In a new town, I go to privately owned tackle shop to get info on where to fish, what to fish for, how to rig up. I drove 45 minutes each way to go to Yuba City Bait and Tackle. Was totally worth it. Rhett knew where the salmon had gotten up to on the Feather River. He told me where to put our float tubes in. I caught (and released) a huge steelhead, which pulled me around in the tube for a while.

The store called me 3 days ago and said I could pick up my shotgun today which is actually past the 10 days. I received a phone call today that my application was still pending. When I called the store back i spoke to the owner he was extremely rude and short with me. I asked him why his store called me a few days earlier and told me I had no problems picking up my gun today. He responded with if I don't like his response he would cancel my order making it so I wound have to wait another 10 days. I asked him for a phone number so I could try and follow through with the process and if others that purchased before me where abel to get their guns. He wouldn't answer about wait times and said he would give me a number only to hang up on me. He then called me back in 2 minutes saying he canceled my order that a refund would be waiting at the store. I couldn't t believe this guys anger management issues and that he would do this after waiting the 10 day period. I contacted the police, they where able was to get me a partial refund. However, even though this guy cancelled my order he did not refund me the whole amount. The state fees and their fee was not refunded now I have to wait another 10 days to get another weapon. To the owner: I understand we are in hard times right now and that I'm sure your under a lot of stress. But you shouldn't t take your stress out on customers you should be great full you still have a job/business. Yes everything might be backlogged but you can nicely explain that and not have your employees call me and tell me I'm ok to pick up on a day only to not be. And to cancel a contract after waiting 10 days putting my family at risk just because your mad and taking away my legal right to purchase a gun shame on you . Then to take part of my money that you did not refund even worse. I hope others read this when deciding to do business there or purchase a gun. Treat people right. Back in the fall we had tried to order a clarinet for our son somewhere else which arrived late and missing parts. I took it to two different stores here in Sacramento and it was not worth being fixed. For weeks, I looked at other local used ones for sale at the music stores and by private sellers and they were expensive or not much better than the broken one I had and I was getting panicked. My Mom actually called this store and the man said he actually had quite a few to choose from at a very reasonable price. When I called he was very patient while I asked him a ton of specifics about each instrument and offered some very helpful information as well. We made the drive with cautious expectations and he helped us pick out the perfect clarinet even at a super reasonable price. I even had it checked at my local music store while I was picking up the music book and they said it was great. And that thing still sounds amazing even after months of being carted around to band practice. I wish I would have known about this place sooner, but next time I need any other instrument help I won't be messing around and just drive the hour to YC. I've also been in the shop when he's appraised guitars. He's pretty fair about it. I have yet to see him gouge anyone. He's also awesome at repairs.

I used to go in and get a grilled chicken breast or steak bites everyday for lunch but that is no longer an option. Your options are fried foods, Indian food and "burritos" that are not your typical burritos. Only reason I continue to go is because that is essentially the only option for a quick bite in Sutter. I think the drive time to Yuba may be worth it now.
