Small ass cup of coffee compared to a plushie

Worst ever, the coffee is soo small yet very expensive for the size, I asked for two club sandwiches and they're pre packaged and tastes like it's been there for a long time, lady at the front was rude and was rushing me, the sandwiches were basically 90% bread and 10% ham and cheese, line so long they'll definitely be regretting spending there money here

Storefront

I got a bland, overpriced breakfast wrap there when I was sitting in the SJU airport. They also have pre-made sandwiches and a variety of muffins. I would try it again, but was not impressed by my first visit, and am irritated by the high prices.

The first part of the lounge we sat in was pretty warm, and we discovered the rest of the areas were pretty cool. We were near the room with a TV, and could feel cold air coming from that room. We found other seats after a while where it was much cooler. It was pretty busy the entire visit, and they seemed to keep the food relatively stocked. The "bar" area is self serve, which I like. The choices were limited to a few types of wine, hard liquors and most standard mixers. I didn't see the beer choices but I did see someone drinking one. The food choices were ok. We had swiss & red pesto finger sandwiches, pound cake and carnitas with rice. My favorite item was the espresso/coffee machine, and I enjoyed 2 beverages there. The main large seating area has a picture window looking out to the runway, and the plastic chairs there did not look comfortable at all. A smaller room has large seats that are more conducive to napping, and these were fine to sit in for over an hour. They also have a quiet room for sleeping, and a kids' room. Employees were always visible picking up dishware, and the restroom was clean but one stall had a broken lock. I would come here again if I ever return to the island.

Snacks are offered - peanuts, cheese fruit, cereals - breakfast time. There is a bar with liquor and self serve refrigerator with beer, soft drinks and water. There is also wine. And there is a coffee, tea, hot chocolate machine. The gals working the front desk are extremely nice. Several workers were continuously cleaning the already clean tables and seating areas. I am always happy to sit here before my flights rather than in the boarding areas of the airport.

Salad and toppings that looked like they've been sitting out forever, a coffee section with very limited options. The sitting area sucked too. It was packed l. There wasn't much an hour wait with a huge line just to get in after we arrived. People were sitting on the floor because all the tables and couches were taken. Mini sandwiches with sad droopy melted cheese from the warmth of the room. Some sort of salty soup, lukewarm coleslaw. Nothing edible. Luckily they have a QR code where we could order some warm food. The menu never changes for this. Always arroz con candles, steamed frozen veggies from a bag, and tough chewy pork pieces claiming to be pernil. Oh they also have penne with Alfredo or penne with marinara. Sometimes the microwave doesn't work so they don't serve the food leaving u to wait in the extremely long lines outside to order fast food from the terminal. I will say a huge perk of this lounge is the booze. Endless Medalla lights make us happy campers as we kill some time.

When we came (2/1/26) the lounge was under construction and the bathroom was closed, so going to the bathroom meant going downstairs out to the terminal areas. The food selection was lackluster. Bowls of salads sitting out at room temperature, one container of soup, some pre made sandwiches and a few cakes over by the coffee table. For ladies - it's also worth noting that their women's restroom had a huge gap of around 2-3 inches between the wall and the door offering next to no privacy while you are in the stall. I would recommend just waiting to use the restroom in the terminal. This lounge might be fine to have an a complimentary alcoholic beverage with your priority pass membership, however pretty unenjoyable beyond that.

We luckily did not have to wait at all and were able to bring a guest. There is a small bar with no cocktail or drink menu but a decent selection of liquor and wines to choose from to craft your own cocktail. Again, the real issue here that knocked this down to three stars for me was the humidity. There are two industrial sized dehumidifiers/air conditioners which are appreciated but they are eyesores and don't eliminate the damp odor. I do like the look of this lounge with the attempts to mimic the iconic style of Old San Juan, I wish it was unblemished.

At first, the food was pretty okay. I got waited on and served relatively quickly. However, my darker skinned friends had to wait a longer time not just to order, but also to get their food. One of my darker skinned friends ordered three empanadas and only received two. When she tried to speak to one of the servers about getting her third empanada they refused. She said she was willing to pay for it, but they refused to serve her what she asked. Then, they said there's always a problem with "you people". Then all of a sudden they lied and said she was trying to scam them. As we're walking out, they start cursing at us and saying things like " I hope everyone except you (referring to my darker skinned friend) has a good day". The servers were overall very disrespectful, they cursed, and they were overly unprofessional. So even though the food was okay this was a horrible experience. As we were leaving, we saw two other darker skinned black women walk up to try and order. We told them about our experience and the servers started lying and saying that we are there every day and always causing problems. This was also untrue. That was the first time we've ever been to this restaurant. We walked a block down the street to wait for our car service. Then moments later, we bumped into the same dark skinned black women we saw earlier and they told us that their presence wasn't even acknowledged. So like I said even though the food was pretty okay. It wasn't good enough to be okay with the blatant colorism where it wasn't expected.

Chicken wings, pulled pork tacos, and the pork stuffed tostones are all yummy. There's an herby green sauce on them that is out of this world. Fresh and bright. Mojito was good, I'd steer clear of the margarita (seems like a mix is used). The OceanLab IPA was local and yummy.

I had seen the reviews on yelp, but had no idea that we were staying in the same building. We asked a bartender at a hotel bar about EDL and quickly discovered we had walked past it on our way out of the condo earlier that evening. Let me start by saying that this place doesn't get going until midnight, which is normal for people like us who are from Miami...for others the hours may be a little tough. The owner/bartender Freddie is as hospitable as can be. We were welcomed into the small old fashioned bar right away. There was a mix of locals and folks like us from the states, but everyone fit in. We happened to arrive shortly before midnight on 2/13, and Freddie's birthday was on 2/14. Some of his friends had brought balloons and a birthday cake which he shared with us. It was an awesome way to experience our first night in PR! We went again on that Saturday and there was a 'real' birthday celebration going on! The bar itself is like stepping into a time machine. Freddie has pictures of his friends on the walls from years past. There are old poker and gaming machines around and an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia. And this is before the karaoke starts! He has a great list and books in English and Spanish. We are NOT good singers, but the locals coming to EDL could rival the best singers at any karaoke bar you've been to. It can be a bit intimidating! The drinks are nothing fancy, just good solid classics and a small beer selection. If you're staying in Isla Verde I highly recommend spending a late night here. It is in a gated condo, so the security guard or a resident must let you in.
