I've been coming here for years but for some reason never took the time to leave a review - my mistake because I never leave here unsatisfied. When you enter, the ambience is so conducive to relaxation that you're immediately hit with a feeling of calm. I came in for a 60 min session with Linda today and she gave me a truly unbelievable massage. I've had a stiff neck for about a week now and was miserable over the weekend. She personalized the session to my requests - emphasis on the pain in my shoulders/neck and some hot rocks. Even with the emphasis on my trouble spot, the massage was balanced well all throughout my body. She even asked if I'd like to have her walk on my back to which I will forever respond: hell YES. I am one of those fools who work out religiously and never take a day off of being active. I know this is dumb but mentally, I can't act in any other fashion. Unfortunately, this has resulted in horrible back pain, daily headaches, and limbs on the left side of my body going tingly and numb. I knew something was wrong. Before seeing a chiropractor or physical therapist; I thought I would start with a professional massage. Thanks to Yelp, I found Nature's Moon Spa. I was initially a little worried about Nature's Moon because there were some language barriers when I called for more information and when I called back to make an appointment; no one answered my 6 calls. They must have caller ID though because they called me back and an appointment (they recommend it) was made for the same day. Nature's Moon is located inside a plaza next to a hair salon and a Crossfit gym. Parking is VERY limited so go a few minutes earlier to find a street spot. Upon arrival, Nature's Moon seems somewhat cheap or sketchy but walk through the doors; and you walk into another world. The interior of Nature's Moon is a zen heaven. I was welcomed by low recessed lighting, Pier One-esque decorations of tingling fountains, exposed wood and stones, and plants. Nature's Moon is like a garden paradise meets an amazing interior decorator. Not what you expect in a plaza massage spot. The establishment is split into individual rooms off from the lobby and a bathroom (which is equally gorgeous). Don't expect this to be a place where you are given a robe in a locker room though: you declothe in the actual massage rooms. I was led to my room by Pam who was going to be my massage therapist. The room itself is very inviting and follows the spa theme without being cheesy (although it had some Jewish candles which were sort of odd). I was told to either get completely nude or leave underwear on, up to me. Once Pam returned when I was under the bed sheet; I mentioned to her my situation with my athletic aches and pains. Pam is a super hero because she simply looked at me and said, "You have knots. Here is one." as she pressed it and lo and behold -- it was indeed. It is like she saw through my skin! She explained that the best solution would be some initial stretches, then a massage, then working harder on the knots, etc. I trusted her instinct. So, how was the massage? Holy moly! This was the BEST massage ever! I have been to higher-end places but the massage quality here was much above the rest in terms of all the levels of care and degree during my hour of pampering. Pam begin with relaxing my muscles with hot towels and some stretches and rubs. She did some Cirque du Solei acrobatics on my back (at least that is what felt like) before working on the knots. Turns out I had insane knots and all the way up my neck and even arms which is rare. Pam was diligent about asking if I was okay or if I wanted her to stop (it hurt for sure) but I trusted her work. She told me that she broke down the knots but couldn't completely rid them in one session. I heard the popping of the knots and my back-- I sounded like microwave popcorn! The massage then proceeded into more relaxing rubbing, hot stones (which were a bit too hot but this was my first time having hot stones so I don't have a comparison), more knot work, and then stretches and neck rubs. Long story short, the massage is multifaceted, detailed, and amazing. After the massage, Nature's Moon provide a plate of complimentary Thai Coconut Butter cookie biscuits (I asked what they were), salted almonds, and green tea. Very calming and kind. In terms of payment, Nature's Moon has Happy Hour special ($40 before 2pm) and Yelp Check in discount of $14 off. Although they accept cash or credit; credit is charged a $2 fee. The price of an hour massage is $59 so my total was $45 + 2 after the discount and the credit fee. Nature's Moon also suggests at least a $10 tip. And honestly? The $10 tip is well-earned. So, what are the negatives? As mentioned, the parking situation is tough and there are language barriers. Plus, while in the massage room, I could hear talking in the front including in Thai. This didn't happen often but it still lowered the relaxation level of the massage. I also dislike when places charge a fee for credit/debit cards. However, these are pretty minor flaws. Overall, Nature's Moon Spa is pretty incredible. It is beautiful, calming, comfortable, and the massage is excellent even for those whose muscles are athletic and active daily like myself. I will definitely return to try to prevent screwing my back up as much as I already have. Nature's Moon is recommended for your massage needs. Don't put it off and be dumb like me! read more

I had a massage with my fried and we heard many good reviews about this place so we decided to go visit. When we came in it was very calm and peaceful with someone to greet us in. Me and my friend got a full body massage from two beautiful women named Maya and Meagan and it was only 1 hour long with them. From that one hour it was niceeeeee! They hit all the right spots in all the right areas I don't have one single complaint about it, I can't wait to come back again to get another one. 10/10 read more

I had booked massage for two people in the evening a week in advance. The night before someone called me to change my appointment time last minute and assured me the same two female masseuses would massage me. I was apprehensive but accommodated to their request. Keep in mind, I had moved around my schedule and came back from a trip early to ensure I could attend my appointment. I get a call the day of 2 hours before my appointment that the girls I had requested would not be doing my massage. Instead, it was one female masseuse named Mary that promised me that she would personally give me a great massage due to the inconvenience. I was upset but still accommodated to her request. Upon arrival, she then said that a male masseuse would help me and I was upset because she failed to mention that. She said that she can't personally massage me even though she assured me she would but failed to tell me on the phone of this important change as I prefer only females. Not only did I drive there for nothing but I didn't get a massage because she said I would have to come back but didn't give me a time until a female was available. I have been coming here for years and ultimately the service has been dwindling which is disappointing because I have enjoyed getting massages by some of the ladies there like Pam Lucky Penny and Tam. note: I am really giving this a 2.5 but leaning to a 3 because Tam and Pam are sweet and are still good. read more

This is a little hidden gem. I've gone twice now. Once for Thai massage that worked miracles on my tight hips and now for a Swedish. Both times the ladies were very courteous and professional. It's very quiet inside which I love. I'm able to relax and feel safe and the massages are worth it. Also they were able to take me in the same day which I really appreciate. I plan on going back for reflexology. The cost is affordable. It is a small place so if other clients are also there..& they don't know how loud their voice is.... I came here with my boyfriend and his best friend in December 2017 to enjoy a massage (my first ever) at Nature's Moon Spa. I was a little nervous, I had no clue what to expect, I wasn't sure about "strangers" touching me. I ordered a deep tissue / hot stone massage. The experience was invigorating, and really (trust me when I say) released a TON of muscle stress, tension and anxiety that I had been holding on to in my shoulders, legs and feet. I left SO relaxed, and LOVING the remaining scents of the lotions and oils used during the massage. The relaxation stayed with me for about a week after experiencing my massage. They are so nice and friendly and affordable. I got the Swedish massage today (which they squeezed me in within 10 minutes of me calling) and it was just what I needed. My bf surprised & pampered me on my bday by bringing me here! There are actually a lot of massage places closer to our place, but he researched one that would really help us out. My neck & shoulders were aching to the point where it felt painful to really move. And he knew I prefer very hard pressure in these trouble areas. So deep tissue massage it is! The 1st thing I noticed upon entering is the ambiance. Very homey & cozy. There seems to be about 4-5 rooms. We didn't really have to wait before we were allowed into the room, which was nicely dimmed with very soothing, peaceful music. This seems typical for a massage place, but believe it or not, some places my bf & I have been to lack these basic features. After we got into the massage beds, the masseuses greeted us with friendly smiles & low voices. Before starting, my masseuse asked me what areas to focus on & what kind of pressure I want. Of course, I opted for hard because I thought I can handle it. I'm fine when it comes to my upper body, but wow, did it hurt when she was massaging my lower body! I actually didn't even know that they walk on your body til a few moments later when I realize how much pressure she was using, & heard some metallic resonance sound coming from the ceiling (I assumed there were bars on the ceiling to help them stabilize. I looked up after the massage, & yep, I was right!). My masseuse even commented on how strong I was. Probably not a lot of people can handle that pressure, but I was thinking, "No, girl! You're strong! :O" Never once did she go softly, kneading me with no intent, so come here if you really want your knots out! The massage I got isn't exactly for those who just want to feel pure relaxation since it will hurt, in a good way! However, they did use hot stones towards the end with some massage oil, & that was super relaxing. I didn't realize how cold my feet were till she wiped my feet with a hot towel. I should have told her to go lightly when she was doing my legs since I'm not used to being massaged there, but I just held through the pain. I kept telling myself that it would be worth it once she's done. And it was! Every time she moved to another area, the previous area felt so relieved from tension. She really did release a lot of tension from my lower body. I didn't think I really needed any work on the lower side, but I felt like I was walking on clouds afterward. My upper body still needs work, but it's not any fault of the masseuse. I just get really bad upper back pain, so I would probably need to go more than once to feel no pain there. Totally a good reason to return ;D! What I really appreciate that there is so little noise. Unfortunately, the walls are pretty thin, so we did hear some sounds, but it was only for short while. The volume of the music was just perfect. A previous place we went to had it very low, so we heard a lot of other unpleasant noises. The only con is that I don't feel the need for some of the areas they massage, like my butt. That part of the massage just really hurt, & personally had no benefits for me. Afterward, they have biscuits, almonds, & tea for you! This was an unexpected little surprise. I also appreciate they that didn't rush us out, telling us to take our time. The masseuses from other place brought us tea while we were still in our room, & stayed in there, which made us feel rushed & uncomfortable since they were expecting their tips. The way we see the owner/receptionist interact with other customers showed us how friendly she is. As we left, she thanked & bowed to us. Excellent service from all staff! read more

Was able to do a walk in appointment and settled into a nice, clean room right away. Do note that there is construction going on next door, so I did hear some pounding on the walls. I am not detracting from the review for the noise, as that is out of the control of the spa. Person walked in, asked for firmness level. I love to be brutalized, and she worked it. This was definitely an odd experience. I was not satisfied with my massage at all. My husband and I went for a couples massage. When we walked in it smelled weird (some sort of food). The furniture and decorations were very dated. We were put in a very tiny room. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I got the hot stone massage which was not very good at all. The masseuse was on the bed with me, straddling my legs while she massages my back side (very odd) I could relax throughout the massage. Also, they had poles on the ceiling so they could hold on to them while they walked on my husbands back and neck. I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. This was easily the worst massage I have ever gotten and I am very easy to please with massages - any amount of light pressure and I'm a happy camper. But that was far from attained. First let start by saying I asked for a deep tissue and not a hot stone massage because they tend to burn my skin and I still got hot stones and definitely not deep tissue. I laid on the table for 10-15 minutes waiting for the masseuse to come in. She asked if I wanted medium or hard pressure and I said hard especially my shoulders. As soon as she started I could tell something was off. Her finger and hand movements were frantic and rapid across my skin with almost no pressure, leaving multiple scratch marks in some areas from her nails. It felt like a teenage boy frantically trying to get himself off. So did the COPIOUS amount of oil she put on me. The bottle was haphazardly slung between by legs but not after roughly pulling my underwear (which they had told me to leave on) all the way down to around my thighs and leaving them there. My entire butt (left to right up and down) was exposed multiple times which is just unprofessional. So much oil was being used I could feel it dripping off me. There was no rhythm or pattern to the massage. A little leg. A little back. Some neck. Some shoulder. More leg. Butt. Stomach?? My arms were moved to rest up over my head for some work and then left there the remainder of the massage so I could feel my fingers start tingling and getting cold. When she went to massage my head she literally just was scratching it. The entire time I was both wanting it to end and hoping it would still somehow help. But alas even the crick in my neck is still raging triumphantly. I will never come back here. Thank goodness it was a Groupon but they should be ashamed.
