Very Rude Checker!! My wife and her 80 year old Mother were checking out on 11/17/2019 with checker Shane V. and they noticed he was being very rude to the customer in front of them. When it was their turn he was very rude to them as well. My Mother in-law was having trouble getting the system to take her rewards number and it really set him off. My wife trying to defuse the situation ask if he was having a good day at which he replied "great!" In a very hateful tone. We have been shopping here for years and they have always had some of the nicest employees of any store in Lubbock. They need to have a visit with this guy or he will be running good customers off! read more

This is an update to my original review. I take back everything good I said about this store. In my original review, I warned people about the pricing. You have to look at the receipt BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Several prices have been wrong at every visit, and this last visit was the final straw. Even when I pointed out the wrong price, when they tried to correct it, they didn't! I don't know if every store in Lubbock tries to rip off customers, (NG isn't the only one) but it sure seems that way. BYE BYE NG, no more ripping me off! read more

This store reminds me of Rainbow Co-op in Jackson, MS, and what I expected to be cheaper than Sprouts, but was I wrong: 1. I do like the store offers free samples of the products which make shopping seem fun. 2. The products are a lot pricier than at Sprouts. 3. The fruits and vegetable section is limited and there aren't any deals on vegetables such as buy 3 and get them for a small price. 4. I was happy that I found tofurkey and soy sausages. I saw that they sell my favorite brand of chickenless strips (Gardein), but it was pricier than at Walmart. They are $4 and at Walmart, it's $3. Yes, a dollar off, but that matters when you are budgeting. 5. It feels as if you are in Austin, with no plastic bags. Which I find is a good thing, but with the use of boxes?! Come on, that is going a little too overboard. It felt like I was buying plants and not groceries. 6. They offer a mixture of organic, meat, meatless products - if you are curious. I wasn't as impressed as I was when I walked into Sprouts for the first time. read more

Natural grocers is a must go for all your natural and organic needs. All the staff I have encountered have been kind and helpful. They have a good amount of fresh produce, vitamin needs, and pretty much anything that you may need. If you have ever wanted to go, go! To me, it's worth it. read more

The employees here are usually very pleasant. I stopped by this morning around 9:30 and it was not the case. The checker was a poor example of 'the face of the company'. I don't make it to these parts very often. I recently went to visit my dad in my hometown shit hole. I was dreading what kind of GMO crap I was going to have to eat. Did a search before my trip and found there was a Natural Grocer's! Woo-Hoo! I went in and loaded up on grass fed beef, organic fruit and veggies, coconut water, Synergy Chia Kombucha, and a bunch of snacks! I think the prices were even better here than they are in Austin. I have been overwhelmed by Market Street in Lubbock. It's too big, lights are too bright, and there are way too many things which I wouldn't even look at. I am glad to find Natural Grocers because it's a decent size and has everything I need. People are friendly and professional and the whole place is very calm and inviting. Lots of dairy products to choose from and they have good discount too! Since I found this place, I stopped going to Market Street. It's in Lubbock but I don't really feel that I am in Lubbock when I am at this store. read more

I have reason to travel t, and spend time in, Lubbock. I was thrilled when Natural Grocers opened on Slide Road. I think it is one of the best things to happen in Lubbock in a long time. By far, it has the friendliest and most knowledgeable employees, immaculate, very affordable, all organic produce, no harmful ingredients on these shelves. Superb customer service. Going into this store is a treat and an experience. It's in a league all of its own. Imagine going into a store where employees and customers are happy and smiling!! Natural Grocers is a real winner. Fills a great niche for my shopping needs living near Slide & 50th--there were no grocery stores around! Nearest is Quaker & 19th, 50th & Indiana, or Quaker & 60th! Great selection of loose teas and spices and fresh foods (including ones packaged for convenient lunches, etc.) that has been lacking in the area (the Vitamins Plus store within Drug Emporium doesn't have a produce section). You can also can get lots of home items such as sage and beeswax candles and Japanese bath towels. The store is a nice size (not too huge, carefully selected items, easy to get in and get out, or dawdle, like me) and I am looking forward to seeing how they are expanding the store (more coming soon this summer). I love this place! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, decent prices and great variety. Everything in the store is organic, which makes it nice to not have to label read for which items are or aren't. They offer classes and a nutritionist, too! How many grocery stores can say that? I'm new to paying attention to clean eating, so I have a ton of questions. Never once have I feel like I was bothering them, nor that they were "put out" by helping me. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to try more natural organic items. read more

I love Natural Grocers! For a small grocery store they stock everything I need. It's rarely ever busy like large grocery stores, and the staff is so helpful and friendly. If they don't carry something they will do their best to order it for you. I've found their prices are actually cheaper on many things than Sprouts, and all their produce is organic, which Sprouts has a very limited organic produce section. They also have an online rewards system that allows you to earn coupons. I love that I can get organic, non-GMO, pasture raised, free range, and truly all natural products here in the LBK. read more

I went to walk around this place because it is clearly pretty new. I would compare it to a smaller version of Sprouts. I don't think they have a selection to brag about. I didn't find anything in this store that I couldn't find in Spouts or Central Market. They had a very tiny produce departments, lots of vitamin aisle and a whole lot of organic products. Don't get me wrong, nothing looked bad . It just wasn't very impressive or unique in anyway. I didn't find anything I couldn't live without. read more

They have a nice variety of fresh, in season produce. Both the meat and chicken are quite pricy but a good quality. It is well organized and easily navigated. The employees are all helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Don't forget to bring your own bags! Of course, if you forget, they have recycled boxes for you to use. read more

Recently moved here from northern NM where there is a Natural Grocers. I loved my old store and am happy to say the one here in Lubbock is the same, with an even larger selection of produce. Friendly staff. Thank God Lubbock isn't like it was when I was growing up here in the 70s! read more

Went in tonight 7/11/13 to pickup some items that I wasn't very knowledgeable about...my visit turned out to be the single most pleasant experience in shopping of any kind.
