She kept telling me that I used acrylic, and that what I was sharing about the product that I've used on my nails FOR YEARS, was not true. I took my 5 & 8 year old granddaughters for a mani/pedi. I was quoted $51 apiece over the phone, which I thought was a bit much, but thought it would be worth it. The man (owner) took TWICE as long for my 8yo as the lady (his wife?) did with my 5yo. The chair my 5yo was in didn't massage, and the jets were broken. They did nothing out of the ordinary, and the place was dirty (dust & trash behind the chairs). I have never not tipped at a nail salon, but when he charged me $112, i assumed he added his own tip. **This is an update for my review on 3/28. The 5-star rating is from today and my initial 1-star still stands for my previous visit. I decided to go back to the salon today and discuss the issue with my splitting nails with the owner, Mr. Jimmy. My nails have continued to split and peel, making many tasks unbearably painful. Mr. Jimmy removed my polish and did what he could to smooth out the ridges in my nails. He recommended a product to strengthen them, which I purchased from Amazon while in the salon. He polished my nails. The original nail tech came over and was defensive and not apologetic at all. She didn't own any of it. Moral of the story is to ask for Mr. Jimmy who I am very grateful for! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Worst pedicure I've ever had. The lady scrubbed my feet so hard I left with blisters. My ingrown toenail is now growing into the side of my toenail bed from how short she clipped it as well as my other nails. It hurts insanely bad. Very nice salon and there is a section for children to get manicures and pedicures too. The polish color selection is slightly more limited than some other salons I've been to. There are several options for upgrades to add to your pedicure such as scrubs, hot towels, hot stones, etc. I got the deluxe pedicure and it included the basic pedicure + hot towel, hot stone, a lavender scrub, a lavender clay mask type of cream that was applied on legs and feet and then sat inside a bag for a minute or two, and a foot rub. The only complaint I have is I absolutely hate it when they use the water my feet are soaking in to clean the tools used to remove dead/dry skin. I know a lot of salons do this but I just feel so gross when it happens. read more

The upgraded options for the pedicure probably aren't worth it since the "massage" is basically just having some lotion put on your lower legs, and the aromatherapy scrubs have a weird/artificial smell, so I recommend sticking with the simpler services, but it's a good option for a basic pedicure. read more

Originally planned to go to Gloss Nails for a pedicure based on a friend's recommendation. Didn't have an appointment, but when I walked in and they were too busy they offered to call Fancy Nails and Natural Nails. Right there I should have known to just find another place on my own. Came to Natural because I could get in right away, but sadly I was not very impressed with my pedicure. Pedicures should be an entire all around service and not just a polish change. I like making sure all the dead skin/calluses are off of my feet and I asked the guy to apply more pressure and use the callus, grater looking tool. He acknowledged me, but didn't change tools or apply more pressure. Asked the same for my massage... More pressure...Nothing. Before I sat in the chair I asked if they could add a tip to my big toe that had broken off. I was told yes, but then he polished my nails without doing that! Guess he forgot. I asked twice. All in all I had to ask for what I wanted several times & was not heard. Giving them 2 stars because I will say he did spend a good amount of time making sure he did a nice polish job so I'll give them that. I came in for a simple polish change because I am a college student so cannot afford/don't need to spend any more money. I picked out the only white option avaliable and it was clearly expired because maybe an hour after you could see each layer and the white was yellowed. They tried to get me to do gel or a pedicure probably 10 times. I kept having to say no and give an excuse because they were so pushy. Finally while my nails are drying they ask me if I am paying card or cash. I do not carry cash on me so told them card, all 3 times they asked. Then when I went to pay they said "cash right?". After saying no yet again, they stare at me and the bill while I fill out my receipt making me so uncomfortable and feeling like I needed to leave a big tip. Nails chipped by the next day and like previously said the color was expired because they looked horrible immediately. The other girls in the salon seemed to be happy with their work when they were talking to each other, so it could definitely be just the woman who was working on me. Not once did I see her sterilize anything. then she proceeded to cut the cuticles on my nails and toenails so recklessly that they bled (two of my fingers and one of my toes). She cut my nails then filed back and forth with an overly coarse file that left my nails ragged at the edges. We moved to a chair so she could do my nails under better light. Then she asks me to lift my foot onto her knee so she can apply the top coat on my toenails that she forgot. Seriously? Then, without checking them, she starting painting my nails with gel. Her lines on my french tips were pretty crazy so I asked her to go back and check, but she said they were fine. Anyway, for a pedicure and a french tip gel manicure that overall sucked, I paid 65$ then tipped. I didn't notice how completely horrible they were until the next day, or else I would've not tipped -- hell, I probably wouldn't have paid at all. Anyway, save yourself and don't come here. I initially tried going to a different salon but due to the fact they were closed I found natural nails. I showed up about 30 minutes before they closed and they were extremely nice about it and didn't make me feel bad at all. The outside looks a little sketchy and you can't really tell it's there but the inside is very homey and gorgeous!! The have pedicure seats just for kids and adults and a great space. I had three nail techs doing my nails for 2.5 hours because they couldn't get the dip powder right, and they used an electric file on my cuticles which caused me to leave with bleeding cuticles. There was no lotion or scrub, and they still expected me to pay $35. I'm honestly dumbfounded that this place is still open. Please skip it! My third time to this location, this time for a dip powder manicure before my graduation and I'm extremely unhappy. While the staff remained friendly and the color choices are great, all my nails are filed unevenly, one side being curved and one being straight, and she did not even get the color on the whole nail. While I can fix the nail shape myself I shouldn't have to and it is really disappointing. I will never be back here to get a manicure. Today was the last time I'll go to Natural Nails. Over the course of the last year, I've had a raw spot scrubbed into the side of my foot due to an overzealous pedi, and a french manicure where the white tips sloped down from the one side of the nail to the other (instead of arching across the tip like a natural fingernail.) The final straw was today. I went in for an eyebrow wax and left with wax dried across my nose and IN MY HAIR. The woman didn't even say anything about the chunk of wax she stuck in my hair...I had to discover it myself once I got home. Their work is sloppy at best. I loved the women that worked here. I never get my nails done due to biting my nails non-stop, but in 2016, I'm determined to kill the habit so I went in to get nexgen or "dip nails" The lady that did my nails was so sweet and I haven't experienced customer service as amazing as theirs anywhere else. When she finished my nails and they went to dry, for whatever reason, they kept streaking and messing up (maybe the fan was too powerful or the left over powders from my hand were getting on my nails) -- she fixed all of them and made sure I left with perfect nails. I was in a huge hurry and I came with friends who were waiting on me so another woman helped her. They were both fixing my nails at the same time! When I showed even a smidge of frustration about being there for so long, they made me laugh and remained positive. She massaged the hand that was done too. Before I left she gave me a huge hug. I went and got my nails done yesterday. It was a beautiful place and everyone seemed friendly. So far so good. Well, I wanted a certain color, they didn't have it, if they did, it was empty. Went through like 4 or so colors before I found one I liked. Everything was fine until I got to the acrylic application. My fakes are smaller than my actual nail, so I have gaps all over. From fake to my cuticle and fake to my little skin hump on the side. I even pointed it out to her. It's not like one or two nails that have gaps, each one does. On top of that. They are all square, not like smooth square, sharp square. I have a toddler. I cannot have sharp nails. They aren't even either. I want to file them myself, but am scared imma mess it up. But it's HORRIBLY uneven. Then the paint job. I got dots. Idk how you mess that up. It's not consistent on each side and isn't a perfect circle on some spots. It's like she gave up. After it all. I went to the dryer thing. Piece of long hair ended up falling on my left hand nails and messed up my paint job. I was upset. I liked them when I left, but I started to really look at them, and I'm super disappointed. I could do a better job. I will not be coming back. read more

I just moved here from the west coast and this place came highly recommended. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. I know they aren't perfect but I expect to walk out feeling confident with my nails. I got a gel manicure and it's the worst one I've seen in a while. He did not file my nails evenly and at the end of my manicure forgot to put a top coat on before spraying alcohol on my right hand which caused a lot of the polish to either come off or smear. I told him he forgot and he quickly added a coat but then forgot to do the same thing with the left hand. When I mentioned I needed a top coat he claimed he already did it. If he had simply said "whoops!" and fixed it I would have been okay but he just ignored me. Plus he never fixed my right hand so now my color is uneven and full of lines. At the end of my appointment he couldn't get rid of me fast enough. I will never go back to this place. I would definitely go somewhere else or at least recommend a girl technician. read more

Went for a mani-pedi. The woman used an electric file on my nails and cuticles even when I asked her not to. Said it was easier and faster. I'm not the type to argue or demand anything, so I didn't say anything, but she went on to destroy my nail beds and 6 of my fingers were bleeding from over filing my cuticles. I asked for baby pink shellac but she pushed me to try powder. I told her I'd never tried it before so I'd prefer shellac, but again, she kept pushing it and it's my own fault for not pushing back, so I told her I'd try it. She ended up having to use about 10 coats and my nails were so thick and hideous, but at this point, I'd been here for a ridiculously long time and had to leave. My hands looked so ugly and it hurt to wash them from all the places she made me bleed. I told some people about what happened and they told me I needed to go back and have them fix it. I had paid $75 for the mani pedi and if I wasn't happy, I should go back. So I called the place and told them everything and they said to come in the next morning and fix it for me. The owner was much more gentle and there was no doubt in my mind he saw how bad my nails looked and every spot that I was bleeding. He gave me a much better manicure, but fast forward to when he finishes, he said "I'll only charge you $20 for the color change and nothing for the removal..." so I basically paid $95 (and I tip 20%) for the worst manicure I've ever had. In hindsight, I realize I probably should have refused to pay the $20, but as you can tell from the rest of the story, I'm basically a pushover. Never going back, though. You shouldn't either. Try Laquer instead. read more
