Also when I go to meetings with other military veterans I will say to never go to this store as they are rude and disrespectful. After multiple attempts of making this our local hardware store since we recently moved nearby, I don't think i can become a regular customer here. The service is completely awful. Everyone here i've dealt with is so rude. The lady at the front completely rude to us for no reason. Then, today I took my daughter to go look at the farm animals they have outside. There was another family there with their little kid. One of the employees drove up in his tractor, got off, and told us to get out in the most rude tone. It was an open area to see the animals and we weren't on the same side of the fence as the farm animals, but by the feed. If they don't want people in there then they should have their gates closed and a sign. In fact, i'm pretty sure we're allowed to be there but he was just so rude about having us exit so he can feed the animals. Horrible customer service. will never buy from their expensive store again. Pet food; buy ten of product, get one free. 10x17.99+tax= 193.00. By 10 of one product receive one free. However this did not occur. Deceptive business practice 100%. Very sad because my pets like to go in there and smell the treats, but we'll find another place to go after 20 years of doing business with this place. The owner's daughter is the manager? Wow if she treats people like she treated me on the phone today, they will be out of business in less than 2 years. This Managers melt down epic and a complete disaster when discussing my bill with her. She is disrespectful, over talks the customer doesn't listen goes on the defense immediately. I was overcharged on checkout by 10.00. I was also told the chicks were 1.99 on checkout and she charged me 3.99. They use deceptive business practices and it should be looked into by the Attorney General of Washington state consumer protection bureau. Poor customer service considering frequent buyer program they don't actually give you a bag "equal to what you have been buying" so after so 10 bags bought you find this out because just by chance if you have to buy another bag of dog food at lesser value completely different flavor of dog food completely different bag, they're going to give you the bag which costs the least. Love this store! We stopped in looking for a small galvanized trash can. Boy, we had no idea how big this place is! They have two floors. There are stairs and elevator access to the second floor. The employees are friendly and extremely helpful. They have anything and everything you can imagine here. It's a feed store, hardware store, nursey, etc. They also have many great gift giving items... homemade soaps, lotions, candles, metal signs, jewelry, handmade candies, etc. They also offer dog training classes! Poor apathetic service. New to neighborhood first time visit. Came to buy bungee cords and/or tie downs. Those are at hardware stores right? I walked around couldn't find them went up to front desk. Gabe looked at his computer said isle 23 ok great thanks. No bungee cords or tie downs on 23 went back to Gabe told him nothing there. He shrugged his shoulders and said sorry about that I guess we don't have them. These days if the computer says it that's the end all I guess? I can't imagine a big hardware store like this doesn't have bungee cords or tie down / ratchet straps ?!?! I appreciate the small local feel this place has, they're helpful and knowledgeable. I typically get cat food and gardening supplies here but we've also got fish food and horse riding supplies. I would give a zero if I could. Been coming here for 20 years! Service used to be good and products were less expensive here than anywhere else. Recently prices have gone up and customer service is near non existent. We were put on a list to get rid of one of our roosters that we actually got from here as a baby and didn't know it was a roo. Back in Torrance / Long Beach, finding anything related to livestock is a challenge at best unless you're lucky enough to live amongst the elite (looking at you RPV). I'd either have to pick up a bag of equine bedding (wood pellets) at The Wharf in Ventura when visiting Mom or drive to Midway City (close to the LBC but not to Torrance) to get a bag. You have your pick in the PNW. This one just happens to be close to Walnut Grove and I consider myself lucky since the stars here are high and my next pick would be the Tractor Supply all the way in Sandy. The service here is warm and friendly and the bags of pellets I need are the usual $8 plus tax and are sitting right outside near the entrance. We were within the last half hour of business hours, so I didn't have a chance to explore inside but based on how much I saw inside, I'm looking forward to it! read more

What a great find! Orchards Feed has a VERY LARGE garden center with lots of mature trees at very good prices, as well as a full hardware store with unexpected items such as gluten-free cookies. It has the feel of a great local general store. Service is very helpful and friendly, selection is wide, staff is plentiful, and selecting small hardware items such as fasteners is fast, easy, and painless as all they require is the quantity and price (three flat washers cost $.27). The sign on the outside of the store says they've been there since 1889, which is testament to how great they are. read more

I have been going Orchard Feed to have them repair all my small engine equipment because they are a Stihl dealer. My family has been shopping there for animal feeds for many decades so when they become a Stihl dealer, I thought it would be very convenient and very good to work with them. However, this just isn't the case. The last two times when I brought my small engines there, I waited and waited and waited for the items to be repair and the excuses I got were, "They sent the wrong parts from China." "I tried to call you, but I called the wrong number because it was written down incorrectly." "Oh, we are backed up due to the holidays." Finally, I have had enough of excuses from them I decided to take my business elsewhere. Ace Hardware in Battle Ground repaired my blower in two hours. That blower had been at Orchards Feed since November 21 and they couldn't fix it until today (3 weeks), but Ace fixed it in 2 hours. I will not go to the Stihl dealer at Orchards Feed anymore. read more

I walked in to get my guinea pigs some hay and when I went to the cat aisle to get my cat cat nip a worker came over and said if you guys are stealing we have security cameras and then he said that there have been other kids stealing them he called us poor so we just took the stuff to checkout and then a bodyguard came and and told us to get out when we were buying or stuff the we walked out empty handed and we still got changed. read more

This place is awesome! As an owner of a pig, typical pet stores have little to no livestock related items. Today I went for hoof trimmers since dog clippers no longer work, ended up exploring the store and while I didn't spend much time in the livestock section, I noticed they have a ton of horse supplies including tack - including fancy sequin blankets . Went downstairs and they have a large variety of dog & cat food and treats as well as bowls, beds and toys. This place is great and I'm glad there are so many other pet stores than horrible Petco. (Please refrain from shopping at any Petco's) Prices are comparable to Petco and PetSmart so you should support local businesses and check this place out. read more

Most of us remember the old barn that was originally the feed mill. But as all things, time has called and a remodel happened. THE difference is, instead of bulldozing the iconic structure, they built nextdoor to it. A new massive 2 story warehouse. It's very impressive. I went in last week to buy ducklings. Sold Out!! But I talked with Kelly and she said she would order me some if I got 5 or more, so I ordered 15. I walked out with 11 ducklings (4didnt make it) and the boy wanted 2 chicks....... (Don't we all). I was charged$8.99 per duck and $3 and some change for the chickens...... The main competition in town wants $13 per duck/chic!!!!! Wow. I had a extra $50 to spend I needed a replacement O ring for my automatic waterers, THEY HAD THEM IN STOCK!! And only $4..I got cedar shavings, a extra heat bulb and a bag of food. They may have just earned 100% of my business.... Great service and at a great value. read more

Definitely one of my favorite places to go for basic hardware needs. And once in a while we'll grab some treats for our pets. Basically, they're you're average hardware store (as far as selection goes) but every single employee I've talked to WANTS to help. And they'll help you until they complete the task at hand. I've never had a bad experience in terms of customer service, extra help, etc. I feel like when you go to the Lowe's and Home Depot nearby, whenever you DON'T need help, every employee asks if you need anything at least twice, but when you DO need help, it's like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Long story short, it's a small business owned and operated for a long time, but their prices are pretty darn good for not being a chain, and the customer service is ALWAYS great. read more

I have been in and out of buying my pet products here, I had recently started going to wilco for my dog food, I had a good experience. But today wilco burned me and I will never return. So I drove straight to the feed store only to be welcomed as usual by the helpful employees. I realized that I've never had a bad experience here. Each employee has been helpful every time my german shepherd has a new allergy, or anytime I need medication for my border collie. Today they were just as helpful, and I will be purchasing all pet food for my two dogs and cat here from now on! Thank you orchard feed mill for turning my day around today. Never knew you could buy dog vaccinations at a feed store and for super cheap. I'm boarding my dogs next week and needed the bordetella/kennel cough vaccine. Both of them HATE the vet so I asked if I could just buy the vaccinations without an exam and administer at home since it's just nasal. They said no, but suggested orchards - said they can sell everything but rabies. Cute store with a good variety of pet supplies, horse tack, an extensive gardening section and even cute baby ducks and chickens in the back. Well organized, clean and staff was extremely nice helpful. It's a little out of the way for me, but I may start vaccinating at home to avoid the stress of hauling my monsters to the vet once/yr. Btw bordetella was $6/dose and super easy to administer - kit comes with a pipette to suck up the dilutant. Add to the vaccine, mix up and spray in your dogs nose from pipette. read more

Great variety, great store, great service! This store is jam packed with all kinds of animal-related food, toys, and equipment. We headed in here to pick-up vaccines for our new kittens. They had exactly what we needed for an exceptionally reasonable price. The vaccine is refrigerated, so bring a cooler or head straight home. This particular vaccine required mixing the sterile fluid with the powder and then, injecting it under the skin below the elbow. It all went very smoothly. It was easy! The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back to explore their other offerings. read more

Love these guys! I get all sorts of things here. Dog food, wood pellets that I use for cat litter, vaccines for the animals, landscaping stones and all sorts of fun little things. They have great prices on dog food, they have a great variety of stuff in a small space including interesting things that you don't see other places and they have great clearance sales regularly. I LOVE this place! We have two cats and a dog and there isn't anything I can't get here. We use a premium dog & cat food and they always have it in stock. Recently we had to change our older cat to a senior blend that they didn't carry and they were more than happy to bring it in for us. We usually take our dog in with us. She's a little people shy but the employees here always have a treat and a pet for her. She now actually looks for them behind the counter!
