Woods came out and inspected around for possible entry points and didn't find any obvious signs of infestation. They suggested the bat had flown into the room and roosted somewhere inside the house (!) during the day. So that night we left our bedroom windows opened, door closed and slept in another br. Sure enough, no more bat since then. It must've found its way out. Although they didn't actually remove a bat, they made the effort to come out and investigate. Much appreciated! On the day of appointment, 30 minutes before the end of the time window (11am-2pm) and only after I called to make sure Bobby was coming, he told me the current job went long and he would have to reschedule. Tufts of insulation were strewn about the ground and some was hanging outside of a vent that led to an attic. Based off of a recommendation from a previous neighbor and research into local options, I called James. I was Immediately impressed with his in-depth knowledge and his willingness to explain and share his experience. After telling him about my location as well as a brief description of what I found, he was able to accurately describe my fence line, how it led up to a small landing, where the soffits were located, and what he suspected was happening. He came out, assessed the situation, and based off of the evidence he identified the culprit as most likely being a raccoon. He then provided me with options on how we could proceed. At no time was I pressured into picking an option that I was uncomfortable with. He went over the details for each option and clearly explained what was recommended vs what was less pressing and optional. We went with having him monitor the intrusion for 3 days and then replacing all of our old galvanized steel soffits with more coastal friendly poly-vinyl ones. We recently discovered evidence of termites, and remembering our positive experience, we called him again. He came to inspect the situation very quickly. Honestly, he was available to come the next day, but my work schedule delayed us. He arrived to do the inspection at the time he said he'd be there, and the inspection was quick and thorough. He provided a detailed explanation of our situation and the steps he'd need to take to address it. His explanation left us very confident that he knew what he was doing. The next step, soil treatment, was scheduled on the day of the inspection. That day he arrived on time and knocked it out. Some of the work he needed to do involved drilling through our foundation but this left no mess at all. What little foundation dust there was, he cleaned up. We felt the estimate was reasonable, and our final bill was exactly what he quoted us. The guy is super personable, explains everything in a detailed way, and is very efficient.
