The canyon is beautiful and even with my crappy phone camera I was able to get some decent pics. The canyon really looks like the pics you see on the internet. We only had about a dozen in our group - we went at 1 PM. We were told to go earlier but the size of our group was smaller because we waited and the colors were still pink amazing. There are some pretty steep steps to climb down in the beginning but don't let those deter you. Just go slow - it's worth it!

Nevan, our professional and friendly guide was so knowledgeable about these earthly sculptures and quite the skilled photographer as he took pictures of all the guests individually in various rooms of this magical tour. Cost was $86.00 and up depending on which tour you want to do with a minimal wait to go down into these spectacularly sculptured colored walls. There is a gift shop and cafe you can grab a cold beverage and a bite of food that is worth visiting. *NOTE* You must check in 30 minutes prior to your tour time AND you can only bring a water bottle and a camera/cellphone . Put your keys in your pocket and leave everything else in your car. Wear shoes you can walk through sand to get to site and that you can climb down and up ladders. This is a very busy tour but well worth it. The tour is on Navajo Tribal lands so please respect the land and those that work this tour and even more so when it's hot out.

This review is for Adventurous Antelope Canyon Tours (AACT) exclusively. Antelope Canyon, a…read moremajestic locale, has its own Yelp page. Several weeks before visiting page, I booked a reservation with AACT online. When visiting Antelope Canyon, you are required to take a tour. Without a tour reservation (which I recommend that you book well in advance), you can't go to Antelope Canyon. Located on Navajo land, there are several different tour guide companies available. They each have different prices, different times, and slightly different tours. AACT offered the best option for my schedule. On the day of our tour, we stopped by 20 minutes early as requested. After checking in, there was a little time to check out their gift shop and go to the bathroom (portapotties only). From there, we got into our comfortable, air-conditioned van and made our way to Antelope Canyon. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was a cool guy, shared a good amount of history about Antelope Canyon, and provided a lot of photo opps to everyone on the tour (we had a group of 15 people or so). He knows all of the right angles and the correct phone set up to give you the best pictures possible inside the canyon. Which was definitely much appreciated! My only complaint, and this applies to all of the tour companies, is that the tours are quite expensive. In addition to your tour, you also have to pay a fee to go on the reservation, and then an additional fee on top of that. It's like going to a concert where you're paying all of these extra fees in addition to the main act which sucks. Given how popular Antelope Canyon has become, people will buy at the price point. I just wish it was a bit more affordable.

Keep in mind no bags no matter what size are allowed including water backpacks. I loved that our guide Marcus played the flute during the tour and explained how music helps to keep him grounded and pays respect. He also was very down to earth and was able to assist with photos and educated the group on the history of the canyon. Learned so much about how tell the age of the rocks and what different making mean. The Navajo people have done an outstanding job maintaining history and paying respect for all of things the earth provides. Things to note : bring water and a portable fan to help stay cool. There are over 100 steps without railing to enter the lower canyon. Take your time and rest when needed. Water is very important there are coolers with water long the routes. They is alot of red sand and it gets windy so wear eye protection and mouth covers. They will be a van ride to and from the entrance. Bring cameras and videos are allowed. This is well organized and if for any reason cant make it back up they will provide a help. The guide will be in constant communication with the office amd able to call for help via radio. This is an amazing experience and worth every spent. I can't wait to bring my son someday. Thanks for sharing your land and traditions with us we are grateful. Somethings in life are not learned from books but experiences! Thanks Marcus

This was my first time using a travel agent, and and Judy is the reason I will always be a client for life. There were so many complicated details of this multi-destination trip that would be impossible to coordinate without Judy. Judy was so communicative, extremely knowledgeable, resourceful, and had all the insider tips on traveling to Japan. She listened to exactly what I was looking for in terms of accommodations & tours and really tailored this trip to exceed my expectations. There were many instances where Judy's service and dedication surpassed your typical travel agent. When booking our flight through Japan Airlines, I personally called Japan Air to get my companion & I seats next to each-other during the 11+ hour flight. This was important to me as I suffer from sever flight anxiety. Even though Japan Airlines stated that seat assignments are only given out 24 hours prior to a flight and side-by-side seats cannot be guaranteed, Judy & her team made a few phone calls and reached out to some of her resources and next thing I know, Japan Airlines honored our seat request! Judy was always thinking one step ahead of us and made recommendations for things I did not even think of! She was able to help with all of our reservations & tours, coordinated all of our ground transportation, and purchased tickets for the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto (which was impossible to find tickets online). No matter the time difference, or the language barrier, Judy always made every wish of our a reality. Judy and her team always have the clients best interest in mind and make a stressful trip like this, so enjoyable due to their diligent planning. Before we departed on out trip, we got a very detailed pamphlet with our itinerary with detailed instructions (with pictures) on how to proceed to taking the bullet train, subway system, & public transportation. We would have never been able to have such a memorable trip if it wasn't for Judy. She goes above and beyond to making all of her clients feel just like family. We are so beyond thankful Judy & everything she did to make this one of the most memorable trips of our life.

Our pilot was a college age guy earning his stripes to fly the big boys - and so he was young and enthusiastic. We flew directly over the canyon for thirty miles or so, over to and around Monuments for about an hour, over Lake Powell for about 45 minutes. We then stopped at Page Airport at Lake Powell for about 20 minutes for fuel and a break. Then it was back over the Canyon for another 1/2 hour on the way home. The canyon was incredible from above, and just when we were totally awed we flew to Monuments for an amazing view of the spires, necks and mesas rising out of the desert. Then Lake Powell - which if you have never seen I very highly recommend. The lake is made from damming the upper canyons and so is a network of deep blue fingers twisting and turning across a hundred square miles of desert. Wow - what a great show. I had no idea what we were in for. There were four of us and the pilot, so it was very personalized. The canyon can be very windy, so for us we had a number of E-Ticket type drops and bumps. At one point we all hit our heads on the roof of the plane. So, it's not for the squeamish - but if you are up for a truly unique experience then give them a try.
