My experience with Dr. Tim Kelley's office was extremely disappointing. While Dr. Kelley's medical care was acceptable in the beginning, the office management and billing were awful. I was repeatedly billed for charges my insurance had already paid, and despite multiple attempts to resolve it, they sent me to collections anyway. I ultimately had to insist they contact the billing/credit department themselves to fix their own mistakes. Over the years, scheduling was always difficult. After being away for about three years, I began having serious health concerns, I tried to schedule six months in advance and was told to call back closer to the date. I carefully arranged flights, hotel, rental car, and multiple specialist appointments within a three or four -day window. Then, just two weeks before my trip, the office called to cancel because Dr. Kelley was going on vacation. No real apology. No concern. No effort to accommodate me. Just: he won't be available. When I said this was a major hardship and asked for another appointment, I was stunned by their response: they told me they did not want to continue seeing me because I had not been in for three years. Let that sink in. A former cancer patient returns with renewed symptoms and concern about recurrence, and instead of helping, they refuse care. I then asked for a referral and was given the name of a random head-and-neck doctor--not even an appropriate oncologist for my situation. The lack of compassion, professionalism, and basic human decency from this office was shocking. They even knew it and a day later tried to make up for it with an email and a phone call saying they had done my insurence research to get the right referral. "even though that is my responsibility". Un believable. Go some where else!!!! Like most Dr's these days it's just a business. Nothing more than collect money cover your ass and go home, Dr.s. these days. So sad. read more

He treated my chronic sinus issues effectively and prevented me from having to undergo sinus surgery . He listens to all of my questions, and treats his patients with care and compassion . Month of May 2026 and new patient and did not introduce himself. Told me to get an MRI and its been 5 weeks and has not returned my call for results. Found out his last day at Optum in Long Beach is the end of May so mentally checked out already. Very dry, and did not make the time to call back for my results! Now chasing the office, Radnet and everyone seems lost and unable to provide one simple result. Left 10 messages and no call back. He has a practice in Newport Beach stay FAR AWAY. They tried sending me over there now why would I make time for him if he does not make time for a patient. read more

My Dad had been seeing Dr. Kelly for years. He performed surgery on my Dads head. Went perfectly. I found him to be friendly, professional, and a really great Dr. All his front staff were super nice also. We've moved so we can't see him anymore unfortuanly. read more

I've been going to Dr. Kelley for years, including two extensive surgeries he's performed on me. He is an old school doctor who cares about his patients and is very personable. He also performed treatments on me that other doctors in his specialty neglected, and my results have always been superior. His office staff is also very nice and efficient at arranging scans, tests, surgeries, etc., and I commend them. Not trying to sound arrogant, but I feel I know what a good doctor is as my father was a doctor, who was also Chief of Staff at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach when he was in practice. I was familiar with most of the doctors in Newport Beach, and over the decades have observed who was good and who were less than sufficient. Love Dr. Kelley and Annie his PA for botox. I've read some of the negative reviews and to be honest I do not understand them. He has been amazing with my concerns and needs and always listens. I've never felt rushed at all and to be honest I felt that I was keeping him by all my questions. I know he busy so I'm glad he has Annie there to help see his Botox patients. Dr. Kelley not only gave me the bums rush in my visit he NEVER told me the risks of my facial surgery. I saw the Director of Facial Surgery at UCI yesterday and he laid out all of the risks. Dr. Kelley's surgical scheduler said they would need to do a face lift to correct the sagging skin at the same time of the tumor removal at $7.000. My new surgeon said absolutely NOT. He was very straightforward and told me that I could have facial paralysis due to the nerves in the area of the tumor and you do not do any corrective surgery until 1 year from surgery to see how the skin settles. read more

My husband and I were referred to Dr. Kelley by my husband's neurosurgeon, Dr. Robert Luis. My husband had a brain tumor that was being removed through his nose. We were all very nervous about the procedure. From the first visit talking to Dr. Kelley he put us at ease and made us feel very comfortable. Our daughter was with us at the meeting and he was attentive to all of us. I have only visited Dr. Kelley for minor issues. He appears professional, totally capable, and has good bedside manor. However I had significant problems with billing. For a brief 3 minute visit during which the Dr. addressed "swimmer's ear", and penciled a quick prescription, I was billed $1,400. 3 calls to the office manager to repeatedly explain that there was obviously an error in billing, 3 detailed conversations with billing, and a year and a half of fielding calls and letters from "collections", to which they sent my account, rather than address what was clearly an error in their billing. I brought my 94-year-old father in to Dr. Kelley for a consult on possible jaw cancer surgery. The doctor walked in, sat right next to my Dad and addressed him directly, looking him in the eye and speaking loudly because of Dad's deafness. He completely ignored me as I listened in on the conversation from an adjacent chair. And I couldn't have been more pleased. Dad and I have been to our share of doctors, dentists, ear specialists, eyeglass practitioners and surgeons, and many of them disregard my father as a human being, choosing instead to speak directly to the much younger (OK, I'm 70) offspring. When we left Dr. Kelley's office that day, my Dad turned to me in the car and said, "I like that guy. He seemed interested in curing me." Yep. That was certainly my take on the meeting. And later that week, following a four-hour surgery, Dr. Kelley told my dad -- and me -- that he'd successfully removed a large cancer-laden tumor from Dad's jawline. Not a good experience .total rip off $$$$$$ Went for a basic nose blockage consultation . The whole check up took 5 min without asking many details about my case . He sprayed my nose then inserted a camera to check and recommended a steroid for 1 month . Total time invested 5 min . They charged my insurance 450$ office visit And another 350$ procedure I have to pay half of that out of pocket Total rip off ! I wish I Checked the reviews before i went . Went to another doctor . Everything was awesome reasonable and he took his time to listen and observe and most important no steroids !!! I need a surgery for deviated septum . Dr. Kelley repaired my damaged vocal chords back in 2011 after another surgery left me talking barely above whisper. Recently I went to UCI Urgent Care for a sore inside my nostril. They ruled out MRSA and told me to put Vaseline on it. The sore persisted so I called Dr. Kelley's office and they got me in within 2 days. He scoped my nose, saw the problem and explained there are other bacteria besides MRSA that cause this condition. 10 day course of antibiotics and a topical prescription cream cleared it up and upon a follow up scope, I was clear. Thank goodness I went to Dr. Kelley before this spread further into my sinuses and eye socket. He's a specialist so not cheap, but my insurance paid most of it so I have no complaints. Kudos to Dr Kelley! I had a terrible bilateral ear infection which my primary doctor didn't see when I asked about itching terribly. After having pain & drainage all over my pillow, I went to Urgicare where a culture was taken, ears flushed & given ear drops. That night was horrible with pain down my jaw, fever with chills. Instructions read to see primary doctor or a specialist if condition worsened. I knew Dr Kelley would maybe performing surgery but Stacey who answered the phone said he could see me while he was doing paperwork/phone calls if I could come now. Fortunately for me, I had wicks places to drain infection, new drops & oral antibiotics prescribed Started feeling better in 24 hours -so very thankful Dr Kelley agreed to see me on such short notice. read more

If I could actually do negative stars for how this business and practice is run, I would. I spent 45 minutes signing a billion pieces of paper and less than 15 minutes with the doctor. He shined a tiny light in my nose and charged me in total for the 15 minutes..$567.58. COMPLETE racket! AND he just cleaned this little flashlight off with water. NO chemicals or anything. Also didn't call in prescriptions and also didn't ever read my CT that I had to get on his order. Do not see this doctor or his unethical practice. read more

Anyone out there looking for a ENT doctor you should visit Dr.Kelley! He is professional, smart and very knowledgeable. I have known Dr. Kelley for a few years now and he has always taken the time to answer questions or explain any diagnosis, procedures needed, etc. He is very involved, and passionate about helping others. We need more doctors like this. The office can be busy at times but this is because Dr. Kelley is good at what he does and he is only one person. The wait is worth it, trust me. Dr Kelly is seriously amazing. I had a broken nose and have suffered terrible allergies my whole life. Not only did he fix my breathing, removed the scar tissue that had caused 100% blockage on my right side of my nostril and the other nostril was just about non functional. I can now breath better then I ever could my entire life. He has recommended allergy medications for me that actually work. The icing on the cake is that I now look like I never had a broken nose. It's like he went back in time and made me look 10 years younger. My confidence has never been better and I can thank dr Kelly for helping me grow into this strong women now. Dr. Kelly- and everyone in his office - was amazing during my 17 year old daughter's recent surgery to remove her adenoids, turbinate bones and straighten her septum both internally and externally. The surgery went exactly as he said with little pain and quick healing. The follow up visits were very helpful and the staff followed up with care. She looks great. Dr. Timothy Kelley is an amazingly skilled surgeon and reconstructionist to the head and neck. My husband had stage 2 tongue cancer and 3 biopsies prior to finding Dr. Kelley. Now, he is 4 months post-op and sees Dr. K monthly for follow-ups. Dr. K's team fights compassionately on behalf of patients to overturn insurance denials and/or to get the best treatment plan approved. Dr. K's staff is exceptional, professional, and they follow through on emails. His scheduler is top-notch--she works her magic to get severe issues resolved and treatments scheduled. Dr. Kelley is part of a dynamic "cancer team"--treating Head/Neck cancers in OC area and beyond. He took my husband's case to the "tumor board" twice to get collegial feedback for best outcomes for my hubby! He even took texts from my husband after surgery to calm us down when we thought hubs was having a recurrence. Dr. K and his office, our excellent Hoag nurse navigator, and the entire Hoag Head and Neck team are making this difficult cancer journey a bit easier to deal with. We know that we are getting stellar care. We highly recommend this office. PS: My husband's scar from neck dissection looks perfect because Dr. K is also a facial reconstruction surgeon. I have to ditto all the bad reviews. This doctor up codes all his patient visits. Never calls to inform you of test results. Never follows up with patient in hospital. You have to complain to others before he will respond. Not sure were the good reviews came from unless those where his good days when he felt like caring. Took my daughter here for a consultation to fix her nose, which was broken a couple years ago. The office checked out insurance before hand to make sure he was covered. At the exam, he looked inside her nose with a flashlight. A month later, we receive a bill for $300 - for the portion they billed for a consultation - oh and it was high because he "scoped her nose". choose another doctor. They could have had the professional decency to explain what the potential cost to us would be - since they had already spoken to my insurance and knew what was covered. SCAM !!
