Update: After my review, the owner and the manager both reached out to me separately and apologized for the experience. They offered to give me a make up session with another one of their masseuses, Beatrix, who is better at sports massages. I appreciated the quick response and set up an appointment to give them another try. I'm really glad I did because the massage with Beatrix was fantastic! She knew exactly what my pain points were and told me where this was stemming from, including my previous injury. Needless to say, I will certainly be back for Beatrix going forward! Original Review: I decided to try this spot for a 90-minute sports massage after seeing great reviews on Reddit and Google. It was much cheaper than my usual place, so I thought it could be my new go-to, especially since I'm very active and get massages at least once a month for maintenance. I booked online and was paired with Jordy. A staff member introduced him, explained that Jordy doesn't speak English, and would help translate. I told her I tweaked my lower back from playing sports last week, I generally have very tight muscles, and asked for medium-firm pressure. She relayed everything to him, and he led me to the massage room. As soon as he started, I knew immediately that this was not going to be a the type of massage I wanted. I tried to give it some time but it genuinely felt like he didn't know what he was doing most of the time, or he was running out of things to do. The pressure was inconsistent--sometimes too soft and he was only going over my back with his forearm over and over again. Sometimes it was painful because he used his knuckles way too hard in random spots. He didn't work on my lower back at all, even though I specifically asked for focus there. My upper back and neck, where I have the most knots, also didn't get attention. There were times he was just shaking my arms and legs around. I was pretty frustrated by the end. The total came out to $145 for 90 min, which is more affordable than my usual place ($140 for 60 min). I tipped $20, which is definitely low for me, but I just couldn't justify tipping more given the experience, especially knowing that I was going to have to book myself a massage at my usual spot later this week. The space was clean and modern though, and the staff was friendly. Maybe the good reviews are for the other masseuses here. read more

An 80 minute facial for $95, in this economy? Sign me up. I've walked by Natura Spa probably thousands of times over my many years in Astoria, and always thought it was just a nice looking hair salon. When I was in need of a facial last week and my main spot was booked up I did a quick search to see what was open in the area, and Natura Spa's anti-aging facial caught my eye. They had same day availability, so I booked an appointment. There was a bit of a wait when I arrived, but eventually my esthetician came and took me to the lower level which is where their facial and body treatments happen. This facial included everything you could possibly do to a face. Steam, cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, masks, red light, the zapper tool that's supposed to kill bacteria, those ice globes, plus a face and body massage. An insane value for the amount of time and attention that gets put into this service, if you ask me. My esthetician was great and checked in with me throughout. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great value and a great facial. I'll be back. read more

Booked a couples massage here this month and was very pleased with the overall service. There was an initial request from them on the day of to change the appointment time, but it was minimally inconvenient. I found this to be a clean, welcoming environment, especially since the massage room was located upstairs and away from the loudness of the downstairs salon area. The two masseuses were professional and listened to our concerns about where we needed some extra attention. It was very easy to tip afterwards, as they accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle. I would have liked to sit a bit and have my cup of water at the end of the massage, but I did feel some pressure to pay up, tip, and leave. It would have been a bit nicer to sit a bit before having to settle up the bill so hopefully we will have a chance to do that next time, as we would love to return here again. read more

I had a terrible experience, I have given clear instructions of how I wanted my haircut to be and the hairstylist decided to get creative out of nowhere, not to mention the countless times he has scratched my neck with the machine. This is unacceptable, and they still had the audacity to offer me a ridiculous discount of $15 dollars. Absolutely deplorable, please do better or not at all. read more

Booked a blow out with Divya pretty last minute midweek. She did a great job, and was really sweet. She washed my hair and brought me to her chair. I wanted volume and waves but she said they'll fall flat bc it was humid out and my hair is heavy. So she opted for straightening which she blowed out first then straightened. I have followed Mike from a few salons ago and have been going to him for, gosh, maybe 6+ years or so? My husband now goes to Mike as well. He is the best! He is kind, friendly and genuine; which you don't always find. He is also a brilliant stylist! I trust him with my hair, completely. On top of that, spas generally ask if you want your glutes to be massaged, and I wasn't asked and more so just a verbal check-in after the fact. After that experience, I didn't get a massage for a whole year, and yet I felt a need to tip them as the front desk lady and the masseuse looked at me expectantly. I'm not sure if they are aware of how the lack of communication could impact customers, but hopefully they can create a better experience for customers in the future. THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS I came in to try the deal that they were offering around the same time. The lady who did the extensions for me was truly giving her best, I could tell, and was very friendly. However, the process, wasn't totally smooth. I recall my eyes stinging because the glue would get into my eyes and after the entire experience was over, I realized my eyelashes were very stiff because there was too much glue used on each strand of extension! I think overall, despite the nice intentions of the staff, the services were subpar compared to many of the spas/extension spots I've been to, and it's like they are oblivious to this! I'm glad I finally got this off my chest after so long.

Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? Fifteen minutes into our 90-minute couples deep tissue massage, I saw my husband's therapist, Lydia, typing on a lit smartphone while leaning over him. When she realized I saw her, she hid the phone under the sheets. There is no version of this that is acceptable. Texting during a paid massage is blatant misconduct. It didn't stop there. My husband repeatedly asked her to focus on his neck and shoulders and avoid his feet. His requests were ignored. The technique was lazy and mechanical - repetitive forearm circling with little to no pressure, despite requesting deep tissue. He left feeling like he didn't receive a massage at all. When we raised the issue, the owner acknowledged the behavior was "unacceptable" yet offered only a 25% discount - as if actively texting during a massage, ignoring repeated client requests, and delivering a substandard service were minor inconveniences. This wasn't just a bad massage. It was a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We will not be returning.

My husband and I got a 90 min massage where we were in the same room. It was nice that we were in the same room. Minus one star for the close train it just ruins the ambiance. I would suggest the owner play soft music. My husband loves his massage because his person used bars and walked on his back technique. My massage therapist did not use that technique because I am to sensitive. The foot massage was amazing. I really love hot stones that they used too. I think they could of used a little more oil or use aromatics in oil too. Overall $85 for 90 mins is a great deal.

The massage was 80 percent done via elbow Vs hands. 3.5/5 I deducted another half star because when I received the receipt, the tipping options were 25% and up. The massage was mid at best. I tipped 20% and was told for a 90 min massage it should be $20-25-which is pretty bold. It rubbed me the wrong way no pun intended.

Though the site showed that they had no availability on this date I called and was able to be fit in that same day. The receptionist mentioned that my esthetician Rebecca had a language barrier, but she and I got on perfectly fine during my hour long service. She started with cleansing and steaming my face, then got to work using the microdermabrasion and hydration tools which felt like a small suction running up and down my face. I'd never had any type of dermabrasion done to my face before and was a little nervous about how uncomfortable it would feel, but the facial was virtually painless. My skin was feeling a little hot after the treatment, but luckily the next step was a cooling facial mask that smelled kind of like eucalyptus. Rebecca massaged my arms and neck while I had this on, which was my favorite part of the facial. She applied some cream as a finish at the end, and when I looked at my face again my skin looked notably less dull. My blackheads were no longer so visible, and even my pores seemed tighter. This facial was on the pricier side, but I was happy to learn that they have more inexpensive options like the glow and go facial - just $65. The spa itself is beautiful and brand new. It's a relaxing atmosphere which is hard to cultivate when you're stepping in off busy Steinway street. I will absolutely be back.

It was at a set price and advertised on their monthly specials. I came in for the treatments and they were also fine but when i checked out the amount charged seemed higher than i remembered. i asked the counterperson if i was getting the package price and they said yes. I went home and checked their promo post.. i had been overcharged $75. So i called.. they apologized for the simple mistake and said they would refund me promptly.. only they didn't. I called again and same story. Then i started receiving marketing calls from them to ask me to book again.. every time i asked about my refund and was told "oh yes we will process that now"... it's been over 5 months..
