Being very disappointed with another local pest control company I went to research other companies who could provide better service at a better price. I was fortunate to learn about Story Termite & Pest Control. I called the office, and explained the lack of service we had, what I was looking for and what Story could provide. They put in contact with our technician, Brian who meet me at the house. We walked the perimeter and I explained what we had in terms of bugs and those pesky ants that always seem to get inside certain areas during the warm summer months. While there was an initial cost, I was happy to pay it to start our service. It's 6 months and Story has been to the house three times. Minus the flies during the summer months, we've been very happy with the service we have received. We agreed to pay extra for a lift so they wouldn't walk all over the spanish tile roof and break tiles. They showed up with no lift and were walking all over the roof. There are broken tiles now. Then the office lied and said that we had signed a waiver and said that we had stated we were going to replace the roof anyway....which is a complete fabrication. I never said that to them. Then they got their little feelings hurt and walked off the job when we called them out on their screw up. I would not EVER call this company, EVER. read more

I was so Delighted with local business Story Pest Control when representative BRIAN Woodard showed up toute suite, right away, during a recent horror of ants at my home. I needed someone right away because the biting ants were even all over my dogs outside! He answered all my questions, quoted a very good price with a great guarantee and signed the deal. I have been using Story Termite and Pest Control for years, just never thought to write a review until today. Dave was out spraying our home in Atascadero and I had taken a photo of a nasty spider that bit a friend of mine and it became very infected. I sent Dave a photo of it and he was able to identify it for her (Wolf Spider). If he sprays when I am not home, he always moves the dog and cat water bowls and bedding out of the way which is a nice thoughtful touch. Story Termite goes above and beyond for their customers! When we first moved into our new home, it was infested with critters. Dave (the owner) came right over and immediately took care of the infestation. Just recently our dog became suddenly ill after playing in the backyard. The ER doctor suggested we call our pest control guy to see if there was any rat bait outside the perimeter of the home that we were unaware of. One call to Dave, and he immediately rushed over (and we live far off the beaten path) to see if any of the rat bait boxes were tampered with. They weren't. You need a key to get into those things. Our dog turned out to be fine, thank goodness! We have never experienced such amazing customer service and will definitely continue to use Story Termite! read more
