Girls needed a power snack in between 2 of 3 waterpolo games. The 'maker' guy was cordial and quick to pile all the ingredients together for our groups bowls... I had to go to the very cute cafe next door to get an iced americano, on account that he didn't have any cold brew for the coffee protein shake!! but he did discount it-accordingly so cheers to that!!

I'm so glad they didn't close! When they moved from Long Beach I had to follow along. I make my drive out to Los Al just to get my fix. My build your own bowl is always made perfectly, and they're always especially mindful when I tell them my allergies. Kind staff, in and out with very little wait. (Picture is from when they were in Long Beach)

Nothing but a green thang . Juice not bowl. Best ingredients thank you!!!

There were a variety of choices for sides and I chose a fruit bowl. I also requested an iced vanilla latte. Our waiter was pleasant and only checked on us once after our plates arrived, which was perfect as we were in deep conversation. My Monte Cristo was pan-fried and not deep-fried the traditional way, cut and served as three pieces. The French toast was prepared nicely and the turkey, ham, and cheese inside were fine. A small ramekin of syrup was provided, not nearly enough for dipping, but there was a full dispenser of syrup on the table so no problem. Usually a berry jam is provided on the side but they provided some sort of mysterious fruit jam that was bitter and a single small taste of it was all it took to deny it from further use. Yuck. The bowl of fruit was a great choice for a side. It was all bursting with flavor - strawberries, banana slices, and blueberries! I was glad I chose this over potatoes or fries. The iced vanilla latte was, at best, simply "okay". The flavor was weak. Overall, it was a fine breakfast meal.

I can't have them from anywhere else because these hit the spot so hard that no one can compete. I personally have not tried anything else, but my kids have enjoyed other treats from this place. They are located in Cerritos at a very busy shopping plaza and there's plenty of parking. I didn't expect the bakery to be an actual restaurant. There was a good crowd, sitting at tables and eating and drinking. They have about a dozen different flavors of macaroons. You can't go wrong with any of them, but my top favorite are the Birthday, Fruity Pebble, Horchata, Cappuccino and Ferrero Rocher. They make nice gifts too, as they can put it in a treat box in an ice brown paper bag. I definitely need to come back and try their drinks and something else from their menu.

The pistachio cake was a little dry -- not terrible, but noticeable. However, my hot salted caramel latte was actually very good and paired really well with the dessert. The music and atmosphere were nice, and there were only a few patrons inside, which made it feel relaxed. However, there were a couple of dirty plates left sitting on tables while one employee seemed more focused on organizing napkins instead of clearing them. I also wasn't too sure how fresh the cakes were since they had been sitting in the display. Whether I come back really depends on the flavor and quality of the food and drinks next time around.

I was excited about the coffee flight- my favorite was the raspberry mint mojito. If you order the flight, I recommend drinking from the mint mojito - raspberry - blackberry. Our server was nice and she explained the menu. She also mentioned that they take their food seriously, and she was not kidding. I liked how they set up the menu because in a specific section (I think, or maybe it's all sections can't remember) you order one of the main dishes and it comes with a small plate already. I ordered the custard French toast with a side of eggs and bacon. The BACON! Normally when I order bacon at places it's not something I overly enjoy because often times it's too hard or too oily-- I swear this was the perfect piece of bacon I've ever had. My husband ordered the beef short rib hash and I've never seen him eat sweet potatoes ever in our many years together. If I remember correctly, he cleaned his bowl of food. He was a little late in adding the sauce, which he regrets, so if you order this don't forget to try it with the sauce in the beginning. Inside the restaurant has some pretty interesting art around Filipino culture. Some minor feedback being that as fellow Filipinos were dining at the restaurant- I didn't quite understand the Filipino art or how that tied into the theme or roots of the restaurant or its history and would've loved to know more on how that came about or the story behind the choice to have that theme. Nevertheless, everything was amazing.

And then during a Yelp search, I saw the ratings. So, I went in last Friday for a late brunch with my parents and i can definitely say that i was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall at the corner of Westminster Ave and Seal Beach Blvd. in Seal Beach. There is lots of parking out front and there is a handicap ramp leading to the entrance. From the parking lot to the interior of the restaurant, everything is clean with beautiful and simple floral designs. We came in at a down time as it was an hour or 2 prior to closing on a weekday. So, we just about enjoyed the whole restaurant to ourselves. As we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and immediately led to our table. The interior of the restaurant is setup like a country diner with booths and a long breakfast counter with high chairs. Only way more modern with fresh wall colors, rustic wood accents, vibrant tiled floors and large glass windows. It is Cozy and inviting. The old school playlist adds a relaxing touch. I really liked the live edge look-alike design on the tables. The wall of the hallway leading to the restrooms, is covered with really cool kids hand drawings. I thought this was a nice touch. I really like their overall menu which offers something for everyone. (See full menu in attached pictures) I ordered the Ribeye steak and eggs. The steak was tender, the sunny side up eggs were cooked over easy and i asked for the hash brown to be extra crispy. And it also came with 2 slices of toast. It was really good. My Mother got the Greek chicken skewer which is one grilled chicken skewer with grilled onions and bell peppers on a bed of garlic butter rice, a side of Tzatziki and a greek salad. My mother ate it all, i had a taste of it. It was delicious. My father was not hungry so he just had a latté. We all had a latté. They also have an orange juicer for fresh squeezed OJ and a pastry case. That day, they had some really fresh looking Almond croissants. Overall, we had a very good first time experience. Gioia, our server, who could have been the manager for all i know, was so kind, welcoming and accommodating. Which made our experience even better. I will definitely be coming back. FYI: they open at 7am and close at 3pm I highly recommend Sunny side Café.

I've worked in the service industry myself, and I know that even if something is delayed, taking a moment to let your table know what's going on makes a huge difference. It wasn't so much the wait that bothered me, it was being left wondering what was happening. My eggs were also undercooked compared to how I ordered them, but by the time they arrived I just ate them. To be fair, the manager did come by and check on us, which I appreciated. Before leaving, we stopped by the bakery and grabbed a few pastries, and honestly those were the highlight of the visit. They were delicious. I had the feeling that they were double battered, breaded, and then fried. Felt like I died and went to heaven as I ate those onion rings. The food gets 5 stars Onto the most important highlight of my experience eating here, my wonderful and amazing server, Sarah. She was awesome and gave me a full rundown of all of the sides, sauces, cheeses that could come with my burger. Loved her warm attitude and running commentary as I ordered. Knowing that she loved the Arnold Palmer and bacon cheeseburger with onion rings made me feel like I made the right choice. Pretty cool to have a server with similar tastes in food. Also, she helped move my walker out of the way so it wouldn't block the flow of foot traffic. Kudos to her for that too. She'll probably be my favorite member of the wait staff if I ever come back for lunch again. Overall, a sweet girl with the right attitude. 5 stars for her amazing service. Finally, the overall appearance and ambience of the restaurant made me feel like I stepped back into my childhood in the 2000s. Timeless decor and comfortable seating along with it being busy during lunch with regulars made me appreciate this place even more. The wait for my food wasn't terrible considering it was the lunch rush. If anything the time it took made everything taste better. The overall ambience and vibe of the place gets 5 stars as well.
