    A staple in the community for over five decades, Pete's is a local gem and the store owner himself shines just as brightly in both character and kindness. His story is truly an embodiment of the American dream, as he started in the states with nothing but a hard work ethic and an earnest desire to learn the local language. I highly recommend checking out the peaches, figs and olives offered--our tastebuds were blown away. From shelved produce to pretty perennials stationed just outside, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

    I would have given this place a perfect 5-star review had I gotten an decent service from the cashier lady upfront because this is a very nice locally owned small business grocery and fruit shop which could be considered a gem in this residential neighborhood. The problem was the whole nonchalant, unwelcoming attitude of the cashier lady who didn't even say a word to me when I brought my groceries upfront. It didn't have to be an elaborate "Hi, how are you? Did you find everything okay!" greeting; just a simple "Hello" would have sufficed. She kept watching the TV right behind me up above (kind of close to the ceiling) while taking out my groceries out of the basket to ring them up. She then stated the total and took my debit card (it was only $8.58.) She then nonchalantly said "Thank you" once the whole thing was done but she immediately went back to watching TV as if she couldn't care less about my presence and business. There were other reviewers who commented about the questionable service they received when they shopped here. Despite the quality of produce and meats they carry as well as how reasonable the prices are here, their unacceptable service diminishes the quality of the store and its reputation and it almost makes me not want to come back ever again. It seemed that this cashier lady was only greeting to the regulars. Not okay!! At this time, I can only give it a 2-star rating. The only reason why they are not getting a 1-star rating is because I saw quality in the produce and meats they sell and they (especially the produce) are reasonably priced.

    What a cute little place that offers great Mediterranean goods, fruits and veggies. I loved the Heirloom tomatos. Killer Baklava. Unique items you wont find most places. Nice people here and great service. Opah!

    Love this market. They have it all, from beautiful flowers, great produce, meats, homemade specialties & dry groceries. We always come by for our Olive oil and a nice conversation with the owner, but always leave with extra treats! This neighborhood market is a gem!

    We were directed here by my fiancé who used to live in the area and boy did we leave happy! We found all of the best imported Greek products for our Easter dinner, lamb chops and some of the most fresh produce I have seen. They have an amazing deli with the best baklava I have ever tasted and the customer service was phenomenal!! Pete will be seeing us again, repeat customers from now on! ;;;

    Oh wonderful neighborhood Greek market/deli/international market. Lots of amazing finds at this grocery store and market. I love the selection of international cheeses, olives, snacks, candies, spices, pastries, a wide variety of different olive oils, sauces seasonings, herbs, jams, jellies and so much more. The produce is so incredible and so beautiful! The deli has some premium cuts of meat. This market also has a wide variety of different types of breads and freshly baked goods. They also have a grab and go area for meals. I love that they have feta, gyro meat, and taziki ready for people to take home and enjoy. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend checking out this market if you were in the area!

    I'm all for supporting local business but I just got ripped off at Pete's... The items don't have prices listed (I shouldn't have been surprised that pre-packaged goods are more expensive here). The shocking thing is seeing that I got charged 13.96 tax on a $70 grocery bill... I think the older lady behind the counter marked up items and significantly overcharged me. It was my first time there and I definitely won't go back/recommend Pete's. It's also worth noting that several items on the shelf were already expired

The prime rib was for my birthday dinner so my husband left his phone number with them. He received a call later that day asking if the prime rib should be fresh or frozen. They wanted to make sure it did not get frozen if it was being used right away. He advised fresh and commented at what good customer service it was to make the distinction. We went together for pick up. The person who helped us when through the entire smoker bundle to show us the contents and then got the rib roast. Everything was well packaged and arranged. Even though it was the Friday before a religious holiday, and many folks were picking things up, it did not take long for us to get our order, pay and be on our way. The meats we have received both on this order and in the past have always been high quality. Edwards is an excellent butcher shop.

They offer fresh eggs and source most, if not all of their meats and produce locally. They work with local farmers and ranchers who treat their animals humanely, grow organic produce and don't use antibiotics, hormones and GMOs (check out their website for more details). Coming from an Italian family, I am well versed in Italian sandwiches. Carmine Lornardo's the real deal! We ordered the 24" Carmine Italian. Every bite was as good as the last. My dad struck up a conversation with Carmine, who was working behind the counter as he does every day, just as his dad (according to him). We sat down at one of the 4 tables to enjoy our sandwich which was pre split for us. As we were finishing up and the lunch crowd was slowing a bit but was still steady, when Carmine stopped at our table to chat with my dad. He told us an amazing story of how their sausage and pepper sandwich was featured in Food & Wine magazine and how he found Put about it. A true Italian man living in his owned world, he was not familiar with the magazine. But that put them on the food seen. He then brought my dad his famous sausage and pepper sandwich, on the house! We came back later that week and ordered pasta with sausage and sauce for dinner which he provided as part of their dinner to go series. If I lived closer, I would never be cooking, I would just be at Carmine's for lunch and dinner! Don't sleep on this authentic Italian restaurant with old world charm.

We were on our way up to red rock and wanted to grab some lunch for the tailgate. We ordered the French dip and the special #5 cutlet sandwich as well as Mac salad and black and white cookie. The sandwiches are expensive but big. The French dip was $13.99 and the special was $18.99 for an 8in. Our meal ended up being around $60 for two sandwiches, a Mac salad, chips and two pastries. The mac salad was very good and tasty but the sandwiches were a total disappointment. The French dip lacked ANY flavor even a bit of salt would've gone a long way. When we dipped it in the au jus, it still lacked any flavor. We ended up only taking a few bites then tossing it and moving onto the #5. Both sandwiches were incredibly soggy and we maybe ate them 20 minutes after getting them. Taste was decent with the cutlet sandwich but oh my heartburn. We both had heartburn the entire duration of the concert. Just a disappointing experience after spending so much money.
