Meant to do this review for a while. Ming was so wonderful and gave me a nice intense massage that wasn't painful but really got into my muscles. Felt amazing afterwards. The only downfall is that yes the walls are thin. There was a guy in the lobby area trying to get a date with one of the girls but after a minute or two she poked her head out and had them stfu which I really appreciated. Great place! OI bought a Groupon for 2 massages for $60 or something like that. Best chance I ever took! I would never have found this place otherwise. Massages - 5 stars The massages here are really good. I mean really good. Ambiance - 3.5 stars. You can miss the place very easily its close to the corner of a tiny strip mallish/ office building.The signs are unassuming Once you walk in though you're definitely in a tranquil day spa. The rooms are all right off of the sitting area separated with a full door and curtains. The only problem is that the doors are glass panes and even though the pull the curtain, sometimes its not pulled enough and I can see the sitting area from inside the room. Not a big deal while you're on the table, but kind of weird to be able to see people sitting there while you get undressed. Service - 4.5 stars. It sometimes feels a little mom and pop. Everyone is super nice and friendly, but sometimes it feels a little less professional. With that said, the massages are amazing and they give you hot tea, biscuits and almonds afterwards. 4.5 stars! This would have been perfect but the hot towels were scalding hot- I thought I was going to have 1st degree burns. Otherwise, this place is great. My massage was very thorough and the staff here is super nice. Parking can be a bit difficult in the small shopping center lot- I think each business is only alotted a few spots so I ended up parking across the street. There is a max of 2hrs of free parking from 8am-6pm. They have a bunch of specials like their happy hour posted on the door so take advantage, this is money well spent! read more

You know it's bad when halfway through a massage, instead of feeling relaxed and like you're resting on a bed of fluffy clouds, all you can think of is what you're going to write on your yelp review to try to save people the $50 that you just wasted. So let me try to save you some money and teach you how to get the Natures Moon spa experience at home. Step 1: Get oil. A liter should do, but you may want more. Step 2: Apply oil liberally to your entire body. Step 3: Rub said oil semi-vigorously in a repetitive circular or up and down motion for an hour. Step 4: Towel off, but make sure to leave your feet and toes covered in oil for the most authentic experience possible. If you're like me, and you expect some pressure, any attention to tightness or sore spots, or someone who knows how to help work knots out of your back, this is not where you want to go. Also worth noting is that I called this place and specifically asked if they could give my very pregnant wife a foot massage, which they assured me they could. When we got there, they were very confused by the request for a foot massage only and didn't have an easy way to accommodate her in a comfortable position. The big red flag for me was when they asked her to lie on her back, which is a no no for prenatal massage. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I literally wrote this in the car in the parking lot when I walked out. I hate to crap on anyone's business, especially because the people there were very friendly, but they really didn't seem to know what they were doing at all. Absolutely love coming here and I don't know why I don't come here more often. They have a great special that runs during the week if you're available for that. I recently came back from a long vacation, long flight, and long car ride back home, and desperately needed to relax my muscles. This is the real deal Thai massage place. If you've ever been to Thailand then you know the difference between what tends to pass off as Thai massage in LA and what the real stuff is like - these gals are chill and truly know what they are doing. Prices are already reasonable but if you go early in the day, they have a special that runs before noon. I have to say, I had one of the BEST experiences recently at Nature's Moon Spa. The staff is soo sweet. I was a bit late for my massage, but they were kind enough to still let me have my full hour. My masseuse/MT just knew what I needed and was so good with finding all my sore spots/ my muscle knots and working on them...It was AMAZING. She stretched me out, used the stones, and did a better job at cracking me back than my previous Chiropracters had. After my massage I got some really yummy cookies, almonds, and green tea...which was just the cherry on top of my great experience. My back was injured by this massage... It started out fun... and then she asked me "Do you like pain?" "Um..." "I'm going to bring you Kleenex in case you cry! I'm going to beat you up" "No, I can take it." She massaged me by kneeling into my spine and cracking my back multiple times. The cracks initially felt good... then later, after the massage, my spine started hurting... It has now been about 6 months since I had the massage and my back is still hurt. I started going to a chiropractor for the pain, who said the woman who gave me a massage here might have given me a bone bruise. If it doesn't get better soon, I'll need to X-Ray for a fracture. We arrived at 10 exactly for our appointments. The owner greeted us very kindly and was so humble. She guided us to our rooms and told us to strip down to our undies and get under the covers. The room's lighting was perfect ambient, not too dark not too light. And it wasn't overly incense-y either because sometimes that can be a bother. They were very professional the whole time. Asking me if the pressure was just right or too strong. I think I got the owner lady. She worked a lot on my shoulders and upper body. Guess I was tense up there. She worked on the rest of my body very professionally and efficient. The whole time I was relaxed and never felt like it was rushed. The hot stones were really nice. It was my first time experiencing a Thai massage with hot stones. Really great. The whole experience was wonderful. So good! Clean, calming rooms and kind women taking care of you. Had the Reflexology the first visit, and it was as though I was being worshiped in a ritual. I felt like a king. Then went back for the Thai massage (my first one). Asked if I wanted gentle, medium, or hard pressure. I chose hard, and she made great use of those poles on the ceiling and climbed all over me. It was fantastic. It opened up parts of my I had no idea were in need of help. I am a martial artist and am extremely flexible, but they still pushed me past what I thought I was capable of handling. To the people who gave it bad reviews and said it hurt and they did a bad job, you just need to breathe deeper and help them help you. We found this little gem only because we had a negative experience at Oriental Orchid Foot Massage across the street on Valentine's Day. Based on the excellent reviews, last night my hubby and I decided to try a one hour deep-tissue massage -- and we were not disappointed. Keep in mind this is NOT a Chinese foot massage place. This is literally a mini-spa, with a very professional staff and a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. Of course the prices are higher, but the experience is worth it. After the massage, they served us tea, cookies, and almonds. Very nice touch. Hubby and I are already planning next visit. For an additional $10, I want to try their Thai herbal ball. Special herbs are wrapped in cotton and heated. They said it's like hot stones but better!! Recommend an appointment with Nancy and my massuese, Lucky (seriously). Imagine the feeling, when I found out I got Lucky!! :) Call Tan to make an appointment - ask her about 60 minutes for $45. They also offer 20% off massage and facial combos. Found this place on groupon today so I called for an appointment and they scheduled me right in. I Walked in and it was very peaceful. I got greeted nicely and was asked to fill out a simple piece of paper containing what kind of strength I like, stretching or no stretching Etc. I circled some places on the paper that I wanted her to focus on. She ended up basically massaging those two areas for 60 mins. The rest of my body hardly got any attention and my face, scalp, and feet didn't get massaged at all. The major thing I didn't like is that when you are done with your massage they sit you down with tea Infront of this sign that says something like gratuity chart. $10 with a small smile, $15 with a little bigger smile, $20 with a big smile and $20+ with a huge smile. So I basically felt like I had to give more then 10 dollar tip for a 40 dollar service or else I would have been a terrible person. Finally when I was done with my tea and crackers (which was very nice) I went to pay and I pulled out my debit card and the receptionist was like its $2 dollar charge and when I said ok that's fine. The massage therapist sighed like great now I'm going to get tipped on a card. Over all the price was good. Based on glowing Yelp reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a go. Thank you, Yelpers, for leading us to this lovely gem!! Nature's Moon Spa looks a bit sketchy from the outside. It is not one of those fancy schmancy hoity-toity high-end spas that charge you $$$ for a mediocre 1-hr massage and serve you a glass of water with lemon and cucumber slices. NMS is where you go when you need a solid massage but don't want to pay tons of money. They even have HH (10a-2p) for massages!! We were invited into a small dimly lit room with two massage tables placed side by side. You strip down to your skivvies, go under the cover facing down, and then get kneaded until you drool.... That's basically what I had initially anticipated, but what actually happened was even better! My massage therapist (or knot-killer lady) hopped on my back while I was lying down on the massage bed and went to town on my knots and kinks. Well, those sweet ladies have the strongest hands/fingers you wouldn't believe! When you ask for "firm", you do get firm, which I loved! I felt so much better afterwards. After a nice hour-long massage (or a knot-killing frenzy), they served us a cup of warm tea instead of water. This is the best and most economical massage experience I've ever had. FYI: They do charge $2 for credit cards, which did not bother me, but I think I'll bring cash next time. I so want to go back there right now! read more
