Great doctor. He really helped me with my sinus issues, more than any other ENT doctor I have ever known.

I underwent nasal surgery with Dr. Ashley Balaker on 8/21/25. It has now been six months, and I am…read moreno better than I was prior to surgery. At my follow-up appointment on 10/24/25, I expressed that my symptoms had not improved. Dr. Balaker performed a brief nasal scope exam that lasted less than a minute and stated that everything "looked fine." When I asked for a CT scan to further evaluate why my symptoms persist, I was told it was not necessary. I left feeling dismissed and unheard. Throughout my visits, I felt rushed and uncomfortable asking questions. During my last appointment, her bedside manner was particularly concerning -- she was not personable, appeared impatient, and at times rolled her eyes when I asked questions. As a patient who underwent surgery, I expected thoughtful follow-up and a willingness to investigate ongoing symptoms. After surgery, no one from the office contacted me to check on my recovery or schedule follow-up care. I had to call the office myself to arrange a post-operative appointment. Additionally, prior cultures had shown heavy growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and I did not feel there was adequate follow-through regarding this finding. Finally, at my follow-up visit I was told there would be no copay. Four months later, I received a bill, which was surprising and frustrating. Surgery is a serious decision. Patients deserve careful follow-up, transparency, and to feel heard when they report persistent symptoms. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I will not be returning to this provider.

In February 2025 I had been having what I thought were severe chronic allergies for months and…read moremonths despite taking allergy meds and doing saline rinses. I would constantly be sneezing out globs of yellow or green phlegm which was always embarrassing at work! Finally my PCP suggested I see an ENT. I had to wait a month to see Dr. Balaker which was a bit of a bummer but thankfully she was worth the wait! She saw me immediately at my appointed time and she had a caring demeanor. She did an in-office nasal endoscopy which wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all and immediately diagnosed me with chronic severe sinusitis (sinus infection that hadn't been treated or resolved for months). She's very knowledgeable and professional! She prescribed two weeks of doxycycline antibiotics to ensure it cleared out the stubborn infection and said to follow up if my symptoms don't clear up. I didn't realize how much pressure was in my face until I took the first day of antibiotics-I felt immediately better! It cleared up by week 2 and never had to go back. Overall, it was a solid, smooth experience. Thank you Dr. Balaker!

I need a rhino to fix these issues caused by the implant. Of course insurance won't pay to fix it. I wonder if my nose was purposefully messed up to get me to come back to pay for a rhino down the line. I went back a few times after voicing my concerns, but I was told that "your nose is perfectly straight inside." It's actually not. The root of my problem was never fixed... I still have serious deviation issues in my nose among other problems that were never addressed properly. I also have a hump on one side of my nose from this nasal implant. Ughhh. So frustrating. Also, what they failed to inform me is, during a septoplasty, they remove the septum cartilage (not straightening it). And if you ever need a rhinoplasty, they use your septum cartilage to form your new nose. Well, since my septum has now been removed, they either have to harvest rib cartilage or use cadaver cartilage in a functional rhinoplasty to fix my current issues caused by this surgeon. I am so unsatisfied. Be warned.

We've been with this practice for a couple of years and the last time we were due to run out of serum, we were given a form to sign and authorize insurance to renew. Despite this, they still didn't create new serum setting us back on our schedule- less than ideal when one of your kids is on a biological med to manage his asthma. Today we went to go get our shots and were advised that our serum had expired since our last injection several weeks ago but no one had advised us or had us sign the required authorization form. Even more disappointing is that we've had several conversations within the last month with Dr. Carr as well as office staff regarding our pending relocation and the process for transferring our existing serum to the new practice. Unless you want to add managing your allergy serum expirations to your already busy schedule, I suggest finding another provider until this office management improves

They could have just booked less people than they are supposed to. Because they seem like they don't care about other people valuable time.
