I would stay away from these folks. The red flags were there from the beginning when Bobby missed the appointment to make an estimate for removing 2 bird's nests from our home. Then, after he went by the next day to look at the job, he gave us an estimate. After a week, it finally made it to the office and when they gave me the written estimate it was over $100 more than what Bobby had told me on the phone. But we made the appointment to get it done. The next day, the called and said the appointment had to be changed. OK, so we made another appointment. On the day of appointment, 30 minutes before the end of the time window (11am-2pm) and only after I called to make sure Bobby was coming, he told me the current job went long and he would have to reschedule. Since moving into my home I knew we had some uninvited, pesky vermin neighbors and roommates . Noises in the attic, in the walls, as well as chewed wires and insulation under my hot tub were signs. My trusted Westies, A.J. followed by Jackson, experts in vermin detection, Ratters by design, confirmed our suspicions, constantly on alert to noises in the house and sniffing the base of the hot tub regularly. Initially I called two companies for inspection and bids, getting estimates from both. Following a bonafide referral, I contacted Archie's Aloha Pest Management for a third bid. Archie's Pest Technician, Nick Magorian arrived as scheduled, and meticulously inspected my home inside and out to assess the rodent "invasion", noting the possible number of "uninvited guests", the various locations and ways they were gaining access. Two days later a detailed estimate was presented for rat exclusion, interior trapping, outdoor trapping, rodent stations, with periodic visits to monitor the success of the exclusion/expulsion. Nick Magorian was so through and totally on it!! They didn't have a chance getting into or staying in my house. Last week Nick arrived as scheduled to finish the job, rodent clean out and sanitation . Quickly removing rodent droppings, debris, nests, and soiled insulation, followed by cleaning and sanitizing spray, my Attic is sparkling. Working with Nick educated me on the do's and don'ts of proper rodent control. Archie's is extremely careful to use only non-toxic bait stations and sanitation materials. I was definitely concerned that my Westie might find one of the departed guests outdoors and ingest something toxic or try a taste of a pesky vermin. No worries - Non-toxic is paramount to Archie's. From start to finish my experience with Archie's, starting with scheduling with Kyla in the front office to the Vermin Magician Nick was nothing short of fabulous. Well, this'll be sort of an offbeat review as I ended up NOT needing their service, but that's kind of the point. I contacted Aloha via their online contact form and received a response the following business day. After a weird glitch in which they quoted me a price before ever looking at the place or knowing what our pest issues might be, they agreed to send out an inspector to help assess our needs. Shawn called me the day before our intended meeting to solidify his planned arrival time, and was here promptly as planned. But...when I showed him a bug that had been pestering us (I happened to catch one about half an hour before he arrived), he didn't know what it was. Said he was pretty sure it wasn't a termite. Took a close up photo of it and really checked it out. That particular bug was our biggest concern as we thought we may have a termite issue. Shawn said he wasn't the termite guy, but that he'd have the office contact me to set up a different time with that specialist. A couple hours later he called me to let me know he'd inquired about the bug, determined it's an emerging mud dauber wasp and absolutely not a termite, and said we didn't need a termite guy to come out. Well, we hope he's right, and we appreciate him not trying to upsell us any services. We live in the country and a certain amount of bugs are to be expected, so we're not really interested in regular sprays. We have cats to take care of rodents, and a broom to brush out the cobwebs and remove the daddly long legs when they become too abundant (they do us a service by removing flies, so we coexist with them to some extent). read more

In 2020 This company did some work for my father Errol Bennett, an elderly man caring for my mom, who had severe dementia. He had an adjustable rate loan he was trying to refinance through a VA loan. The loan officers sent Archie's Aloha out to do building repairs they said were needed for the loan to be issued. The original estimate was for $10,000 to do termite work on the house. As they started the work, they then said it would cost up to $17,000, and then sneakily they bilked him for another $25,000 on top of that for repairs he actually didn't need and for crappy work (see picture) that fell apart within a year. What was supposed to be $10k in termite control turned into $41k of crap work. Unfortunately my elderly father was just too distracted and not competent enough to understand what was going on. The loan never went through, which left my father on the hook to pay these bogus bills. This was elder abuse, pure and simple. I had an attorney send letters informing Archie of the elder abuse, however, to fight this abuse would cost thousands of dollars my father didn't have. Aloha filed a mechanics lien against the house which made it impossible for my father to refinance. My father has twice went to talk with Archie about the flagrant abuse he suffered and asked him to remove the lien so he could refinance. The only answer he got was that he needed to speak with his lawyer. I am telling everyone: Beware! DO NOT WORK with this company. They are unethical, predatorial, and incompetent. This has been a financial nightmare for my father. You do not want to work with people of this ilk. read more

Do not use this business. I used them in the past and they have been fine. They have become lying, unprofessional, dishonest and incompetent. They do not return phone calls on numbers that you leave on their voicemail. They sent a service person out when I was not home, without even knowing what I wanted done, then charged me $195.00 using a credit card I number I had given them months ago for completely different service. I have had to file a fraud charge with my bank. I talked to Sarah on the phone who stated she is the "termite person" and I needed to talk to the "other pests person." I asked her to have someone call me. Then here is the CLINCHER. SHE DID NOT HANG UP THE PHONE PROPERLY AND I LISTENED TO HER AND ANOTHER MALE EMPLOYEE YELL AT EACH OTHER FOR 25 MINUTES. They called each other "F...ing piece of s.....," "slow" "stupid" and heard Sarah say "Well, it wasn't necessarily sexual, but ..." "All you guys are pieces of s...." etc. etc. etc. I heard the name 'Miguel', but didn't know if that was who Sarah was yelling at or if it was another employee she was referring too. YIKES!!! THIS IS A PLACE OF BUSINESS??? UPDATE: NO ONE CALLED BACK. As the day has cooled, I see MILLIONS OF ANTS are still all over!!! I will leave this review up until someone calls me back and makes this situation right. Will update if that happens. UPDATE: I talked to Kayla or Kyla and she denied everything I have experienced, would not accept responsibility for their unprofessional and toxic behavior. Archie is a crook. He cost me money and time, which was nothing but a waste. He inspected my house for a refi and when I didn't need any pest removal, he tried to extort me for $500 in repair work after he said I would have a clean report. I called about getting this work done but Archie never called me back! I ended up having another company who fumigated the house when I bought it a few years ago come out and reinspect just so I could get my loan cleared. All the other reviews that mention about his lying, no show reputation are true. Stay away from this guy. He is only looking for a quick buck and will cheat you to get it. read more

Woke up in the middle of the night to that sweet sound of something moving around in the attic. I wasn't sure if it was just noise from the wind or something actually up there. Two nights later, same thing, so out comes the ladder and a couple mouse traps are set. For a couple weeks we were periodically awaken by that same sound, but no mice in the traps. Finally after about another week, I caught two mice and reset the traps. It got to the point that every night we would wake up in anticipation of noises in the attic again. Enough was enough, we're losing sleep over this. I was referred to Aloha Pest Management by a friend and made the call. The next day Nick showed at the time promised. After just a couple minutes I could tell Nick was very knowledgeable in his profession and truly loved his job! After explaining several possibilities, he said "all right, let's check it out". Over the next hour Nick found several points of entry where mice or rats could make their way to my attic. The next day I had a written proposal to seal my access points and eliminate whatever pests had infiltrated my house and garage. A week later Nick completed all the repairs, proudly showed them to me, and set traps throughout my attic and garage. He came back once a week for a month to check and reset the traps as necessary. Got a couple more mice and a big fat mama rat. Success! Our house is now mouse proof from the outside, rodent free on the inside, and we're sleeping good again. Archie's repaired our landing with Lifedeck technology to seal it. It was part of purchase agreement when we bought our house. It failed within the first year as evidenced by separation between the layers. Attempts to have it looked at and repaired again while still under their 1 year warranty was unsuccessful. After leaving messages and talking to front office, no one bothered with a return phone call. I don't think they are particularly interested in re-doing it on their dime. I have pigeons on the top of my house. I hired Aloha to get rid of them and they told me they would clean up the pigeon poop as well. The cleanup job consisted of spraying the poop of the roof onto my backyard and sidewalk, needless to say, I had to clean up the mess. As for the pigeons, they are still there, so the solution of putting up bird spikes didn't do the job. There was no follow up to check on the status or anything. read more

I called these guys when I found a bug in my house. They came highly recommended but the communication was poor at best and when they finally did show up they left a board off my kitchen cabinets and they never called me back to tell me about what they found during the inspection!
