Nice little market with packaged goods as well as deli offering. I got a turkey sandwich which was quite yummy. Sat outside and ate on the tables watching cars pass on by. The staff were friendly and it looks like they had a grill going for bbq burgers. Would love to stop here again on my next drive up the coast. read more

Awesome little general store with an amazing deli. Smoked turkey with provolone all the Dixons on a soft roll = delicious. Great selection of alcoholic beverages as well as sodas and drinks for kids . The workers were super friendly and helpful. The deck looks like it would be awesome to eat on however it was way too cold but will definitely swing by again next trip hopefully get to try it out. read more

I recently saw a show at this tiny venue: Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter. It was a fantastic show, very mellow crowd, free parking, good food (bbq) available. I will not give 5 stars, though, because no drinking is allowed in the venue--never have I been to a concert where no drinking was allowed! Also, Navarro is really in the middle of nowhere. The nearest civilization is Santa Rosa, which is 75 miles away. The setting in Navarro is very beautiful, and I recommend it if you don't mind a lot of driving. read more

We spent $15 on a peanut butter and jelly and some snacks and asked to use their facilities. We were directed to use an outside restroom that literally overflowed with human waste. When I returned and asked nicely if they had a restroom that wasn't overflowing we were told no. However we noted a friend of the clerk came in and was directed to an available restroom. If you're going to stop, head on up the road, there are fruit stands that have better hospitality than the Navarro General Store. read more

Wow, What a great place to shop, and visit. I rolled through this wonderful store in the redwoods after finding Paul Dimmick campgrounds on a road trip in a 33 foot motorhome. The people at The Navarro General store are some of the kindest, helpful folks you'll could run into. Even though the town is low on water they let us fill up our motorhome with enough water for the rest of our trip...... Some low life stole the already hurting Paul Dimmick campgrounds generator that runs the water pump. We made it a point to return and do some more shopping the next day just to show our appreciation, and grab up some more of that GOOD, GOOD bacon they sell there. This place is like a mega mart in a little store, everything you need is there! Thank you everyone at The Navarro General Store. read more

This is a great stop on your way to the coast. If you are on your way inland, this is a great place to grab lunch to take to one of the many wineries with picnic tables. We have also stayed and had our lunch on their deck. You really can't go wrong. They have a great sandwich menu with fresh and often local ingredients, as well as enchiladas and other yummy things. We love the sandwiches so much, we've never been able to order anything else. The folks here are great and add to the charm of Navarro Store. Between the sandwiches, cold drinks, and nice people, this is a place we always go when we are in the area. read more

The Navarro General Store is my go-to place for BBQ anytime I am on my way to Mendocino or just checking out the local wineries in Anderson Valley. The customer service is beyond helpful and are willing to answer any questions with a smile. I recommend this place to anyone who I hear visiting the area. I've also been fortunate to stop by on a few weekends which they had musical performances. Watching and listening to music in the middle of the forest makes for a fun and rare venue. read more

We stayed locally for a few weeks and loved this place. Good food, good people, cool locals. Great place to fuel up, and get some food and wine or one of the local microbrew beers. They make good cappuccinos for the morning, and deli sandwiches for forest or beach hiking. Really nice crew working there too. read more

WOW! What a gem of a place! Super friendly and cool owner Dave! I wouldn't say it is completely in the middle of nowhere as it is in the center of Navarro and closs to Mendocino/Fort Bragg area! There are so many wonderful parts of this store that it is hard to name them all... where else can you see Johnny Winter play with only 200 folks dancing to the music... rumored that Buddy Guy and maybe even Michael Franti may be playing there in 2010. The Pink Floyd laser light show and performance is outstanding... Great BBQ and yes, you can drink beer and wine at the store grounds... They do not allow alcohol in the fenced in mini arena - that only occurs for four shows... Great place to chill and relax!!! read more

We always stop here on our way to Mendocino. The sandwiches are so good. They also have a great selection of wines. Apparently they do business with a lot of the wineries in the area. During the warmer months they do a great barbecue on the deck. I had the opportunity to see a few shows at the amphitheater, under the stars in the redwoods! Doesn't get much better.
