I came into this branch to open an IRA and was assisted by an IRA specialist. During the process, the specialist did not know how to properly complete the required form. Trusting that everything had been handled correctly, we submitted the paperwork so the transfer could be completed. Unfortunately, we later found out the form was filled out incorrectly, which forced us to make a second trip to the branch -- a 130-minute drive for us. When we returned, the same employee who originally helped us said she did not remember completing the form. Another staff member ended up assisting us, but instead of taking accountability, the explanations we received were inconsistent and unhelpful. We were also told that the form needed to go through an IRA specialist office, which was confusing since the original employee was presented to us as exactly that. This experience was extremely disappointing. We were planning to transfer a significant amount into this account, but the lack of knowledge, accountability, and clear communication from the staff has made us lose confidence in this branch. read more

I've been trying to open a business account with Navy Federal for TWO months and it has been nothing but frustration. You can't do it in person, everything has to go through their automated system, and the process is honestly terrible. Every member with ownership has to already have their own Navy Federal account, which they also can't open same day. Everything takes weeks just to process. For a company this big, the onboarding should not feel this outdated or difficult. I expected way better. At this point it feels like a joke and a complete waste of time. read more

This place is keeping my money hostage. I deposited my pay check yesterday and saw that no money went into my account. I then went into the bank and they told me that their policy has changed and I don't get my money for 24 hours. When I checked my bank account the next day I still didn't have my money. I was promised that I would receive it today but alas no money. I have bills to pay and they won't give me my money. Racist. Everytime I come here there's always something going on. Some situations are big, some are small, but I never get thr warm welcome synonymous with credit unions... 1. One time I went deposited "x" amount into my account and the teller loudly said, "Now your current amount is"X". I told her that that was inappropriate and she grinned. I'm not embarrassed in the numbers but that was inappropriate l. 2. I was applying for a fiance visa for my wife and uncle Sam needed documents (not a loan) proving that I made enough $$ to support my family so that we wouldnt need food stamps. I walked in to explain this and I was told by the greeter with a rude tone, "Okay! Sit over there!" Well give you what we can!" 3. Today, I walked into the bank and I saw the manager or supervisor working the front area. She just looked at me and kept on working. I wasn't greeted. There was no, "Hi, welcome to Navy Federal!" "Thank you. Come again!" 4. I tried to open an account for my wife and the lady helping us open the account never made eye contact. The experience was awkward. Very..very..awkward... I would definitely skip this branch. I opened an account under the premise that being part of a credit union would offer top notch customer service. This is not at this location... Its for Navy Federal Fraud Department. Spoke Tanisha in the Fraud Dept Team: Tanisha was rude & Unprofessional. You come to work drained & attitude don't come to work like that. You are representing Navy Federal and everyone shoukd be patient, polite & helpful. You stay home or go work at a park. We as customers call into the bank because we have an issue and we need help. We can be frustrated and or upset but that's where an expert gets on the line to fix, find, cancel change or etc in a professional way. You frustrated me. You are not professional at All. You need more training on listening to the customer not talking over the customer. I never had an horrible experience until i spoke to you today. I spoke to a Supervisor name Beth and she was so kind & professional which means Tanisha :HELPFUL if Tanisha Don't understand. Beth made me feel comfortable and I know with Beth help is on the way. I lost my debit card and they cancelled it and printed me a new one out right at the branch.

This bank has security issues. My checking account was hacked by the same scammer twice in 3 days. They're unhelpful, they replaced my debit card yet my account continues to get hacked and they haven't blocked it. I had to completely switch banks because I'm not willing to get my paycheck stolen from me and have to wait "7-10" business days to get my money back from a bank that does nothing to help prevent or alert upon fraud. i would give five, but the first time we when the lady at the door was NOT helpful. thank goodness another lady came out to help. i do not feel good sending my social security number over the internet and needed to be put on my husband's acct. i had copied the paperwork, but did not understand the forms. this second lady helped me know what to fill out and said to bring back and they would get the acct. updated. (we could not go on base bacause we did not know the dod had required you to have a mask to get on and we live in visalia) we went back the next day with paper in hand and other needed material and got the acct. updated. now all we need to do is see about refinancing our home loan at a lower rate. thank you second lady, sorry i forgot your name, for the helpful info. and understanding how i felt about sending my ss# over the internet! read more

Overall, as an institution it's a great bank. However, some people at certain locations lack knowledge on products.
