Working with John during the initial design process was much easier than with other companies. He respected our budget, while simultaneously helping us envision an amazing outdoor experience for our family. Throughout the project, Scott was redibly helpful in keeping us on track, as well as making recommendations to improve the process, pool, patio, and landscape. All of the workers were professional and highly skilled. Ultimately, we ended up with a gorgeous outdoor space that we use every day. We will continue to use Woodfield for projects and highly recommend them for others in the area looking for high-end pools, and patios.

Contracted with Oscar and Solid Brick Contracting in the summer of 2021 to install a large paver…read morepatio and retaining wall. Initially the worksmanship was good, however it quickly went downhill from there. First, even with 3D dimensioned drawings that I provided as well as explicit instruction, they left the retaining wall short by 8", resulting in added steps to get to the back doors. Oscar did admit fault, and raised the wall and grade an entire 8" to match the drawings. Fast forward a couple of months, the pavers started sinking along the retaining wall. I notified Oscar and they came to fix it a week or so later. After another 6 months, same issue in the same place. He addressed it once again and promised he fixed the problem. Another year later, the same issue in the same place. He once again promised me that this time would be the last as he would make 100% sure it was properly fixed. That fix lasted about a year before the depression started showing up again. Still haven't heard back from him. Don't do business with this guy. He takes your money, does shoddy work, and although initially made repairs, fails to follow through on his promises.

Dan is a creative, caring, and communicative business owner. His team, led by Seth, was an absolute pleasure to work with - they did a truly fantastic job and were so nice and helpful throughout. After they were done, we had a small issue with drainage (because right after they laid down the patio, there were torrential downpours for days, not allowing our pavers to settle). I'm not kidding when I say within five minutes of emailing Dan on a Friday evening to let him know, he called us to say he and Seth were coming over right away to take a look. Because of continued bad weather, they had to come back a few times over the next few weeks to make sure everything was good. Yes, they made our patio a little slice of heaven, but we were actually the most impressed with their post-project attentiveness and customer-focused desire to make everything right.
