In all the years I have lived here, this was the first time I have ever stopped in! I'm sad I didn't stop by sooner. At least during mid-day there was a slight wait. They're super busy (obviously someone thinks they are good!) so I had to wait about 10-15 min for my order to be ready but I think it was well worth it. Next time I might phone the order in and then come in and pick it up. I opted for the McNosh Breakfast Bagel Sand which. Not bad for $4. The sandwiches are pretty big so if you have a small stomach you might want to cut in half and save the other half for later. If you are in West Annapolis and craving carbs big time...I totally recommend stopping in this place for a bagel. It's close to the Rowe Blvd Exit on RT 50 so its an easy jump back onto the highway to go to work. read more

I love this place! This has become a breakfast staple for me when I'm in Annapolis on weekends. The service is quick, the bagels are fresh, the vibe is casual and homey and price is low. It's not the most walk-friendly location, but it's a short drive from downtown. The system of giving out playing cards instead of writing down names for the queue is genius. read more

Best bagels in annapolis. This use to be just a carry out operation, but they took over the store space next door and now they have large area where you get sit and enjoy your bagels. This place is horrible. We have tried two Saturdays in a row to order bagels from Naval Bagels. We called at least ten times each Saturday. We could never get through via the phone, so my husband decided to drive over there today. I should add that we don't live that close by. The unfriendly people that work there refused to take my husband's order in person. We are done with this place. Their customer service is horrible. I even tried calling both the Annapolis and Arnold lines. Um, maybe they should consider taking online orders. Naval Bagels...It's 2020. The internet has been around since the 90s. Your company desperately needs a new system. I can't imagine how much revenue your company is losing each year due to this antiquated system. read more

I'm so glad they expanded! I got so tired of feeling like a sardine in the old place. Not a big fan of bagels, so I usually get the Avocado Delight sandwich on wheat bread. It is so freaking good! When I do feel like a bagel, its the Naval Bagel (salmon, cream cheese, capers, ect) on an Old Bay bagel. Cant go wrong. Delicious bagels and great coffee from the local City Dock coffee. Came in for a bagel and lox and coffee which ran me around $10. Though you can get the same thing for less at nearby Bagels And, I have to say, Naval Bagel gets it right. My bagel was hearty and full of lox! They also have a big, clean and welcoming sitting area and seem to have a lot of regulars which is always a good sign. I'll definitely be back! read more

I used to love Naval Bagels but today was my last visit. For about the last six months, things seemed different but I wrote it off as new staff getting acclimated. At 10am on Sunday morning, I walk up to get bagels to go and start to ask for 1/2 dozen. The snarky cashier didn't hear me say I wanted a 1/2 dozen and cut me off with 'how many do you want?'. Well, 2 of the 4 were sold out and she told me that as if I should know, was rude and didn't say 'sorry, we are out of those' or something similar. At 10am on Sunday morning and based on what I saw, they were out of lots of flavors. Its not like I was there at like 2pm. And the woman who waited on me was so rude. There were tons of people waiting and long lines (I am sure partly due to being out of basics like egg bagels). So I am going to try Bagels And - I have given Naval more than enough time to get it together and they just got worse! read more

I love this bagel shop! They have great bagels and cream cheese! I haven't had a bagel sandwich but a lot of people were getting them, one day I plan on trying it. I also like the system of ordering them getting your own coffee or drinks and paying once your bagels ready. If your in the area it's a quick and great breakfast stop. read more

I am from New York originally. Had thousands of NY bagels. The bagels here at Naval bagels would never sell in NY. They are slightly better than supermarket bagels. They are not alone in the area with poor bagels though. They do the best they can. Must be the water. read more

I typically frequent Naval Bagel. Decent bagels and "up there" in terms of what you can find in Annapolis, but every time I go and ask for a toasted bagel the bagel comes out barely toasted. I've gone so far as to ask them to triple toast it and it still isn't toasted. It's pretty frustrating. The last time I went in there I saw roaches crawling on the wall behind the bagels. My husband has picked up bagels and cream cheese for me from here several times in the past. The bagels have always been good. This past Saturday was my first time actually going to Naval Bagels. For a Saturday morning at 8 AM, it was pretty busy. We both ordered The Northerner - I ordered it on an everything flagel and my husband ordered it on an old bay bagel. Once you order, they give you a playing card and they call the card when your order is ready. It took at least 15-20 minutes for us to get our sandwiches. During this time, we saw that they had fruit infused water - warning: this was not good! I was a little weary of it because it looked warm and at first taste, something was definitely off. Thankfully they had plain water as well! We finally got our sandwiches and I loved mine - the flagel allowed it to be the perfect proportion of egg to bagel to bacon to veggies. Truly, every bite was delicious. Though my husband ordered the same sandwich, they forgot to put bacon on his. His was good but the ratio of the bagel was off. All in all, I would definitely come back here for a well priced breakfast sandwich that will fuel me for the day! read more

A girl working here has a very poor attitude. She seems very stuck up. I'm guessing that it has to do with her looks and my looks, and possibly what she expects her normal customers to look and dress like, but she's got poor customer service skills. Non whatsoever. This place may need some management that could actually take care of this. The major problem was charging me $4.77 EXTRA for turkey on my egg sandwich that was never actually put in my sandwich. The "manager" refunded me but with hesitation and attitude. It wasn't as bad as that girl's attitude. If I ran this place, the way I was treated would be an immediate firing. Annapolis has two excellent sources of bagels ... the "other place," which I reviewed earlier, and Naval Bagels. The back-story is that Naval Bagels originated as a branch of Bagels And ..., the "other place," then broke off and went independent. If you compare menus, you'll see a lot of the same bagel sandwiches with the same goofy names (Chegba?), so that lends credence to the theory. Enough on their provenance. The bagels are equally as good as those found anywhere else, and are light years ahead of what you'll find in supermarket bakeries or frozen food aisles. They carry all the expected variations, many traditional and familiar to New Yorkers (who own the bagel), and some which are more progressive (Old Bay? Super Jalapeño?). No matter, they're perfectly cooked and, more importantly, served up with a smile. The staff at Naval Bagels really sets them apart from the competition. Naval has a friendlier vibe, the kids working there seem to really enjoy it and take ownership ... they're not just schlepping through a job. Makes for a very nice customer experience. Another plus ... in addition to branching out to a second location five years ago, they recently doubled the size of their Annapolis location. Business is good, and it ought to be. Great bagels, respectable prices, and friendly service in a pleasant environment make for an excellent breakfast or lunch destination. read more

The toasted Plain Bagel with butter was not very remarkable other than the heavy dousing of butter that we sponged off with a napkin. We did like the wall entertainment though - the big whiteboard had fun trivia facts and the WaPo was hung in pages by the bar seating so we could read the newspaper while we sponged. read more

This is my new favorite bagel place. The bagels are outstanding--dense and heavy, freshly-made. I enjoyed the "super jalapeno", which was hot, but not too hot. I also really liked the coffee--maybe I'm just really tired of Starbucks, but the brew here is outstanding. Every time we travel from California to visit our son at the Naval Academy we make sure to eat here several times! We LOVE it here. The atmosphere is so fun and filled with Navy spirit! It's always crowded and yet they are very efficient. This last time we called in our order and when we arrived it was ready for us and the order was exactly as we asked for. Always a good choice. My favorite is the classic Naval Bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato, red onions, and capers. They don't skimp on toppings. A little pricy but being a small, local business isn't easy! Worth the price always :) they recently expanded and added a huge seating area and a bigger ordering counter. Looks great guys. read more
