I have been going to nawaab for a very long time and I've always considered it one of my favorite restaurants. the past few months, every time I've ordered my chicken I've noticed the quality of the chicken has really gone down. in the past there were all very white non fatty pieces that were super yummy. now a lot of the peices are kind of dark and fatty. I've been a massive fan of their food for years and probably order here once a week. I'm devastated that they changed their masala sauce, especially with their Paneer tiki masala. Came in for lunch and discovered they have lunch buffet, so I went with buffet since this was my first time here. Chicken Tikka Masala and dish next to it were both delicious. I thought I didn't like Gulab Jamun dessert, until I tried it here. Wow, just wow! Their Gulab Jamun is part of the buffet, and it's absolutely amazing. Stopped in for their AYCE lunch buffet - for the price you can't complain. Everything was fresh, bright and full of flavor.

The lunch buffet was a little small and I wish it had more options, but for $13 I guess it's fair. The service was pretty fast and very attentive. The mango juice was excellent and the chicken tandoori was actually very moist. The butter chicken in the buffet was a little tough though. The paneer was also mediocre. When you come into the restaurant, you are given the option of getting access to the buffet or ordering dishes from their menu. The samosas come with 2 decently sized pieces, but they charge a fee for sharing appetizers. The dishes are a bit expensive, and while the rice portions are very generous, the size of the meat dishes is very small, considering the price. The restaurant had Indian music playing as we ate and had very nice decor, creating a relaxing atmosphere while we ate and while I would be happy to eat there again the price for the small portions makes me hesitant to recommend it to those on a budget. Overall, the food and atmosphere were great but I would only eat here on special occasions due to its high prices. read more

I ordered delivery food from Nawab via the GrubHub app on February 8, 2018. I was pretty excited to FINALLY see a place that delivered Indian food on GrubHub! I placed my order at 11:46, it arrived 12:15. So that was a pretty reasonable time. Food came sealed tubs, bagged in paper, then plastic. The delivery guy was polite and friendly. Dishes I ordered were: Chicken Tikka Masala (marinated chicken in a seasoned, rich, tomato cream sauce) Nav Ratten Korma (vegetables in a thick, seasoned almond sauce) Chicken Curry The two chicken dishes came with rice I also got a Papadum wrapped in foil with the order (thin, crispy lentil cracker appetizer) Order also came with 2 dipping sauces The chicken tikka masala has such a vibrant red color and a sweet, savory flavor with a hint of spice. The Nav Ratten Korma - mild and tasty, really love that almond sauce, it reminds me of Thai Satay sauce. It had peas, carrots, onion, zucchini... The chicken curry was also pretty good, more savory though. The Papadum was very thin and crisp, it reminded me of a seasoned Pringle chip, but not as salty. I liked it. The sauce dishes all had a hint of heat, but nothing that would send me racing for milk and crackers, lol. Price wise, well... Most Indian places are a little expensive because of the spices and cooking techniques required and I did order a lot. In the end, here was the price: Food: $37.85 Sales Tax: $ 2.63 Delivery fee: $ 5.99 Tip: 6.97 Total: $53.44 But to be fair, I could have knocked $12.96 off my order if I had picked it up I just had some extra money from a PTO cashout at work and I felt like treating myself. Disappointed with the Indian cuisine here as the biryani I ordered was abysmal and although I requested medium spice, it was not spicy whatsoever. The biryani tasted like a chicken rice with no authentic flavors or aromas. The service was subpar as after the server brought the food, he went inside the kitchen and it was difficult to find him to request pepper or more water. Considering the quality of food and the interiors inside, the menu items are overpriced and not worth it. The paleek paneer was ok, but also not spicy nor did it taste very fresh. Perhaps the other North Indian dishes would be better. The samosas were bland and dry. The only decent item was pakora however the entire meal service was a letdown. read more

Great food. Not so great customer service... After day 2 at an out of town class, I just wanted to chill in my hotel room for the night. I got on the handy dandy Yelp app, as always, and looked for someplace that delivered through Yelp/GrubHub. I found this place and started my online Yelp order. One order of mild chicken makhani, one order of medium chicken mango, one order of mild Chana masala, 4 naan, two cokes and a mango lassi. Order complete at 1814 (6:14 pm for the normal world). I got all of the appropriate messages about the order being received, etc. And then, we wait for the food fairy to arrive at my hotel. GrubHub said they would be at my hotel at 1904 (7:04 pm). At 1920, I called the restaurant asking where they were. There was a nice woman that answered initially and went to look into the problem. Then a guy came on the line with a thick accent. He told me it wasn't his problem and that I needed to call GrubHub, which I promptly did. Long story made endless... My food arrived at 1946. The food was cold. The chicken mango was split open and oozing all over the bag. The lassi was hot. The cokes were warm. GrubHub refunded the money for the chicken mango, the lassi, and the cokes. The food that was still edible was not bad. It was flavorful. The naan was mostly fresh. But, if I had to make a decision for another night I would find another restaurant with a better rating on Yelp. read more

I've ordered almost everything on the appetizer menu and have devoured it all. The prices are so reasonable i recommend getting a few things to split. Nawab is awesome! We had it for the first time ever yesterday and liked it so much, we ordered again when my in laws were over tonight! The vegetarian platter is an awesome, diverse appetizer. Their naan is perfectly fluffy! I went back for the paneer makhani a second time tonight. Highly recommend. Everyone had rave reviews about the rest of our order. For the vegetarians, we also had vegetable palou and the malai kofta. The omnivores enjoyed the chef special and shrimp nirgisi. My parents and I had a pleasant dinner here a few nights ago. We had meat samosas, chicken tikka masala (mild), aloo gobi (medium), and lamb saag (medium), served with a giant platter of perfectly cooked rice. In addition to these dishes, we had garlic naan and gobi paratha. Everyone really enjoyed their dish - we each ended up taking a to go box because it was just very filling. While I appreciate how attentive our server was in refilling our water glasses, he was perhaps too eager to clear away our plates. It wasn't close to closing and there weren't any people waiting so I'm not entirely sure what the rush was. Nonetheless, I'd be happy to return here on future visits home. read more

My wife and I ordered the vegetable samosas, regular naan and garlic naan, chicken tikka masala and chicken curry. My goodness it was soo flavorful and amazing! I love the level of medium spicy on the chicken curry, the garlic naan was different, I'm used to eating the regular but I will now order the garlic from now on. My wife and I both really enjoyed our meals and the customer service was fantastic! As for the samosas, they have a special place in my heart. We ordered the chana masala, lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala (my wife's only choice at an Indian joint) and garlic naan. Overall, I found the food to be okay. The flavors weren't as well married as I have in other Indian restaurants, but when in Bethlehem, I don't think there are a bunch of other Indian joints to visit. Would I go out of my way to eat here, probably not. But if my daughter wanted to come here for dinner or lunch, I would certainly go. Indian food is pretty limited in Bethlehem, so I'm glad this place serves good food! I always get the chicken tikka masala which never fails to disappoint. I also typically get an order of naan, and it's usually spot on- slightly crispy edges, soft and easy to tear apart, and flavorful. The portion sizes are pretty generous too and I'm always able to get at least two meals out of one entree.
