I got some medium sized knotless braids and they took exactly 5 hours. It was a little confusing finding the shop at first since I'm not familiar with the area, but Sophie walked me through how to find the location on the phone and once I finally arrived a few minutes later, we were able to get started on the braiding quickly. I expressed that I don't like my braids too tight and for her to stay away from my edges and she did everything I asked. She was fast (like crazy fast), but detail-oriented, checked in with me often to see how I was liking it, and pulled through with exactly what I wanted in preparation for my wedding out of town. Adjuana, the owner, answered my call late on a weeknight to book my appointment when another salon bailed on me last minute, got my appointment all set and even called to confirm it the day before. When I got there Coco was ready to go -- I didn't wait for a single second (on a Saturday, which I know ya'll know is unheard of), and the vibe in the shop is low-key but you can tell all the stylists take their work seriously. I just left my appointment so these details are fresh. After scheduling an appointment for 11am and paying the $150 deposit, I get a text message asking if I can come in 1pm. I confirm that's okay but get another text telling me my appointment has been returned to the original time. Weird but okay. I come in at 11 and tell the one of the two stylists who I'm there to see. Stylist 1 (Tawan) says she's not there yet and to wait (she offered me tea while I waited which was nice). Stylist 2 (Delphine) didn't speak to me at all. 40 minutes go by and I text the salon asking if my appointment time changed. I'm guessing the owner called Stylist 1 to see what happened but it turns out when my appointment was rescheduled to 1pm it also changed the stylist from Karen to Delphine but this was never communicated to me! Stylist 2 is who I'm supposed to be seeing at 11am however there's already another client in her chair who's been getting her hair done this whole time. So now I'm frustrated, I'm asked to call the owner which I step out to do. she informs there was a scheduling mishap on their end, confirms Stylist 2 is the only person available for the service I chose so now I have to wait until she's done or reschedule. I ask how much longer she thinks it will take bc I have another appointment later in the day and she just says "soon". I tell the stylist 1 I'm grabbing some food and will be about 30-40 minutes and she tells me that's fine. 20 minutes later the owner calls and says there's not enough to complete my appointment because Delphine who has been doing someone else's hair since I arrived has another job to go to. This is getting long but she offered a 20% discount to come in the next day or my deposit back. I chose to come back but once my appointment was done she said I misheard and only offered $25 off and not 20%. So I paid a total of $275 for a 3.5hr microloc retightening which is pretty steep considering my experience. I know time and rates depend on the loctician/salon but I've never paid more than $200 and it's never taken over 2.5 hrs for my retie, my install was Oct 2 2025 for reference. The actual service itself was questionable, a regular degular crochet needle was used, y'know the pink + green ones you get from the beauty supply for my retie. I told the stylist repeatedly I already shampooed my hair so she says let's go to the wash bowl so she can just "add water"... why I hear her lathering up so I tell her once again NO SHAMPOO. I'm glad she asked first but she also tried lathering my hair in oil afterwards but anyone with microlocs know that conditioners, butters, and oils aren't necessary for styling and can cause slippage especially in the first year so the constant reiterating Anyways, the stylist meant well but trying to shampoo my hair against my wishes, taking over 3 hours to do my hair after having to come back on a WORK DAY, and using a metal crochet hook were huge red flags. The owner Adjuana was shady, her attempts to offer a resolution seemed insincere, especially after she said she would meet me at the salon the next day for my appointment (never showed) and converted the 20% discount to $25 off ( I know what I heard).

A little over braids and wanted to give my natural hair a rest and needed something GYM friendly so let's see what this traditional install is giving. Arrived shampooed, blow dried & ready to go! But I appreciated learning that I didn't need to...honestly a good shampoo is the best part of getting my hair done. Noted for next time. The playlist was definitely a vibe... I didn't wait long. Arrived on time and by noon I was on my way out the door... Love did an amazing job on my hair today. I can honestly say this salon is some trash. From the customer service to the skills of the stylist…read morejust garbage. I came in to get my natural hair dyed blonde and cut into a style. My appointment was at 2:30 but I arrived 40mins early to ensure I wasn't there all day. I saw Susan what I wanted and she gave me some suggestions on color. I told her specifically I want blonde but I don't want it to be orange I also stated that I wanted a more so messed look to my cut because short natural cuts sometimes look boxy and masculine to me. I sat down and waited for her to finish eating which was cool because I don't want a hungry woman doing my hair. She finish eating and talking and everything else the she starts cutting my hair. She uses clippers to fade down the sides and seemed to be having trouble blending the sides to match each other. She then pulled out the scissors and began to shape my hair. Apparently she cut too much so she pulled out the clippers again and began to try to fix it. Then she starts the bleaching process. This is when it got horrible. She applies the bleach. The bleach is falling on my shirt. It's on my face and my ears. Bleach creates what's called chemical burns and as a master stylist I assumed she would know this. Once she is done applying this bleach she sits me in the lobby. My ears are on fire at this point and bleach is on the side of my face. I asked for a towel to wipe my face and ears and she acted like I was bothering her for asking. The shampoo girl washed the bleach out my hair and guess what just as I stated it's orange. She comes over and states she can tone it down and that she made it dark orange. After realizing I was not pleased at all she bleaches it a second time being extremely rough and yanking on my already fragile bleached hair. The bleach power again falling everywhere and she can careless. After they sit me somewhere but at this point I'm extremely ready to go. They wash the second install of bleach out twist my hair and sit me under a dryer. She of course again being super rough pulling these flat twist loose then I'm done this experience is over. Nope she charges me a 180 bucks my hair is probably a 1 half inch long and the second install of bleach is because she didn't know what she was doing. She throws in some little conditioner I can buy from anywhere. I will never ever go there again. By far the worst salon I have ever been to. P.S I got there at 1:40pm I left close to 6pm. Smh
