Shady Shoppe. I…read moreordered a bunch of items which were supposed to ship soon. A couple of weeks after the projected arrival date, I called to check on my order. I was told the shipping department was not there but I would get a call back. They never called back. I emailed and never heard from them. About a month after I placed my order I submitted a dispute with my bank. They issued a temporary credit. Then, I received part of my order a few days later, NOT the whole thing. I just got a note from my bank saying the merchant said they did send me the order, so I am now being charged for the full amount. Years ago, this place used to be great. Not anymore.

The Shopping Experience I originally had my eye on the garlic butter, but it was a bit too pricey. I was also really hoping to try some garlic ice cream, but they didn't seem to sell it here. I ended up grabbing some chocolate-covered nuts and a trail mix instead. The service in the store was disappointing. I wasn't acknowledged at all while browsing, and no one offered to help. To make matters worse, it seemed like there wasn't a restroom available for customers, which isn't ideal when you're stopping during a long drive. The BBQ Vendor I decided to grab some food from the vendor outside. The lady working the stand was incredibly kind and friendly--easily the best part of the stop! However, the food was a bit hit-or-miss: Garlic Bread: This was very good. Beans: These were just okay. BBQ: I didn't like it much. I might be spoiled by Southern BBQ, but this just didn't hit the mark for me. Pro Tip: Be careful getting back onto the freeway; the turn-off and merge can be a little tricky! Overall, between the lack of service, missing facilities, and high prices, I likely won't be making this a regular stop. my first time

They came very highly recommended, but I was nervous as this was our first time using them. Angela instantly put me at ease with her thoroughness and attention to detail. From start to finish she was super easy to communicate with both via phone and text . She took the time to ask questions and understand my vision for the party and worked with me to make it happen. She was even able to provide me with contacts for certain items I was looking for and couldn't find. She stopped by prior to the event for a walk through to see the location and ensure set up logistics and anything I hadn't thought about. Day of Angela and her Husband and the Califass Street Taquiza Team arrived early and quickly set up and transformed the catering area into a beautiful buffet. Her Staff was super friendly and professional. I received numerous compliments from my guests not only for the great tasting tacos, food, and aqua frescas but for how beautiful their set up was. I was actually able to sit down and enjoy my event confidently knowing that everything was taken care of. By the end of my event Angela felt more like a Family Member whom I've known for years. Looking forward to working with her again and I encourage anyone looking for a caterer or taquiza to hire her as she does it all in a one stop shop.

Stumbled upon this place while getting coffee and was surprised they were open early!…read more They have so many cookies to choose from. Brownies to lemon bars to ice cream and whatever cookie flavor you want. I tried out their brownies and so delicious ! Even better warmed up. Also got the peanut butter cookie which was ok needs more peanut butter flavor tasted more like a butter cookie. Their snickerdoodle and regular chocolate chip cookie were good!! The wife has a co-worker that told her about this place. It's a bit hard to find as the address…read moresays it's on 10th street but is actually way to the back side of a shopping center on 10th behind a pizza place. Looks like they bake their cookies fresh on site, but I'm not sure who makes their ice cream. When we walked in a gentleman told us they had cinnamon rolls as well. So basically you can order cookies or ice cream or combine the 2 into an ice cream sandwich. So I decided on 1 Red Velvet cookie and one Chocolate Chip cookie with Cookies and Cream ice cream since they were out of Cookie Dough, (the absolute best ice cream flavor in the world). I believe the cookies run about $4 each and if you get an ice cream sandwich, that runs about $8. The cookies are a decent size and the scoop of ice cream I received was generous. So much so that it makes trying to take a bite of the sandwich practically impossible. You pretty much have to come at it from the side or just bite one side of the sandwich at a time. But the cookies were soft, sweet and tasty and the ice cream was pretty good too. The quality was good but I did think the pricing was a little high though.
