We started Nature's Turf last fall. I think we have had 4 treatments or so. When we started in the Fall, our front yard was weed-free except for some pesky spurge along the driveway, and our backyard was covered about 1/3 with that invasive POA We had spent all last summer fighting it and hand digging it out. We researched the best way to eliminate it and learned using a specific type of pre-emergent (like Baricade or Dimension) is the best way. You can't buy those chemicals at Lowes/Home Depot and we didn't want to special order it and spend the winter applying it. So we called it Nature's Turf. Our neighbor across the street uses them and it was their tech who had told us what the weed was in our yard. We were very very very specific that the POA in the backyard was our #1 concern. We were assured they would be putting down pre-emergent chemicals to specifically target the POA. So Natures Turf started and we left them to it. We did notice the person they sent never ever spot treated (remember those pesky spurge weeds along the driveway?) -- his ticket always started he spot treated but I watched him every time he was here and he never did. Come the February Treatment (2/24) we notice the POA coming up everywhere in the backyard and see it is starting to creep into the front. And, there are now weeds in the front hard and along the front of the house at the street. I called to complain and I spoke with the Agronmist (sp) who told me they changed their formula for the pre-treatments this winter. They promised a service call in 10 days. So 10 days came and went and I called 3/6 and was told I was not on the schedule for a service call but they would get someone out. The guy came out on 3/14 when the temp was 30 degrees and spot sprayed with Negate 37WG for the POA in the backyard. The ticket also said he spotted treated in the front. Nope. I was home. No spot treatment in the front yard for pesky weeds along the driveway, street and front yard. On 3/28 we received a text from Nature's Turf they are planning a regular scheduled treatment the next day. We notice zero improvements in the health of the POA in the back and have the same weeds/same location in the front. We do note large areas of dormant grass in the back that looks like it has been injured. At this point we believe whatever they are using is ineffective on the POA/Weeds and potentially harmful to our dormant grass. Update: Nature's Turf Sent their Agronmist/Grass Expert to our house who was surprised at the amount of the POA in the backyard. There were a couple areas (very small) that looked a little yellow but we agreed this was likely from the below freezing cold temps/rain. He agreed the POA looked healthy. We talked about various options for getting rid of it if we took the project on ourselves and he suggested mixing two chemicals like Negate/Barricade together. He said Natures Turf would offer us a (1) Refund or (2) they would continue to try to work on the POA. I told him we would discuss and let them know - we were concerned if it was not properly addressed it would take over the front yard next. --- I called Natures Turf several days later and spoke to Cheryl. She informed me they had decided NOT to refund us because we have "too much POA". She refused to listen to the fact we were complaining the POA had not decreased any from their service and had almost doubled! She said our expectation is too high. She did not care we have the same weeds along the driveway and new front yard weeds after starting their service. She also told me she was denying the refund because we had used their service back in 2019 and had not been happy then. We had hired them in 2019 at another home to take care of newly laid zoysia sod that was having a hard time getting established. And she is right. We were not happy with their service and canceled. I don't recall any refund discussion. We just hired a different company (ABBEY) that did a terrific job for us. -- Not sure why the fact we gave them a second chance is pertinent read more

Local company that really treats us like neighbors. We have a few weed issues above and beyond some lawns, they have done service calls and extra treatments to take care of the dove weed (very noxious weed). The techs are excellent as are the front office staff and the agronomist. read more

We moved into our home 4 years ago- the yard was rough and we thought that we could treat it ourselves and make it look better...and for awhile we were able to. But every Spring, our yard would go right back into its terrible state and we just could not get it to stay green on a consistent basis, or do away with weeds. We finally decided to get professional help last Spring..Nature's Turf came out- assessed our yard- gave us a treatment plan- and within a little over a month, we noticed significant improvements. We were so impressed we continued with year round services and have been nothing but pleased with this company. My grass is beautiful: green and thick! I was skeptical about hiring any company but I am glad I took the leap.

They ruined my lawn. After constantly telling them their techs were not treating my entire yard, I had to let them go. My yard is full Of weeds after pre-emergers, supposedly weed control. Areas of my grass are dirt and weeds now. They refused to accept their techs were not spending the time to do it correctly after I witnessed it. The owner told me they were at my house for 45 minutes and this is how they know they are treating my lawn. I suppose sitting in the truck on the phone counts. Used them for a year and a half and our lawn looked no better than the neighbor's who had no weed control in place at all. I will say their VP replied quickly to a complaint I sent about our yard looking so bad which was good, but I didn't appreciate them assuming we would be their customer forever and continuing to bill us without our permission. read more

Services have always been responsive. If you have questions about treatment from the serviceman, he is usually able to answer it right on the spot or refers it to a supervisor and they will schedule someone else to come out and check out the problem. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. You keep paying every month and yet there are still weeds in your lawn. Their service is not satisfactory at all. There is portion of the lawn that they never treated (even though it was included in the original estimate). Each month you have to call and complain, then email photos of the weeds. They claim they will come out and retreat but never seems to help. I honestly believe that the Technician doesn't even put anything down most of the time. Don't use this service. read more

So glad I found Nature's Turf. I saw their truck in my neighborhood and called them. Cheryl who answered the phone was able to quickly tell me about the service and a price per treatment. It was about the same as we were paying with another company that had dropped the ball. We started about 6 months ago with Nature's. I wanted to wait and review the company until we could make a good judgement on how our lawn looked. Needless to say I'm giving them a 5 star since Nature's turned my lawn around. It seemed hopeless but after their pre-emergent treatments the weeds have stopped coming up and now the grass is really greening up. read more

Our lawn has never looked more lush and beautiful. Nature's Turf has been a lifesaver for our grass and does an extremely thorough job. I've literally seen other companies running across yards as they spray for weeds....not so with Nature's Turf. They are always careful to avoid flower beds and take their time to do this right. In fact, we recently had a large brown spot in our Bermuda where some construction dirt had been sitting for a while. When it came time for treatment, the technician spent extra time in that area and put special attention to get the growth restarted. In mid of the year, we discontinued their service for following reasons: Slow response time Poor technical support (not being able to explain reasons and process when their lawn-care service fails) Unprofessional attitude We had prepaid them for 12 months of service. Very dishonest company. Sprayed the side of my home and permanently stained house with the product. They would not take responsibility for they did and could care less. I do not recommend this company. They will ruin your property and do nothing fix the issue. read more

The owner personally called me after my review, and came out that day to talk through a custom lawn plan. I was impressed he took the time to call me, and he said "I'm sorry" about getting off on the wrong foot. Used to be a great nursery years ago, but I'd avoid these guys. They gave me a quote to treat gloomy scale on my maple trees. I just happened to be home during the 7th treatment and I asked the technician about it and he admitted they've never sprayed the trees a single time ("We can't spray trees above 15" tall" was his exact response.) The original estimate said they would be able to treat these trees. They charged me $65 for each of 7 treatments and never sprayed them a single time! read more

I've been using Nature's Turf for over 2 years now & must say my yard is weed-free. They have been consistent with treatments & as a result I really don't have weed issues. The only item is one time they treated my yard when there was actually frost on the ground & my grass was frozen. They came out to my home and looked at the property with me. I showed pictures of what I liked and explained I wanted a low-growing rock garden with at least three boulders. I had old plants I wanted removed. I discussed with the man what I wanted and what my maximum budget was. He told me they could do it, but I needed to give him $100 to draw up the plan and write the proposal. I gave him his $100. I didn't hear from them so I called over a week later. A little while later they emailed me a plan. The shrubs I was very specific about removing were left in the plan. There were no boulders included and the majority of the plants grew to 36" plus. The proposal was almost $100 over my budget and nothing was what I asked for. When I called to note this I was told the shrubs were so large they really didn't want to move them. The plants that were to be divided were taken off the list (too much work maybe?) and he had forgotten to write down boulders. Then he resent the plans which pretty much were just the boulders being drawn in where ever nothing else had been put. He said they would get back to me on the additional cost for the boulders. What additional cost? They were to have been included in the original quote! It's been two weeks and I haven't heard a word from them. The plans appeared to be made in a rush after I made the call asking where they were; there didn't seem to be any thought or planning, and nothing I asked for was included???????? Basically they took my money and did nothing for it. read more
