The leather craftsman/person is Lu Comora, and she was making a custom alligator bag when I walked in, very Hermes type of design. Apparently was trained by a former Hermes craftsman. Anyway, she is such a skilled leather worker, -- I loved watching and then experiencing the feel of the hand-polished edges. I began to understand the difference between manufactured versus custom leather bags. She told me she makes all of her bags there on-site. (She's really nice to talk to) What a delight to find her shop-- Imagine importing Hermes into a small atelier in Santa Rosa! I'll definitely be back! This was the highlight of the wine-tasting weekend.
