Not sure how I missed this place but a nice alternative and new coffee shop is always nice. I must've been like most trying for their first time but somehow I luckily found a park right in front. I didn't review the menu in advance and wasn't looking to explore too deep but some reason the salmon and egg toast caught my eye so I hit place order...and topped it off with a drip coffee. WiFi, seating, and ambiance give a warm feeling...I had the laptop with me so I was on the move...they have bar style seating as well as chairs...I saw a few outlets for those looking. I enjoy the kiosk for placing my order...took the mystery out of standing in line and deciding to order something else. It appears they have bake fresh items in store in sight as well. The toast and coffee were both flavorful...the toast gave everything it was supposed to and the avocado spread was a perfect touch. I was pretty sure the coffee would fall flat but I was wrong...strong and brewed fresh...I was honestly shocked....I would say pack your patience but the food is worth the wait. Easily a must return....not gonna lie...bring the wallet...good food indeed comes at a premium but it's worth it read more

Think of In Grano as an upscale version of Starbucks, but with significantly better coffee (in my humble opinion), fresh and delicious food, fantastic baked goods, and friendly service. Okay, maybe it's not like Starbucks at all... I tried a cortado sweetened with simple syrup, and I was wired all day! I also had their version of a Vietnamese banh mi, which was huge and scrumptious. Those homemade chips were absolutely to die for. If you visit for lunch, it can get busy, but not everyone chooses to eat in. The staff is friendly and more than willing to answer any questions about the menu. read more

Order was placed online for a weekend breakfast for pickup. The service was not the best. We waited in line for awhile just to get our order as if we're placing an order. The cashier wasn't friendly nor was she efficient or inviting. Have you never seen a minority race like me purchase a product from your store before? Gawking at a customer so overtly is rude whether from behind the counter, from the bakery kitchen, or elsewhere. The indoor dining area looks nice like social media friendly nice. I was already put off by the place trying to pick up an order placed well over 30 minutes prior. The weather was beautiful outside but the inside was dark and gloomy. Too bad the price of products and the interior design didn't quite match the taste of the product either. For 2 breakfast sandwiches, open salmon sandwich and a stuffed scallion pancake type of thing, the bill was close to $70 something. The worst part of it was none of us finished our food and nobody really liked the food. How tragic. Maybe I will find something else that I like from here if I choose to return in the future. I doubt that's happening anytime soon despite the location. read more

We are frequently at In Grano- return customers starting from our early days living in the Annapolis area- and they just keep getting better. Starting with a welcoming team that greets with a smile, that is only the beginning... choose something-- ANYTHING from the menu and you will not be disappointed- from soups to salad to sandwiches.... Mmmmmm..... love the toasts and coffees too! And they have this "pancake" that's not really a pancake and is stuffed with perfectly cooked pork and served with a dipping sauce .... Yum... try that one if you want something different. Plenty of space to sit and on those perfect temp days not too hot or cold, the wall literally opens so everyone can enjoy the outside air. Love this place! I'm really struggling to find the right words to describe the entire experience. The sandwiches are huge and there is nothing simple about anything on the menu. I really like the vibe. Definitely can see myself setting up shop to read or sending an email or two while enjoying my breakfast. We went on a Saturday morning and it was packed. I'd heard great things about this bistro and wanted to judge for myself. The reviews did not disappoint. They had a spring special matcha drink with strawberry foam. Typically speaking I'm not a huge fan of matcha. It's usually way too herbaceous for me, but I figured the strawberry would help. Surprisingly it was really good! A very subtle flavor and pretty refreshing. For my main I got the Tomago Avocado Toast. DELICIOUS! It had ton of ingredients, but it all paired together very nicely. I'm sure you could eat it as a handheld, but for me a knife and fork was the way to go. The only criticism is the front of the house could use a tad more TLC when it came to wiping tables down between guest. Granted it was a very busy Saturday morning and that may have threw them off their game. Outside of a few crumbs, I really enjoyed checking this place out. I met a friend who lives locally here for lunch when I was traveling through. I ordered the spiced apple Caesar salad with sour dough toast on the side and grilled chicken added. It was huge - and delicious! The dressing was amazing and everything was topped with freshly thin sliced parmigiana cheese. No pix - we were too busy catching up. My friend ordered an avocado toast that looked like an artist's creation. It's just open for breakfast - brunch - lunch with a very varied menu. It was hard, but I did not order a baked good - which is what they are known for (I think). "Bakery" is in their own description. read more

Gosh I want to like this place so bad! It really has all of the parts to be a great cafe, but somethings not right. The decor is cute, they have an intriguing menu, the pastry display is beautiful but I am just not sure. The actual dishes feel forced. I was really excited to try the avocado toast but the green slaw on top was so overpowering with I am assuming was worcestershire sauce and soy sauce?? I have been here a few times and the service is hit or miss. The cashier is sometimes very friendly or not at all. The eggs are piping hot or not at all... Overall Annapolis needs a bakery with solid food and In Grano slightly misses the mark but could get there with revamping and simplifying of their dishes along with more consistent service. read more

I Had Lunch at In Grano bistro today for the first time. When I came in I grabbed a menu and decided on the bahn mi sandwich and a glass of beer. After putting in my order I was able to grab a table easily. When my lunch was ready they called my name ( like Starbucks or 5 guys) the sandwich was enormous with overflowing house made potato chips. It was absolutely delicious and the bread was not the soft traditional bahn mi but was scrumptious bread that was crunchy and chewy at the same time. Nice background piano music and fair prices. Note for next time I would split one of the huge gourmet fresh sandwiches with a friend. Loved it five stars and thumbs up. read more

Glad I came back as the menu has grown and so have the seating options. There is a variety of artisan sandwiches that include house made breads, pickles, meats and sauces. My Cuban at $17 was an investment but a delicious one. This monster made for two meals and while the artsy chips looked nice and house made were greasy. The sandwich was delicious but missed the mark in it's attempt at a Cuban. The house pickles here did not provide tang or crunch necessary for a proper Cuban. We went one day for a lunch and it was fantastic. Out the gate I will tell you we highly recommend this establishment. It's got a lovely minimalist feel going on and a very open floor plan where you can see what's going on behind the counter, and a little into the kitchen. First you enter the establishment and we were warmly greeted by a young man who explained the options. We could walk up and order or we could sit down for a meal and scan a QR code at our table, order online, and the food comes out. We sat down at a beautiful table, beautiful wood bench seats. We scanned our QR code at our table and viola, ordered off the menu and food came out. Farro Salad. Delicious. It came with greens, beats and nuts and I asked them to hold the goat cheese, but I could see how well it would have gone together. The dressing was not over the top and so very complimentary. Wagyu Burger. Hubby enjoyed this as one of top best burgers of all times. It was perfectly cooked (on the rare side) and it was just phenomenal. The flavors were bursting and the meat tasted how meat should, fresh. It came with a side of house made potoato chips that were delicious as well, crunchy and fresh. We also enjoyed a rye citrus roll because I wanted to taste the bread and I was again very impressed with the texture and flavors. It was lovely. The staff was super friendly and the location was super clean. Everyone was wearing masks and there was sanitizer out. There is a coffee bar, I could definitely see this as a great place to stop in for a quick coffee/pastry before heading out of Annapolis or I could also see it as a great lunch place any time. Parking was easy, price was appropriate for what you are getting. Restrooms were clean and they had a specialty air scrubber going as well. I felt happy and safe here. I had heard about this from a former coworker. Husband and I tried it for breakfast to go. The pastries looked great. I got the PB&J croissant and my spouse had the almond croissant. His was ready within two minutes. I had to wait on mine. And wait. I asked and was told "We'll call you when it is ready!". After 15 minutes I asked, loudly, where was my order? The staffer said "Oh it's here". It had been there the whole time. Now it was lukewarm. But it was delicious. Thus 4 stars. The staff should not act aloof. You work in a bakery, not Harrods! Was here for the first time during breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burrito which has chorizo-spiced short rib, scrambled egg, pickled onions and Contija cheese. Having no idea what these ingredients would taste like; the menu looked interesting enough to give it a try. What arrived was an enormous burrito horizontally sliced on the plate looking just amazing. It came with a small dish of green chile spread. As I took the first bite, I knew I had never eaten any burrito like this. It was delicious. Full of flavor and really filling. I could only eat half and took the rest home to finish later. I really enjoy coming here for coffee and to do some work. The problem is the Wi-Fi never works. When asked about it, they reset it but it never seems to work. I'm starting to think that is the plan, to just not offer Wi-Fi so people don't linger. Just let us know if that's what you want Please fix the Wi-Fi and I'll come back. read more

In Grano is part of our regular rotation and somewhere we love bringing friends/family when they visit. The menu is so unique but everything is delicious. I always pick up a bag of oatmeal lace or the sea salt chocolate chip cookies every time I go! The bread is also tremendous, I'll get baguettes to use for garlic bread or dips at home. Also love the special menus they have for events periodically like holidays or the Super Bowl. I've been a couple dozen times and the food and service are always consistent! read more

Tried takeout from them for the first time this week and the food is hands down AMAZING. I got their burger and my partner got their bratwurst. Both sandwiches were huge and very tasty. The burger is probably one of the best I've ever had. My partner said the bratwurst was great. I enjoyed the burger so much I even went back today to try their roast beef sandwich. It was delicious. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the cost is definitely on the pricier side. $4 for a small iced tea is insane. The burger and roast beef are $17. I'd be ok paying $13-15 but $17 is a little much. Not sure how often I'd eat here but it's definitely worth trying. read more

So this little cafe bakery has made a customer for life. I go to the hair salon next store and about a month ago i went in to buy two coffees for me and my sister. For us, we did not enjoy the coffee so when i brought the coffee back they refunded my money and even took the time to explain the type of coffee bean they used. Cut to today - i was getting my hair done again yes every 4 weeks. So i went to see if they had hot chocolate. The gentleman behind the counter was so nice and helpful. They didn't exactly have hot chocolate. But they accommodated me and made actually the best hot chocolate I've had in a long time and it actually had a bit of mocha in it. I explained to him my first experience and he was so generous that he would not charge me for my hot chocolate. Little did i know - he was the owner. I did also buy some of their sweet treats as well. So far i had the chocolate chip sea salt cookie and it was AHHH-mazing. I look forward to make this spot my new little 4 week treat. There's nothing like great atmosphere great food but more so amazing customer service. read more

Excellent coffee, and everything I've tried so far has been delicious :) Typically I just get a latte and a small pastry, and it's always solid. Nice place to stay a while in too... There's plenty of free parking, it's quiet and off the busy road, and there's an outdoor area on nice days. Tried the bread once and it was amazing! read more

The almond croissant was cold and hard as a rock. I'm always looking for a good croissant in Annapolis, this restaurant is definitely not the place to go. In addition, The restaurant put a lid on my coffee, yet they did not actually ensure that it was on and when I took it out to my car the lid flew off and it spilled everywhere. I have been to this restaurant several times and each time I order something different hoping for different results, definitely not a place to recommend for breakfast. read more

Beautiful build out for this restaurant. Service was arrogant and bad. Reuben was a corn beef sandwich with fatty, griseled meat. Bread was good. Coconut bar was great. Latte was good but luke warm. 60$+ for 2 Reubens, coconut bar, latte, and an ice tea. I might have tried it again if they had acted, in any way, like they cared. read more

Have only been there twice, both for lunch carryout, so it's a limited sample. First time beef sandwich, second the bratwurst. Predictably, sandwiches which have juicy meats or toppings/sauces don't travel well, both times the bottom piece of bread were soggy. The beef was good, wasn't tough. A tad disappointed with the brat. The overwhelming sauce overwhelmed the brat flavor. The sauce and sandwich was ok, but the sauce's flavor didn't quite work with the brat. The unique chips are interesting, different, but not a home run. All in all good. Will try other sandwiches and breakfast...but will eat the sandwiches 'in.' Great offering of local snacks and sweets, close to the Annapolis farmer's market, and incredibly friendly staff.
