Companies like Siete, that this store really likes and gives a generous portion of shelving, is amazing. They use avocado and Organic (single sourced) olive oil in all their potato chips, cookies and everything else they make. Spices (organic) are plentiful and very reasonable as well. We came here specifically for lasagna pasta called Cappello's, this is the ONLY place in Portland that had it. Customer service was so nice, helpful, sweet, joyful and did I say nice? Oh wow did NG need this update/upgrade. This store is the same size and layout as the one on 99 and it's SO much more spacious and brighter. Prices are still what NG had before, not pre-pandemic, but before the move. But I feel like the new store layout and the BRIGHTNESS and high ceilings affected the attitudes of the staff because they're mostly happy, or at least who I've encountered. Friendly grocery store with a decent selection. They get picked through pretty quickly with vegetables so get there early or you will get brown lettuce. They are also usually pretty low on frozen produce too. We love the bread selection and we often try new items and find stuff we love. Seven Sundays cereal and Siete tacos and seasoning, almond flour crackers and the meat selection is quite good. read more

This is a fairly well stocked store, And the workers are very friendly and helpful, however the pricing was so high, that we only bought half of the items we went in for. They did give us a free tote bag, however that really didn't make up who are the prices that were easily 50% higher than other stores we've been in. read more

So I'm giving 4 stars despite being a place I frequent not too often yet will soon be updating another review giving another business just 3 stars that I'm a regular at. Yes I know it doesn't make sense does it? But I'm forthright about it. So this place you have to rate them based on what they meant to be. Don't expect a large deli, meat, or seafood department like other grocery stores. I mean, they cater to alternative food lifestyles. They have a dairy department with many began options, a produce dept, frozen/refrigerated foods, and a lot of non perishable pantry items along with a large supplement & health/beauty area comparable to bigger stores. Overall produce isn't inexpensive but on occasion you may be able to snag a deal. However overall the dairy & non perishables are in fact less expensive than Whole Foods & New Seasons. Pre pandemic I was going to begin taking photos of the prices of items between these stores, but now I just want to get in and out asap. Though they carry less variety because they are smaller than the 2 mentioned stores, they sometimes even carry what I don't find at the other stores. For those on GF or vegan diet there are decent options. Prior to the pandemic they offered a complimentary full hour appointment with their nutritionist. The staff is always friendly. Max in dairy is an especially nice helpful guy whose assisted me on several occasions. read more

Only open 3 months and a bright store with easy to find items as the organized sections are easy to spot specific items. Lots of supplements and fully stocked fruits and vegetables, though the dairy section was lacking in the yogurt department for a Monday morning. The employee at check out was very nice and knowledgeable in my questions and had a smile the entire time, lots of events and information on specific topics like keto foods and composting. The store inside isn't as big as the exterior makes it seem but still found half of what I was looking for, with the store being new I can see improvements being made, and location is great! read more

Natural Grocers - Outside - Organic Stores Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

I love the concept of Natural Grocers: sustainability, commitment to the community, nutrition education, empowering health and 100% organic produce at affordable prices. The new store in Tigard is super nice and well stocked with the highest quality groceries, supplements and body care products. The vitamin & supplements section is mind boggling, as is the refrigerated varieties of grains and flours. As for the "affordable" prices part, I found Natural Grocers to be a little higher than many other places I shop. Granted, it's hard to compete with Trader Joe's prices but Natural Grocers is closer by and I don't have to drive as far. The other issue for me is that I'm not 100% on the organic only band wagon. I try to buy organic when buying leafy greens and fresh herbs but don't see the point in choosing, for example, organic bananas over non-organic bananas. I know most people will disagree but I find most organic produce (unless you buy directly from a farm stand) visually unappealing -yes, the brown spots and worm holes in my apples do bother me. Overall, the produce at Natural Grocers looks good and fresh. While Natural Grocers does not have a traditional deli, their "grab and go" section has entrees, desserts, side dishes, sandwiches, salads, soups, burritos, & wraps that you can feel good about eating plus you can feel good knowing you are supporting your local economy and small business at the same time. Employees seem happy and were friendly and helpful. Be aware to bring your own recyclable bags and be ready to bag your own groceries. There are no signs saying so but the woman at the cash register just kept ringing up and made no move to bag anything, we just figured it was up to us, so we bagged our own groceries. I walked in here a bit before closing and I was pleasantly surprised with some of the selection in the store. I noticed some items were on sale but a sign said you needed to sign up for a text coupon account. I went to checkout and asked the cashier if I needed to sign up for the text coupons to get the discounts. She CLEARLY said the discounts were already given and I didn't need to sign up for the coupons. I paid and when I got my receipt I saw the price on one of the items was not discounted! I asked the cashier why they had not given the discount? She said, "you have to sign up with your phone number to get those." In disbelief I said, "that is EXACTLY what I asked you!" She responded, "well I didn't know you were specifically asking about that item." She called her manager and he told me that I needed to sign up with my phone number to receive the discount. I relayed the story and they eventually refunded me the difference for THAT item. No apology, no sorry for the misunderstanding, NOTHING! I Later noticed another item was NOT discounted but they were already closed or I would have gone and got a $0.25 out of principle. Don't just drive by because you think it's spendy, quite the opposite, in fact! 100% organic produce, healthy vegan and vegetarian options plus everything from reasonably priced vitamins/suppliments and meats to pet food and fresh ground nut butters from beer/wine to organic eggs from open-range fed chickens! No GMO's, no fillers... Much cheaper, in cost, than Whole Foods or New Seasons. Free health awareness classes, rewards for {N} Power members, and knowledge from all the department heads on the products they carry. In general I love the company and the products they offer. Tigard store is a bit small. Ive been to Salem, Beaverton, and one other and I'm lucky to have my discount card being married... my biggest gripe is the ultra bright lighting in all of the stores.... o have Epilepsy and the lighting has triggered if I'm correct 4or five drops Atonic seizures. Very kind employees have called the EMS or help. Just wonder why these lights?..some employees come and go, at times fewer employees at the cashier checkers.. great stores.. read more

I go here regularly because I want to support a food store that offers an alternative to the giant big box chains in the triangle. I've found plenty of quality meat and produce, local and gluten free products, weekly deals, and affordable free range eggs. However, my big frustration is the checkout. Not one single time has it been efficient. There is always a line even if the store is empty....often a single checker in no apparent hurry, engaging at length with a customer who wants to discuss every little coupon and the health benefits of rutabagas. It is aggravating for anyone on a timeline, and I've delayed my shopping several times or gone elsewhere because I knew i didn't have the time for the extended checkout. I hope management will invest some training here because it's a big downside to an otherwise excellent store! read more

The store is quite expensive but there are items here I can't find anywhere else. They have an awesome supplement selection but their produce is super expensive ($3.99 for a cucumber?). I signed up for their discount program and receive a nice sales ad every month in the mail. My pet peeve is that it takes them many days to put the signs up for the sale items. I would think it would be the first thing they do when a new monthly sale begins but it takes them days. The ad is not available at the store so you second guess yourself. "Which salad dressing brand was on sale?" This seems like an easy thing for them to fix, but it has been this way since they opened. read more

This is a great location. And I love natural grocers. Which is why I was shocked that the woman at the register (older) was telling a black man to not go to the protest today. She said would you not go- for me? That's when I butt in and said that wasn't ok. She then gave me a major attitude and called for another person to ring me up. Please natural grocers, be on the good side of this movement and history and inform your employees to not engage in political discussions with customers especially urging them not to act on their constitutional rights. read more

I love this place. Staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Produce is fresh, meat looks great, everything is clean and I feel healthier just walking in. I am really glad that this store finally opened a location in Tigard, because I really like their large selection of organic produce and the prices are better than New Seasons or other organic markets, plus they have way more supplements than other health food stores in the Portland area, and I like the prices on the supplements too, very reasonable, the employees in the Beaverton store are real nice and friendly, it feels like a family. But I was disappointed when I tried the Tigard location, it is very small, and it is so difficult to find the products that I use to purchase, also there is almost no one in the store, to ask, and the employers are not very friendly or knowledgeable except one single lady that I finally found in the wellness section, but hopefully they will improve, but too bad they lack lots of the best supplements, very poor selection. Where do I start? Invitation for the store opening came in the mail the day after it happened. OK. Things happen. When I came to check out the new store, which is immediately across the street from me, I found that the building was still under construction - I heard loud noises from the roof, which was quite unnerving. To me it was an equivalent to inviting a company to my house and vacuuming floors, doing dishes and laundry in their presence. I had enough of those noises and traffic disruption all of last summer, which was interfering with my sleep and trying to get home. I could stop by on the way home, possibly, but trying to jump over three lanes of traffic to get to my street is too unsafe. I could walk there from my house, but I would hate stopping the traffic on 99W. Traffic controls were not adjusted at all to meet the needs of the immediate neighborhood. Now to the product selection in the store. I found only a couple of unique items. The rest are readily available in other stores in the immediate vicinity at a much lower price. I am not fond of prepackaged bulk items - I need only that much of dried thyme - the packages were huge. This is why I do not shop in this store. read more

The store is lovely but opening at 8:30am is no bueno. Your missing all the morning commuters who might grab and go some lunch or the moms who drive their kids to school and want to shop on the way home. Trader Joe's made this error for years. 50 percent of the local schools have parents that drive the kids to school, and you have four private schools on 99. (Which don't have bus service)if half grocery shop while they are already on the road, your missing a bunch of patrons. read more
