I got in touch with the individual who posted the photos and was given the contact info for the above company. I inquired about a potential trip for March 2016 and was given different options. I also made contact with other companies doing the similar tours, in the end I decided to go with Grand Staircase Discovery Tours. The main tour which I wanted was White Pocket. I advised the potential date in March and Chris Chalmers (the owner) penciled this. I also inquired about South Coyote Buttes and Chris gave me the steps on applying for a permit. I did get the permit for South Coyote Buttes and the trip was built around it. The cost for the different tours were discussed and confirmed. As we got closer to our trip, Chris emailed and called several times to finetune our trip. We are now back in Bakersfield. We ended up taking 3 trips with them. Rob Wulff was our guide. Rob was the ultimate guide, soft spoken and knowledgeable about the area including the geology. Rob was extremely helpful specially on our first trip which was an overnight stay at White Pocket. The weather was not cooperative with the wind blowing 40-45 mph. Rob made it as comfortable as he can given the conditions. He showed us the good spots photograph and also made sure as a group (5) we were constantly watched over for our safety. During our hikes, Rob made sure the pace was right for everyone. The cost of their tours were comparable if not less than the other tour companies. Their service was great. Their attention to the details was impeccable. We will be back for more tours with Chris. Highly recommended.

Its an outstanding piece of nature! Just breath taking…read more There is a $10 fee to park your car then its a 20 to 30 minute walk down a gently sloping path to get to the bend. There are two rest spots along the way to sit for a bit if you are tired. Both spots has limited seating and shade provided by a canopy The best viewpoint has a guardrail around it, but you are free to wander off on your own. Do be careful, you can fall down, its a real spot, and not Disneyland, so just watch your step We went right after a few days of rain. The area is a bit remote and cell phone coverage is spotty I suggest wearing comfy shoes. Ladies, if you want to wear high heels, bring them in a backpack and change out when you are ready to take photos, your feet will thank you. The path to the bend has a gentle decline on tbe way there and an incline on the way back. Its not paved, but it is well maintained. Definitely an excellent experience, photos and videos don't do it justice. Go and see it with your own eyes

The images area amazing but really don't do justice when you're here soaking in this glorious majestic view in person. A true wonder of Mother Nature. Definitely need to see this if you're visiting Grand Canyon. It's a 2.5 hrs drive from Grand Canyon but so so worth it. EV owners. Make sure to charge up to your max range at Grand Canyon valley because there are NO chargers during the 2.5hrs drive between Grand Canyon to Page. There is a Tesla supercharger in Page. The traffic is supposed to slow down to 25 mph, but I'm not sure how strictly that is followed. Park at the Carl Hayden Visitor Center at Glen Canyon Dam and walk on over, or you can choose to park at the side of the road in pullouts at both ends of the bridge to walk the bridge. There is high fencing for safety, but it does take away from the view a little bit. Best of all, this is free to enjoy! Definitely stop by and take a stroll.

As you enter you can see a big area of exhibits that talk about the geology of the dam as well as how Glen Canyon Dam compares to other dams in the world. Quite ominously, there was a exhibit about the water levels and it hadn't been updated in years...the overall trend was that there isn't a lot of water now. You can also watch a movie in back, shop at the gift shop, and get more information about the dam and surrounding areas at the information desk. Don't forget to walk on the bridge nearby, although it can be a bit unnerving to have traffic whizz by with not a lot of distance between you and them. It's unfortunate you can't actually enter the dam, but it makes sense due to the visitor volume and security concerns.

The canyon is beautiful and even with my crappy phone camera I was able to get some decent pics. The canyon really looks like the pics you see on the internet. We only had about a dozen in our group - we went at 1 PM. We were told to go earlier but the size of our group was smaller because we waited and the colors were still pink amazing. There are some pretty steep steps to climb down in the beginning but don't let those deter you. Just go slow - it's worth it!

Nevan, our professional and friendly guide was so knowledgeable about these earthly sculptures and quite the skilled photographer as he took pictures of all the guests individually in various rooms of this magical tour. Cost was $86.00 and up depending on which tour you want to do with a minimal wait to go down into these spectacularly sculptured colored walls. There is a gift shop and cafe you can grab a cold beverage and a bite of food that is worth visiting. *NOTE* You must check in 30 minutes prior to your tour time AND you can only bring a water bottle and a camera/cellphone . Put your keys in your pocket and leave everything else in your car. Wear shoes you can walk through sand to get to site and that you can climb down and up ladders. This is a very busy tour but well worth it. The tour is on Navajo Tribal lands so please respect the land and those that work this tour and even more so when it's hot out.

There is a lookout point that is easy to reach in Page, about a 10-15 min drive away from the main shopping areas (like where the big Safeway is). There's plenty of free parking, and you can take a short (couple minutes) walk to the little overlook. There are some big rocks you can climb over to get a more direct view, or a little pagoda shaded area that directly faces the dam. I liked the view from the rocks because you can see the whole river too facing the dam and the bridge. It certainly does make you feel small, and is a testament to the best work of civil engineering!

They helped my wife in a time of serious need with patients and professionalism that was top notch! She made my wife feel safe and comfortable and was able to help her out of the canyon without further complications.
