Nate set me and my wife up with a tandem kayak. He gave excellent instructions and we needed them. The paddle to peanut island is not far, but it's not easy either. Be ready to take on the current. Recently excited about water activities, this company and riviera beach outlet for renting water toys is the perfect way to enjoy a half day on the water! Weather it's paddle boarding kayaking or other, their location is second to none. With easy parking access and even a better launch location prepare for a fast easy way to get on the water and have fun! Make sure to paddle around to the east side of peanut island for some R&R! Without travel, dining out and still socially distancing from friends, my boyfriend and I decided a day paddle boarding out in the sun was exactly what we needed. We found a Groupon for Nautical Ventures that was on sale for $30 for two people to go paddle boarding for 3 hours- a price that could not be beat! We tried making reservations in advance and had trouble with the voucher code so we called over and Elaina on the phone assured us that the two guys at the outpost, Alexander and Xavier, would be able to assist, so we tried our luck and headed over in time for the 2 pm half day. The paddle boards were ready to go for us by the water, they gave us a quick suggestion on where to paddle out to near Phil Foster and Peanut Island and we were able to spend 3 hours relaxing, almost like a vacation from 2020. We definitely recommend this company and will definitely use them again! read more

Renting paddle boards at Nautical Ventures was a breeze! We used a Groupon code to book a 3-hour paddle board rental, and making the reservation was seamless. The two men at the counter were very helpful, especially the young man with the tattoos. He helped us out with managing the paddle boards. The location is super close to Peanut Island and you can easily pack a bag of snacks on the board! Will definitely be going back soon! read more

I went to rent a kayak and I noticed the dude selling it was like just Zelle me and I'll stay open late. He was saying or slurring my boss don't need to know ? He called himself a captain??? I just wanted a kayak for my girlfriend and I... the blonde chick was drunk and slurring even drinking. My girlfriend said "do you work here?" She stood up and yelled noooooo I'm captains frank or mikes wife. So we did not rent kayaks. There was a spot that was closed near. So we went back the next morning Nautical was closed all day. I'm going to go leave a review on my experience with them. One taken for unprofessionalism asking to Zelle and won't tell the owner One taken for the lady who stood up like she wanted to fight holding beers glass beers. That also does not work there One taken for the captain who was chugging o really don't know what he was on too much energy. One taken as they drink there daily which I do not think that's professional when the neighbor kayak rentals are professional I would leave zero if possible for how they act when they are open. This was a really cool experience! I went out on a kayak with one of my boys and it was a whole lot of fun. The guy at the cash register was super nice and friendly. When we got back he was super courteous and patient as he was trying to lock up the life jackets and kayaks. I will definitely be back and I would recommend this to anyone! read more

Very strange / bizzare experience. I purchased a Groupon to go paddle boarding with some friends. The reservation was for 10am and in the confirmation email I received it said to arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation. We arrived promptly at the location they sent and Nautical Ventures was still closed. We waited.. and waited... Finally at about 10:15 I called to see if anyone would answer and a man answered and seemed puzzled that they were still closed. Finally at like 10:20 someone came and helped us. I asked since they arrived late if we could extend our time a little and his response was that we could pay $20 to extend for the full day so I handed him a 20 and he put it in his tip jar. We paddled straight across to peanut island and at about 2:30 we were trying to go back but couldn't because the tide was pooling us toward the main channel, the opposite direction of where we needed to go. We were stuck with other paddle boarders as well who couldn't make it back, not sure if they were from the same company. I called and they told me they would send someone out. After about an hour I called and asked for an update and it was a different person speaking with me who told me that we needed to figure it out because they don't have a boat to send to come get us. He then proceeded to suggest we all carry our paddle boards to the fairy. I told him that was not an option for us to walk far with the paddle boards because my boyfriend has a knee injury. His response was, "Well you probably shouldn't be paddle boarding if you have a knee injury." The guy and I ended up in an argument because he was extremely disrespectful with a dismissive attitude, overall extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. They never sent anyone out to get us and we had to pay to take the fairy back. Would not recommend this place, especially for tourists or people who aren't too familiar with tides, currents, etc. They don't give you any kind of information on that, or times of when you should start coming back so you don't have a hard time. Would not say this excursion is "safe". read more

This was my first meet up group and the only member of the group that signed up for the trip. The employees working were very knowledgeable and friendly. They offered to go on the trip with me but Peanut Island is a stone throw away from Riviera Beach. The kayaks are in good condition and the staff is safety conscious. Absolutely great business! The guys were incredibly nice and informative. We got lost getting to them and we were late only by a few minutes but they were super nice and understanding. My husband and I had a blast and the day was perfect. We will definitely be coming back many more times! Little advice would be to bring a small waterproof bag and some waters because you will get thirsty lol. There is pontoon food businesses too if you get hungry so bring cash, they'll drive along the shore and you wave your hand to signal them. Great people and business!!! read more

The kayaks were fine. It's a bit pricey at 60+ for 4 hours. But what irked me was Brett,who worked the kiosk, when he asked if we were experienced kayakers, not because he was concerned for our safety, but as he said he did not want to "have to rescue us". There were 18 mile/hour winds, which are not outrageous. We are in our 60's but no one should assume we are inexperienced, and no one should make our kayak experience about THEIR (in)convenience. We will not return. There are plenty of competitors around. read more

Honestly we chose this because we had a Groupon, but we were not disappointed! It is in a great location, and was easy to find. The staff was friendly and professional. We were running late to our reservation but they still gave us a full four hours. From the kiosk it is just a short paddle over to peanut island, which was wonderful.
