Big store, very nice place that resembles a Whole Foods or Sprouts Farmers Market. Seems to have been updated since I was here last. It's a nice store. All kinds of great gifts, deli food, candy, bakery, produce, wine, liquor, fresh food in the deli, gifts, plants, home necessities, and the usual stuff found at grocery stores. I went in specifically to find Carol Hall's Kitchen's jalapeño jam. I bought one of those, a jalapeño berry mix and a blackberry jam. A friend swears by this brand. I also found some paper free, bamboo tissue. Easy to find employees, one didn't know where the items I needed were located. Another woman knew and told me which isles. The one unfamiliar with the store, at least the Irene I needed, came and found me to direct me to the right spot. I appreciate that. Checker rang up my items, the bagger banged them. Neither said much to me. The checker told me my total and the bagger asked if I wanted a bag. Customer service could be a bit more upbeat, eg, "hi, did you find what you needed, how's your day, thanks for coming in. read more

Ordered sandwiches from their catering menu for a picnic hike. We had croissant sandwiches, regular sandwiches and vegan wraps. They were all tasty except the bread was a little dry. Looking forward, I'll just order the croissant sandwiches and wraps. Excellent customer service. Staff was extremely helpful. Plenty of parking space and the store is clean. This is my first grocery store review. We are camping on Fort Bragg, ca and just didn't want to sit in a restaurant tonight. So, I went shopping! This store has a wide selection of specialty foods, drinks (alcohol and non), fabulous deli and refrigerators full of pre packed upscale items. The deli worker made sure my items were cut as I ordered. She offered samples and I spent a bit more than I expected. Local wines, ciders , beer and hard liquor was available at not to bad prices. Oh yeah, the bakery, had to try a few things, a couple of muffins and a slice of cheesecake. Oh well, worth the cost. No pictures, but I will be shopping there again. read more

This is a great medium-sized grocery store that has just about everything you need for daily shopping or a short vacation to Ft. Bragg. As expected, their prices are a little bit higher and selection smaller than the Safeway closer to the center of town. But worth it, IMO. They've also got a very strong deli and prepared foods section. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 due to the haphazard work of their baggers. Unless I'm paying close attention, overstuffed bags, eggs at the bottom of the bag and/or bagged on edge, and fragile stuff bagged under heavy stuff is common. read more

TRAVELERS BEWARE! If you go to this store at night, the creepy manger will follow you and harass you because he does not believe your service animal is real. So he will sit there and stare at you and follow you. Then he doesn't even follow the ADA laws with how to ask the properly. I told him why he was a service animal and his service. He tells me he thinks im being aggressive. I told him i felt harassed and the manager continued to argue. Then a local thinks she is brave. Do not go to thus store. Go to the Mendocino store, much more friendly to none locals. read more

I stopped off at Harvest Market while on a road trip to visit the Redwoods. What a fantastic market! It has a wide array of products and produce at great prices! The employees are very friendly and helpful. I live in the Bay Area and would love to have a market like this nearby. I highly recommend this store to anyone passing through Ft. Bragg. My only suggestion to the business is to put some kind of scale in the bulk food section, and perhaps stock some little paper bags for those that don't want to use plastic. I came here originally for bananas and maybe a brownie. The brownies turned out to not be vegan, so I headed to the chocolate aisle and there is SO much selection for vegan chocolates and ice cream. They also have a nice produce section and apparently you get cash back up to $60 if you get California grown produce and use a Cal Fresh card. I haven't tried it myself so I wouldn't know how it works but that's pretty neat. According to reviews this grocery store raises funds for the community, they even had a little change jar at the end of check out for a Coastal Cat Rescue. I'd prefer to put my money towards a place that isn't a chain (there's only one other location down in Mendocino) and gives back to the community. So, skip the Safeway and come here if you can. read more

I will give this Market 5 stars. While prices maybe are a few percent more expensive than Safeway, Harvest is kept clean, and friendly ,and well stocked with most all items that I need. Their checkers, the staff always respond to a special request, like, where you wish the egg carton to go, etc. I always leave feeling pleased with the folks that I meet there and the setting up there on the hill is special. read more

This is a very grateful shout-out for 2 Harvest employees who went above and beyond to help me on Wed. July 9th. I had lost (they dropped out of my pocket where I'd foolishly put them!) a very expensive pair of clip-on sunglasses and could not find them in the store. Enter Mackenzy at Customer Service who engaged a lovely young man named Malachi (I think was his name) to help me look. I gave up. Seemed like too much of a long shot. I find myself here at Harvest often for their second day baked goods. They are still within expiration and for so much cheaper. It's the treasure hunt thrill that you get while walking through TJMaxx or Homegoods. But they also have great local selections. My husband is particularly fond of their yogurt selection (sheep and goat yogurts available!) and I ADORE their orphan cheese shelf. I can try cool variety of cheese in smaller guilt free portions. And they carry my favorite coffee creamer. I also love how their meats are portioned for smaller homes/families. Perfect for my husband and I. This is the best grocery store ever. We were in Ft Bragg on vacation and ended up getting most of our food and meals here. * You MUST get their tri tip sandwich. It's honestly the best tri tip sammy I've ever had. One of my kids got the mahi mahi sammy and he downed in in about 5 seconds and asked for another. * Their booze section is off the charts. Just absolutely amazing, tons of really unique spirits and cocktails. * The deli is equally off the charts. Wanna make a crazy charcuterie? They have the best selection I've ever seen for cheese, meats, and all the other goodies. * Their personal care section is a destination of it's own. They carry a HUGE selection and some really amazing skin care and beauty brands. I honestly went one day by myself just to deep dive into the skin care section. So, our 29th Wedding Anniversary was on 6/27/21. The Floral/ Delivery people last minute helped me setup a surprise for my wife by delivering a bouquet of flowers in a vase and rose pedals, for the hotel to spread out on the bed. The hotel, on their own, came up with the heart design of rose pedals on the bed. A collaborative effort that Best Western and Harvest Market help make happen. Love this market for their deli section. There are items under the glass counter which they scoop for you and boxed prepared meals in the refrigerator. New boxed meal selections come out at 9am. And microwaves are on site so you can heat the food up. The meals with tin bottoms can go in their microwaves. The food tasted restaurant quality. Excellent: Thai curry chicken, Mixed vegetables, Cobb Salad, Grilled chicken pesto pasta Good: Tri Tip with Lentils, Indonesian chicken The selection changes daily as the Thai curry and Tri Tip were available on a Sunday, but upon return on a Tuesday, the availability was different and Mexican food was the theme. There are great items in their fresh bakery section too: chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, chocolate chip cookies, almond cookies, garlic bread with cloves of garlic in it. The store also has a clothing and accessories section. The workers were friendly. They charge 10 cents per paper grocery bag if you don't bring your own. Wow, I wish they had a location like this in my hometown. I'd probably visit way too often. The reason I love this place so much is because me and my boyfriend came to Fort Bragg for the weekend and stopped by several wineries. We bought some bottles to take home and wanted to find some nice cheese pairings. We picked the perfect place to come. There was an entire cheese section with a man behind the counter allowing you to sample cheeses. He was very knowledgeable and explained each one, helping us pair the perfect cheese with our wine. If it weren't for him, we probably would've picked a random generic cheese we always get but this time we came home with five different cheeses! They have an awesome selection of mini cheeses so you can pick a variety of tiny blocks to take home if you are indecisive like me. They are cheap and the way to go if you want more selection. We also got the jalapeño salami which is unlike anything I've ever tried, delicious. read more

In addition they have a large selection on household items, gifts, and even some clothing. I want my own town to have a Harvest Market. While I appreciate we are going through Covid, my shopping experience was less than what I expect for Harvest. I've shopped several times throughout the years. This time the customer service was so unfriendly, so unwelcoming. The staff in produce pointed to something when I asked a question, he didn't even smile or say anything just pointed. Another employee was stocking shelves, I needed to get something where they were stocking, I said I'm sorry excuse me, he never said a thing, just stepped aside and moved back when I got what I needed. The cashier and bagger in check out never said hello, how are you, nothing to me. What is going on in here? I can spend $259 in groceries of my hard earned money and be treated like crap? Something is very wrong in your store, and I havent been back since. Management needs to figure what real customer service is about? read more

Totally loved this store till they dropped the ball on our wedding cake. Found out the morning of our wedding that they never made it. The excuses started that they tried contacting us , NOPE!! Management has not been much better. We called the local corporate store chain and they provided us with a cake for FREE!!!! Safeway told us they could not charge us after what had happened to us. I called the manager and told him what had happened and assured him we followed all their procedures and he promised to contact us. Two weeks now with no reply. Buyer beware with this store. They have lost my small dollars and they probably do not care about that either read more

This is a great little high-end market on the south side of Fort Bragg. I stopped in here to get some soda and candy and was impressed by their nice selection of bulk foods, bakery items and fresh produce. The staff was friendly and the food was tasty. What more can you ask for? The store was clean, isles well stock and organized. I would definitely come here again next time I'm in town. read more

A lovely Natural Foods Market in Fort Bragg, this place is even bigger on the inside than it looks out! They have extensive sections with personal care items, kitchenware, and a whole wall of beer. And you'll find a few less expensive, name brand items alongside the upscale choices... We came in for a few more items to add to our game night charcuterie and we were not disappointed! We l found a lovely assortment of pickles, olives, cheeses, crackers, breads, and spreads... Just what we needed to round out a fine night of grazing... Alas, as with other stores if this kind, it's just lovely save for prices... Great market with all kinds of products available for locals and visitors alike. We were on a roadtrip and tired of dining out, so wanted something healthy but tasty to eat in our nearby hotel room with a view and Harvest Market perfectly fit the bill. The deli and hot food selection gave us so many options. The salad bar, hot bar, and even a nice olive bar also helped fill up our small hotel fridge. My husband enjoyed some barbecue ribs, I had a roasted chicken breast, and we shared a large Cesar salad for dinner. He made the better choice, the ribs were delicious. I understood why the hot bar chicken were all thigh selections, because the deli breast was dried out almost to jerky, but the flavor was good shredded on my salad. The wine selection was somewhat overwhelming, but fortunately there were descriptors of the many options so it was helpful picking the perfect bottle to enjoy with the sunset. Harvest Market also had full liquor, so my husband picked out a nice locally distilled vodka for our hotel room happy hour. This store even had other products like shirts and a everything you could possibly need for a day at the beach or a night in your room. Nice atmosphere, decent prices, and huge selection, so worth a stop in while in the area. read more

We stopped in at this market while on vacation in Fort Bragg. We absolutely loved this market, the selection is great, prices are very reasonable and a majority of the products are locally sourced; which is huge for me and my family. The employees were all super friendly and helpful, the customers were also very friendly- which it such a change from the Safeway down the road. The store was clean and organized, the bakery, meat and produce departments were all nicely stocked and clean. The one thing I really loved was the bulk soap dispenser station, I was able to buy Dr. Bronners soap by the ounce and purchase the container. When we return to Fort Bragg, we will be returning.
