I had been ordering wigs online for a while, but I wanted a change -- especially when you're investing in real hair, you really need to see it in person and try it on before spending that kind of money. I had looked at a few other stores before, but hadn't had any luck. Beauty and Beyond wasn't far from me, so I decided to give it a try. Right away, I was impressed -- the store is huge, incredibly clean, and has an amazing assortment of lace wigs. I'll be honest, I was hoping to work with a woman, but then Khalifa stepped in to help me, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was so patient and kind -- he told me to take my time, and when I asked how many wigs I could try on, he said three. He never made me feel rushed or pressured, not even for a single moment. I selected three to try, and honestly? The very first one was perfect. I tried all three just to be sure, but the first one was the one. Khalifa was genuine in his feedback -- when he said it looked great, it felt real, not like a sales pitch. While I was there, another customer came in who had purchased from the store before and was back for more -- she said her hair always gets compliments. That meant a lot to hear! The wig I purchased was 100% Remy human hair, and yes, it was an investment -- but absolutely worth every penny. That same evening I wore my new hair to a birthday party and got so many compliments! Then the next day at another event, people who know me well came up and said, "Did you cut your hair? You look amazing!" Nobody realized it wasn't my own hair -- they all thought it was! And best of all -- I feel absolutely fantastic. Huge kudos to Beauty and Beyond and especially to Khalifa -- thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. I will absolutely be back!

I wish they carried some of the online brands like Outre, Freetress, Mo-Town Tress, or Naturli, but they do actually have a good selection of items. The workers here are not pushy and I appreciate that. At some stores like this, they follow you around or are aggressive with their suggestions. Here, they let you walk around freely and unbothered, but will offer assistance when you need it. They have a decent makeup selection. I get my LA Girl concealers from here. I love LA Girl products because they are brown girl friendly. They also carry NYX products so if Ulta doesn't have what I need, I try here and they is usually will have for a comparable price. Overall, I recommend their store.

My co-worker told me about Natural Roots Beauty Supply so I went had to patronize the business. This business in the shopping plaza near the Walmart in Bessemer. It's very easy to find. When I went into the store, I was greeted right away. I wasn't asked if I needed help finding anything. Maybe the employee wanted to give me time to look around, but I think it's important to ask customers, especially if you're not busy, if they need assistance. Anyhow, I found the hair products I was looking for easily. The store has a lot of natural hair products, which is a plus for me. Also, there was a sale going on so I received 15% off the products. I had to remind the employee about the sale, but she quickly apologized and adjusted my total to include the discount. The store was not cluttered and very organized. From signs I saw, it seems they regularly have sales and promotions. I don't think they are finished with adding things to the store because the back of the store was kind of sparse.
