The canyon is beautiful and even with my crappy phone camera I was able to get some decent pics. The canyon really looks like the pics you see on the internet. We only had about a dozen in our group - we went at 1 PM. We were told to go earlier but the size of our group was smaller because we waited and the colors were still pink amazing. There are some pretty steep steps to climb down in the beginning but don't let those deter you. Just go slow - it's worth it!

Kinda dismissive when questions asked. Just wanted to get out of the canyon it seemed. It's an hour long for lower antelope tour. Mostly standing around waiting for folks to move. Crowded. Guide said the upper antelope is half the length and only worth it if sun is shining which is why they only tour between 10-1 for that one. They have a gift shop and cafe inside with food.

Several weeks before visiting page, I booked a reservation with AACT online. When visiting Antelope Canyon, you are required to take a tour. Without a tour reservation (which I recommend that you book well in advance), you can't go to Antelope Canyon. Located on Navajo land, there are several different tour guide companies available. They each have different prices, different times, and slightly different tours. AACT offered the best option for my schedule. On the day of our tour, we stopped by 20 minutes early as requested. After checking in, there was a little time to check out their gift shop and go to the bathroom (portapotties only). From there, we got into our comfortable, air-conditioned van and made our way to Antelope Canyon. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was a cool guy, shared a good amount of history about Antelope Canyon, and provided a lot of photo opps to everyone on the tour (we had a group of 15 people or so). He knows all of the right angles and the correct phone set up to give you the best pictures possible inside the canyon. Which was definitely much appreciated! My only complaint, and this applies to all of the tour companies, is that the tours are quite expensive. In addition to your tour, you also have to pay a fee to go on the reservation, and then an additional fee on top of that. It's like going to a concert where you're paying all of these extra fees in addition to the main act which sucks. Given how popular Antelope Canyon has become, people will buy at the price point. I just wish it was a bit more affordable.

Agent didn't complete airline reservations properly - resulted in additional expense. 4. Agent lacks attention to detail - itinerary was missing a round trip flight. 5. Agent is not familiar with airline policies. 6. Incomplete hotel information from Agent - hotel was closed; I was not notified. 7. Agent didn't inquire at hotels for perks and additional charges - added charges after the stay. 8. Agent was not truthful - stated information was sent to me that was not sent.

The bigger issue, however, was her lack of knowledge regarding the passport requirements for travel between the US and Mexico and her insistence that she was right about said requirements and condescending tone when talking to or emailing my wife and I when we pointed out her error. There is NO REQUIREMENT that passports be valid for at least 6 months beyond the length of stay for citizens of either country traveling to the other like for some other countries. There is a reciprocity agreement whereby this is waived. She was so sure she was right that she suggested we either a) drive 300 miles to do an instant 1 day renewal, b) send in for a renewal with no time to spare (the guy at the passport office said don't risk it), or 3) pay an exorbitant fee to some expediting company who is unlikely to deliver. Ultimately we ignored her advice and just used the passport in question with no issues but it added a considerable amount of unnecessary stress to an already stressful time to travel. We would not use her again or recommend her.

For a mind boggling flight over the Grand Canyon, Monuments Valley, and Lake Powell in a six seat…read moreplane you have to try Westwind. Our pilot was a college age guy earning his stripes to fly the big boys - and so he was young and enthusiastic. We flew directly over the canyon for thirty miles or so, over to and around Monuments for about an hour, over Lake Powell for about 45 minutes. We then stopped at Page Airport at Lake Powell for about 20 minutes for fuel and a break. Then it was back over the Canyon for another 1/2 hour on the way home. The canyon was incredible from above, and just when we were totally awed we flew to Monuments for an amazing view of the spires, necks and mesas rising out of the desert. Then Lake Powell - which if you have never seen I very highly recommend. The lake is made from damming the upper canyons and so is a network of deep blue fingers twisting and turning across a hundred square miles of desert. Wow - what a great show. I had no idea what we were in for. There were four of us and the pilot, so it was very personalized. The canyon can be very windy, so for us we had a number of E-Ticket type drops and bumps. At one point we all hit our heads on the roof of the plane. So, it's not for the squeamish - but if you are up for a truly unique experience then give them a try.

While on vacation in Arizona, we wanted to check out the oldest village of the Hopi tribe. We did…read morenot stay at the hotel/motel on the reservation. Instead we purchased a walking tour for $20 per person. Their website does not provide a lot of information regarding the tour. The best way to book the tour and get directions on how to get to the Walpi village is to call the phone number listed on the website. The instructions I was given to get to the Walpi village was a little confusing. But thankfully after a few detours we made it. Our tour guide Cherilyn was wonderful. We needed to use the bathroom after driving 2.5 hours from Chandler, AZ. Unfortunately there was no restroom for use at the Walpi village--but thankfully there was an outhouse that we were able to use. That added to the experience! But for those of you that plan to do this tour, make sure to stop by the Hopi Cultural center first to use the restroom before doing this tour. This tour is separate from the Hopi Cultural Center. You cannot book this tour with them. You must call ahead and prepay via credit card or go in person to the First Mesa Consolidated Village office (FMCV). The FMCV office is not open on weekends. Since we were planning to visit on a weekend, we prepaid for our tour and then met our tour guide at the Walpi village in First Mesa. Here are the instructions so you won't get lost like we did: plug in GPS location: N35.49030 W110.30150 go north on AZ-87 at the intersection of AZ-87 and AZ-264E, make a right turn towards First Mesa (if you are coming from the west, you have to drive east past Second Mesa to get to First Mesa) keep driving until you see a road opening (on left side) with a huge white sign that says FMCV the FMCV sign will have an arrow pointing left--dont go left unless you plan to purchase tickets--to go to Walpi village, go right instead Keep driving until you reach the very very top of the hill (the entire road going up will be paved--do not drive down any dirt roads going downhill--we did this and it was wrong!) you will see houses at the top of the hill, keep driving to the very back of this "neighborhood" until you see a sign that says "do not go beyond this point" park in the lot When we arrived Cherilyn was already there to meet us. While I was booking the tour, I was advised by the lady working at FMCV that I would be contacted the day before the tour to confirm the tour, to let me know who our tour guide would be, and would be given a contact phone number in case we got lost. Unfortunately none of this occurred. We had no phone number to call when we got lost and we didnt know Cherilyn was our guide until we arrived at the village. Hopefully they can correct this for the future. I advise making reservations in advance. A couple arrived from Arkansas after our tour was over and they wanted to take a tour. However, the village was preparing for a graduation so tour guides were not so readily available to accept walk-ins. After our tour was over, we were able to check out some of the products handmade by the village people. Their talents are very impressive! I compared the products from after the tour and the products at the cultural center. The products after our tour at the Walpi village were WAY BETTER than what I saw at the Hopi cultural center. If you like what you see, buy it! I forgot to mention that while on tour, there were some men in their home making products. We were invited into their home to see their handmade items. It was a privilege to be invited into their historic home. I would recommend everyone to take this tour to learn about the Hopi people and how they lived then and now. Their culture is so rich in history. After the tour we headed over to the restaurant by the Hopi Cultural Center for some authentic Hopi Indian eats. See picture. PS--the tour does not allow for any photography or video taking. You will have to take mental pictures and try to remember it all!
