I love that it is a low pressure environment, but still offering many options to add complexity if we choose. It allows us to set our own pace and be as rigid or lax in our training as we choose, or to give our pup extra challenges. We have a dog that needs to be constantly challenged, so we have done a combination of behavior classes and "fun" classes (agility/tricks) and all have been great experiences. If we say it's "time for school" our dog perks up and sprints for the door, so she clearly loves her time there!

At the time of my visit, another animal came in needing emergency care. They offered to reschedule us or I could wait in the lobby while they did their exams in the back since "our" exam room was needed. I opted to stay and wait. The dr herself and all of the staff apologized to me profusely for the disruptions even though they really didn't need to. These things happen and I never would have known there was a crisis if no one told me. It was that well handled. They also offered a discount on our visit because of it, which again was above and beyond. The care plan for my dog is reasonable and was well explained to me. I was also given alternatives if I did not agree. Very happy this is the vet closest to my house.

We've always been treated well. I have a breed of dog that is difficult to groom, and Heather has always done an outstanding job. The reason I'm posting this is because some of the 1 star reviews (especially recently) are based on inadequate information and a rush to judgment without understanding or caring about mitigating circumstances. I want to fill in some information to address that. Animal grooming is a tough job, hard on the body: hands, arms, back, and feet wear down with repetitive injury, and the groomer may be in physical pain while working. The pain comes and goes, but the damage, especially to hands, arms, and back, is permanent. So being kind and tolerant might work more effectively for the customer rather than playing princess. I am only a customer, not a friend of the owner, but I have witnessed her health challenges while still keeping the shop as available as possible. It is a balancing act, and I admire her persistence in keeping the shop going. Be kind, or at least be curious and open to reason. My current dog loves Pet Spa; it's her happy place.

I said I wanted him "cleaned up" and wanted his hair shorter but not quite shaved. I guess this wasn't enough for her because she insisted that I tell her exactly what I wanted and saying cleaned up means "nothing to her". I showed her a picture of the last time he was groomed and she said "that tells me nothing". Every groomer I've used in the past helps me figure out the best cut, but she was not interested in helping me out at all. Sorry I'm not in the industry and don't know exactly what to ask for. I just felt like such a bother to her. He did end up looking great and it only took them about an hour but I am just too disappointed with how I was treated to go back.

She's so great at addressing each dog's needs both in daycare and boarding but even more so in training..We had a cranky senior Dachshund we never thought would be able to interact with other dogs or people, who eventually was able to go to daycare and even board during vacations. We currently have two Xolos, Mexican hairless dogs, who have both been with Michelle since they arrived. The older going through puppy classes and when she was older, she did a 2 week board and train with great results. Our younger pup, is on a year training plan, even getting the special experience of a training trip to California where he was exposed to so many new experiences helping him grow into a confident young man. Xolos are a special breed but not the easiest.With Michelle's guidance for both the pups and us, we're all working together to enjoy our life together to the fullest. I'm heartbroken that my childhood friend would allow her boyfriend to treat me this way. It was also made clear to me that they target older folks and rush them through the information, lying about the cost of training, so that they can get into their home and push the sales presentation on them. This business is not being run with integrity but relying on taking time and money from those in vulnerable situations.
