Without travel, dining out and still socially distancing from friends, my boyfriend and I decided a day paddle boarding out in the sun was exactly what we needed. We found a Groupon for Nautical Ventures that was on sale for $30 for two people to go paddle boarding for 3 hours- a price that could not be beat! We tried making reservations in advance and had trouble with the voucher code so we called over and Elaina on the phone assured us that the two guys at the outpost, Alexander and Xavier, would be able to assist, so we tried our luck and headed over in time for the 2 pm half day. The paddle boards were ready to go for us by the water, they gave us a quick suggestion on where to paddle out to near Phil Foster and Peanut Island and we were able to spend 3 hours relaxing, almost like a vacation from 2020. We definitely recommend this company and will definitely use them again!

Very knowledgeable. Helpful. Friendly service. NV is my go-to when I rent paddle equipment to go to Peanut Island for snorkeling.

They had seen better days, which only became an issue because small plastic pieces broke off a couple of the toys, which is a major choking hazard. Thankfully someone was around at all times to intervene, so nothing happened, but at nearly $50 for the week, id have expected things like that to have been inspected/removed We also received an inflatable toddler bed that didn't stay inflated - they sent a replacement, with excellent customer service, but I'd recommend checking as soon as you receive, as it left us without a toddler bed for two nights Bob stroller was fantastic! Highly recommend renting it :)

It took so much stress out of traveling with my one year old. We were able to fly with just the allotted carry on, back-pack and diaper bag. When we got to our hotel, everything was waiting for us in the room -- a pack and play (with a sheet), a tub of toys + a bag of beach toys, a sound machine, and a video and audio monitor. I cannot stress how great it was just having all that stuff waiting for us. For pick up, Christine texted with me to check when things would be at the front desk and was there waiting when everything was brought down. Again, so easy, so amazing!!

I just moved to South Florida from Connecticut and brought my kayak with me in hopes of seeing some wildlife. My boyfriend doesn't have a kayak of his own and suggested we book a rental with a tour guide to show us around - I am so glad we did! Misty and her super cute canine, Abu, were the most amazing tour guides ever. Before our arrival, Misty kept in contact with excellent communication. She provided quality rental equipment, and not only did we feel very safe the entire time, she is an expert at spotting wildlife. The Peanut Island paddle was suggested for us - we were so blessed to see an abundance of manatees floating under us, a stingray, a starfish so big I almost called the Guinness Book of World Records (haha only half-joking!) and plenty of beautiful birds, lizards and fish. The excursion took about two hours and we never felt rushed at all, although it was just the right amount of time before we started to get a little tired. Can't thank Salty Dog Paddle enough for this incredibly special and very memorable experience. Misty was even thoughtful enough to take photos and videos for us which she sent after - she really was the best part of this experience for us!! Highly recommended!!!

I loved that it offers so many activities in one place--kayaking, paddleboarding, the beach, picnic areas, a gift shop, and educational exhibits--all at very reasonable prices. Parking was only $5, and the kayak and paddleboard rentals were affordable too. Unfortunately, I happened to visit on a day with an extremely low tide. Paddleboard rentals were suspended, but kayak rentals were still available. The staff did warn us about the low tide and advised us to stay near the edges to avoid getting stuck. However, as someone new to kayaking, I didn't realize just how much the tide would impact the experience. For a large portion of our trip, the water was so shallow that our kayaks constantly got stuck. We had to repeatedly get out and drag them through the water. At times, the water wasn't even ankle deep. I completely understand that the staff can't control the tides, but I honestly wish kayak rentals had also been paused that day because the conditions made it difficult to really enjoy the experience. By the time we finished kayaking, we were exhausted and felt pretty gross from walking through the murky water, so we ended up skipping the beach altogether. Outside of that, the park itself looked lovely. There was a nice picnic area, a cute gift shop, and they even had a rescued sea turtle with a volunteer sharing information about sea turtle conservation, which was a really nice touch. There also appeared to be several educational exhibits throughout the park, although they happened to be closed during our visit. One downside was a pretty unpleasant smell near the gift shop, but I'm guessing that may have also been related to the unusually low tide. Despite my experience, I haven't written the park off. The photos I've seen online make it look absolutely beautiful, and I think we were just unlucky with the timing. I'd definitely consider coming back on a day with higher water levels to give it another chance. It sounds like a great park overall--I just recommend checking the tide conditions before planning to kayak or paddleboard so you can enjoy it at its best.
