Having a lot of hands on experience as well as hiring subcontractors to complete projects beyond my abilities, I was ready to be underwhelmed again by shoddy workmanship, poor communication and having to pick up the pieces afterwards. Mike, the Owner and his extremely kind and prompt office staff replied to my inquiries in a timely manner and with a reasonable quotation given the unfolding scope of a severely damaged soffit on our aging building. Mike was able to accommodate our schedule and his crew was on the job, everyday until it was completed. They cleaned up at the end of every work day and creatively solved issues as they arose. I noticed termites in a light fixture in my home, and called Genesis the following morning. Mike promptly came to my home that very day. While he was identifying the termite issue, he noticed some nests of stinging red ants and sprayed the perimeter of my home very thoroughly. I have small children who had been bitten by the ants so I really appreciated this! The subterranean termite treatment was done while we were out of town. We returned home to find everything in order and the termites and ants gone. We are very pleased with their work. So I unfortunately found out I had bed bugs about a week ago. I called Brezden pest control first who found where they were located, after finding out how expensive heat treatment was I called around to multiple pest control places to hear my other options. Eric, who works for genesis offered to come take a look free of charge (which was nice!). They thought the chemical treatment would be efficient and would save us $1400. So we decided to go with that treatment. Eric was able to come do the treatment within two days of the problem and was in and out of the house quickly. I did everything they recommended like encased my mattresses and did not vacuum or sweep for a couple days. Bed bugs are probably up there on things I am most disgusted by, so being paranoid I only bought new bedding and a frame to get my bed off the floor. Also purchased some dichotomous earth to sprinkle around and bed bug spray from Amazon. It's been 5 days and so saw have only seen dead ones. Fingers crossed they don't come back. But genesis has a 30 day guarantee which gave me some comfort! Overall they seemed to get things done efficiently and were friendly about it. Even the owner was available by phone during the process and was willing to speak with my parents about the process. Now I will just pray no more bed bugs show up! read more
