One star because zero stars are not an option. I was a customer for more than a decade until they completely changed! Service declined, prices increased, and the care for customers vanished! I canceled my service more than two months ago and I'm still waiting for them to pick up their garbage bin. I have called almost every week and keep being promised that it will be picked up the next week because they are "short staffed" and it goes on and on and on. Nauset Disposal has become seriously inconsistent with their scheduled pickups. My barrels are supposed to be picked up every other Friday and suddenly this has become a problem. What's even worse is that when you call them to report the missed pickup, they give you lip service but no action to remedy the situation. I've called them 3 times but my full barrels are still sitting at the end of my driveway going on 5 days now with no action taken by them to fix the situation. read more

Sadly what I hoped to be a long business relationship with Nauset ended today on a sour note. This past week they missed the pick up. We gave them a day and Saturday morning they still hadn't arrived. I made numerous calls to no avail. I even called Graham, the sales rep, and left a VM but no reply. I even reached out on social media and nothing. Monday morning someone called and said they had been out to pick up the trash and apologized. We contacted another vendor and they were able to provide us with reliable service at better pricing. I called Nauset and advised them to please remove their dumpsters on Friday March 31st. They agreed. This morning, the 29th, I'm in a meeting and got notification Nauset pulled the dumpsters this morning. I called up and asked them to please get them back to the property. 4 hours later I was told they weren't back. When I called again, I was transferred to numerous people, finally speaking with someone named Rich. I explained what happened and he said Graham, the sales rep, said to remove them early and he refused to return them, despite us being billed and pre-paid through March 31. They have gone downhill in a big way over the last few months. Fortunately for us the new vendor was able to get the replacements to us today, and we're thankful for that. We have been loyal customers of Nauset Disposal since 2011. It was a great business until it was sold to new owners. Since then, pickup times have been erratic, and this week is the fourth time in a few months they have not picked up our recycling. (Several customers on our street reported the same.) The barrel is already full and it's FOURTH OF JULY weekend. No response by ohone or chat. On hold for an hour and gave up. I am actively searching for a new trash pickup vendor...this was the final straw. read more

Used this service from 2019-2022 and thought they always over delivered in business. Incredible marks for their sense of urgency, attention to detail and customer mindset. Believe a ownership change took place then tried to schedule 2023 service and a disaster. Called and emailed numerous times. Never got a live voice of a return email or call. Great company when it was privately owned but now a horrendous mess. Cancelled out service on 01JUN23 and still receiving a bill. Called them 5 separate times only to be left on hold and the call dropped. Messaged them 7 times and no response. They also have not picked up their barrels. Their customer service had recently gone bad. Failure to pick up trash and the reschedule pickup was not done. Contact customer service and they give you the run around and blamed everything on their new system conversion. The owner promised me a refund a month ago and the customer rep told me the account was closed. When I called a month later, another rep told me the account is still open with no notes. The refund was not even processed. They can't possible stay in business with no one seem to know what is going on. Owner, please make things right with your customers and please hire some capable staff that know what they are doing. read more

They pick up the trash. which is great, but they no longer have a customer service department. Which is too bad because in previous years they were amazing to work with. I have a couple of houses with them and literally can't get anyone to pick up the phone to answer a question. I've called and stayed on hold for 45 minutes 8 times, I've emailed them, I've sent them FaceBook messenger questions, and I've commented on their Facebook posts asking how to make phone contact with them. read more

I have been having the same issues noted in so many of the reviews. I have been trying now for three weeks to get someone to answer the phone, return my call after leaving messages or even follow through on an online service ticket that I placed in the hopes they would actually come and pick up my trash and recycling. Now there is only a virtual assistant on the website - no humans work in the office anymore I guess - and says I am scheduled for trash and recycle pick up tomorrow. I am not holding my breath. What a shame as the prior ownership and customer service was awesome. I wasn't aware until now it had been sold, but understand why service is now non-existent. Used to be a great company. However, Recently sold. We were on winter hold with no service. We've been Unable to reach anyone by phone, email and now written mail; after multiple attempts over months. However, without any service to our location they continue to charge us and billed our credit card without authorization. Nauset Disposal was recommended to me because they're pretty much the only business in the Chatham area that could provide 30 yard dumpsters for a house clean out. They were professional and friendly. I did have to call them multiple times request to book a dumpster, because they didn't call back after saying they would. Not a huge deal, but then we hit major issues with their billing. I live out of state and couldn't be present for the house clean out, which I told them when I booked the dumpster. We also weren't sure whether we would need 1 or 2 dumpsters (or even more! It was a big old house full of junk that was being sold to settle a family estate). I received a notice that my card had been charged for a dumpster the day after pickup. I thought everything had gone smoothly. I called Nauset Disposal 6 days after they'd completed their service to confirm that I didn't owe for another dumpster and that the payment had been properly received and processed. I was assured by Kate that my account was settled and that there would not be any additional charges. I submitted the receipt to the estate for reimbursement. THE NEXT DAY NAUSET DISPOSAL CHARGED MY CARD AGAIN! I called back to inform them that I think my card must have been charged in error, as I'd just confirmed I had already paid for their services in full and submitted my final expenses for reimbursement. I spoke with Kristin, who both said she was "the boss" and also "not responsible for what Kate had told me." She assured me that it was wholly unreasonable for me to complain over being charged money they said they wouldn't charge me. Because she actually just hadn't processed the paperwork that Kate would have needed to see to know we owed money, so Kate had really done the right thing. She very reluctantly finally admitted that it was, perhaps, their mistake. I would have been fine with being told that the paperwork hadn't been processed, or that she needed to check with her boss, or that she couldn't be sure for a few more days. But that's NOT what I was told. I was told specifically that I would not be charged more money. I sent in the amount I had been charged for reimbursement (so I'm now only being reimbursed for about half the amount, guess I'm just stuck with that for their mistake). The owner, Dan, called back and left a message backing up his employees, as he also sees no problem with charging a customer money after you've confirmed that they don't owe you anything. If you have other options for your disposal needs, I'd look elsewhere. If Nauset Disposal is your only option, get everything in writing, and I would suggest refusing to give them your credit card number. Make them send an invoice for payment, then they'll have more reason to track your account balance and know what you owe them. Still be prepared for surprise bills (even ones they've specifically told you you won't get!). read more

Wish there was a ZERO star rating!! We have been customers of Nauset Disposal for 9 years. Always had the best service! Since they were sold and "got a new software system" things started to go down hill. But we stuck it out with them. Let me just say The drivers have always been wonderful!! We had automatic payments set up and never had a problem. So a few months back we didn't get charged. This occurred again the next month. I left several messages with them. Never received a call back. Then I received an email for the two month for DOUBLE bills. They were charging us for two properties when we only have one! Again I kept calling and calling. Finally after over an hour on hold I was told it would be taken care of. Update our payment info and thought it was all set. Next month normal billing. Few month later another email for the two month of double invoicing! Another hour on hold... and so on. Finally after MONTHS of this game I called and after over an hour on hold I cancelled my account. The next week I received an email that said my account was suspended due to past due payments!!! But still they are changing my credit card for a CLOSED account! Two month I have been charge for a account I don't have!! Absolutely bullshit at this point!! NO ONE will call me back! After experiencing terrible customer service from the owner of Nickerson Disposal I decided to end our relationship with them and my neighbor told me to consider Nauset. My neighbor had also moved away from Nickerson after having terrible experiences with the female owner of Nickerson Disposal. We switched to Nauset and I am glad we did! When you call the office, they are professional and they do what they say they are going to do. Your calls get returned, your emails are responded to and your trash gets picked up as scheduled. The team is very professional and I will also say that Nauset is a good neighbor. I rented a porta potty for a semi large party at my home. It was the most awesome porta potty ever! There was a solar light, flushable toilet, and a sink. It was white on the outside, and was clearly not the usual. Some of my guests preferred to use that rather than going into the house, and they loved it! We have had very good service for our weekly trash pick-up from Nauset Disposal. This is a local Cape company that actually answers their phone. They have been good about scheduling occasional pick-ups during the off season and reliable during the season. They are MUCH better than the big national company we had before. I requested a quote for a 20 yd container indicating I had renovation materials, cardboard, assorted items and a stove / refrigerator. I received a reasonable quote all went smoothly. When we finalized the bill they charged $100 additional for the appliances which I clearly and in writing had requested be removed I wouldn't use them again. read more

Nauset Disposal saved my day. We were in a crunch at our rental. I'd accidentally trimmed to winter trash service too early and our visitor was met with an overflowing container. It was late in the day when I discovered it and called Nauset Disposal. A very good natured and professional woman (Kristin) on the phone assured me they would do the best they could and she would call me back. The call back came very quickly, letting me know she had located a truck that was still picking up in our area and would reroute to take care of our location shortly.
