Samosa Chaat, Sauces and Green Salad

This review is for a delivery we received. We ordered their butter chicken, samosa chaat, garlic naan and what was supposed to be their lamb tikka kahari. My problem is that it definitely was not lamb. It was gamey as all hell and being Jamaican, I can tell goat meat a mile away because it's actually one of my favourite proteins in west Indian cuisine but it's hella seasoned which kills the gamey aftertaste. Lamb is also one of my most favourite proteins as well. I love the flavor of it, whether it's a chop of a leg cut. Everything else was great. Their samosa chaat has chick peas, spices and smashed pieces of samosa. It's perfection. The butter chicken was great, as was the naan. That "lamb" was inedible. It tasted like it had been walking on a farm two seconds prior to being cooked and delivered to our house and again, there was no lamb in that dish and that was a disappointment. We loved it when we dined on premises but if I have to worry about getting what I ordered and paid for just because it's take away, I don't want to go back there. No one likes a bait and switch.

I had tried this place a few years ago, pre pandemic, and was pleased to finally have a nice sit down Pakistani restaurant. After that I ordered take out a few times. Recently after not going there or ordering take out for a few years, I decided to order delivery. I ordered the chicken Karahi & the kebab masala. The Kebab masala was just ok, nothing special at all, and the chicken Karahi was definitely NOT Karahi, it was just some kind of chicken in masala. To be honest the Naan & salad were better than both dishes. Not sure if they are under new management or have a new cook, but we definitely did not enjoy the food this time around. Delivery was on time and the restaurant followed my instructions ( I asked for the chicken Karahi to be made with boneless chicken).

The incomparable Nawab. An absolute must in Westchester County. My husband and I have been coming here for about 8 years. The food is delicious and the service is delightful. Our favorites are the naan bread, the mango lassi, the mixed platter, haki chili chicken and the nawab chicken. Don't miss it!

I can't begin to describe my satisfaction with this place! First and foremost, the food! Why?! Cause it's AMAZING!! Now, I do love Indian cuisine so I admit my bias, however that also gives me permission to admit my desire for satisfying flavor. Well, this place provides it! I've been twice now and both times a hit. First time I had a vegan dish which was delightful with a punch of spice. Second time had butter chicken and well (insert drool emoticon). All of the food is home cooked. Try their naan and you will know exactly how I know this! Due to the special care that goes into home cooking, expect a bit of a delay. I order in advance to eat in the restaurant (insert mad scientist emoticon)!!! The restaurant is cute, a bit cold, and always plenty of space. The music they play is incredible! Frankly I'd stay just to jam out. The waitress is great! Nothing more to say on that. This place has become a staple in my yelp book!

This was our first time trying Indian food and to say the least we were not disappointed. The food was very flavorful and fresh. And the ambiance was lovely as well. Very lovely service and generous servings. We were a party of 3 and had enough to take home. Chicken & Veggie Samosas: very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Generous fillings & comes with an assortment of chutneys and salad for the table. The veggie samosas are pretty spicy. Chicken Tikka Masala: my favorite dish of the evening. Amazing flavorful and succulent chicken. The sauce is delicious with a subtle spice. Butter Chicken: lovely sauce again, very fresh and juicy chicken. Less flavorful than the tikka masala but also a solid choice. More of a very subtle creamy sauce. Daal: very well seasoned and prepared. Garlic Naan: DELICIOUS! We literally couldn't get enough fresh garlic and seasoning served hot and fresh. Mango Lassi: interesting but also very nice. Strong mango & yogurt flavor but not to heavy like a smoothie. Overall we were a party of 3, shared the meal and still had enough to take home.

This is considered samosa chaat to nawab owners....
    Itsme I.

I would give this place no stars! This is their samosa chaat.....no samosas just these freezer made triangles...this is a joke! This cost me 8 dollars! No yogurt no seasoning just plain chickpeas with these small things!

Love the food here and they usually deliver on time. But WTF with this dessert? Paid $4.50 for 2 pieces of gulab jaman. This one is a first. They should have called to say they were out.

Since we enjoyed it so much, we decided to visit in person and check it out for ourselves. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by two friendly staff members. We ended up dining in a large room that seemed set up for a dinner party or special event. Soft Indian music played in the background, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, organized and nicely decorated. We also noticed that the location doubles as a catering hall, with several different spaces available for private events. The service was provided with a smile. The staff was attentive and accommodating, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy at the tiime; there were only a few other patrons dining all taking their leftovers home. The food was even more delicious. We ordered samosas, garlic/chili naan, and Chicken Tikka Masala. All was so flavorful and yum. There is plenty of parking right outside, and the restaurant is conveniently located across from a shopping area, making it easy to find and access. Overall, it was a nice and calm dining experience, and we would definitely return.

The Spinach Soup was a great opener--smooth, well-seasoned, and full of bright, comforting flavor. Shrimp Balchao was the highlight. Sautéed with ginger, garlic, and tamarind, it delivered a perfect mix of heat, tang, and richness. Bold, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. The Garlic Naan came out fresh from the tandoor--soft, lightly charred, and packed with garlic. Ideal for soaking up all the sauces. Mutter Paneer, with tender paneer and green peas in a spiced masala, was creamy and fragrant without feeling too heavy. A classic dish executed really well. Nani's Chicken Curry featured tender chicken simmered in a flavorful blend of spices and onions, with rich, layered flavors that built with each bite. Final Take: A standout lunch with great service and thoughtfully prepared dishes. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. Definitely a spot I'll return to.

It came with yogurt on the side and a regular Coca-Cola. The waiters were very fast to deliver my food, and they were always attentive to when I asked for the bill and a bag to take the rest of my food home. What a wonderful spot for you to explore…read more We wanted to take our friend out to dinner for his birthday he likes a low key style. We called a head since it was 6 of us to see if we could do a walk in or if we needed a reservation , and both options are available which is a plus. Dress attire is your choice we dressed regular nothing fancy just day to day hang out style. We were greeted kindly by the staff sat down handed a set of dominoes to play with while we waited for our food and drank some water. The place is decorated nicely and you can see the vision in mind definitely. We placed our orders and I'm not gonna lie I came in thinking the food was gonna be eh but I was blown away by the flavors. For drinks we ordered a spicy sunset, pretty young thing and cokes. The spicy sunset is a nice strong drink and is rimmed nicely with just the right amount is tajin as you drink it; it has a nice smoky after taste to it definitely was delicious. The pretty young thing was a nice citrusy drink with a little salty aftertaste, which balanced out the flavor nicely. The cokes were not water down they were good as well. For food we ordered the Cuban sandwich with parmesan fries, butter chicken wings, butter chicken macaroni and cheese, steak nachos grande, butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mom's butter chicken platter. This was a wonderful Spanish and Indian style combination of flavors. Definitely my first time having this type of food and wow what a mind blowing experience. Not one person in the table complained or had anything negative to say about their food. We all tried each other's food and each bite we exchanged to try was delicious and better than the last . The Cuban was delicious but the parmesan fries stole the show from that meal it was paired so lovely who would've thought those flavors would've mixed nicely. The buttery chicken wings oh my God dripping with goodness each bite was legit finger licking good lol. The butter chicken macaroni very very delicious. Had a nice cheese pull and a good balance could not stop eating it. The steak nachos were delicious I wish It had a little more meat, but it was not bad. The butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries also delicious and the fries were cooked so nicely that it was crispy and soft at the same time per bite. The mom's butter chicken platter was delicious they gave the right amount of sauce, the pita bread was delicious and soft, the salad that it was paired with was good too the rice was decently portioned. Everything was definitely tasty. Not one complaint of any of the meals. We did not wait long for the food. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I want to come back to try more things in the menu that's how good the food was and our group agreed to also come back with us. This spot is definitely a place to try. They have a beautiful quote right near the bar that really spoke to us, especially during these times it said "you are exactly where you need to be." It makes you stop for a second and really take it in and just live in the moment ... especially living in New York, where you have to be always go go go fast fast fast. This was really beautifully written thank you to the staff who made our night and our friend's birthday special we'll see you soon.

Service was fast as it was not much people in the establishment when we went.

Chicken tikka masala was a bit oiler than I'm used to. They didn't have any plain rice available as a side order for the curry, so they suggested the Friday special rice which was chicken and chickpeas and ginger etc, unfortunately this had definitely been sitting a while and rice was pretty mushy. The staff were pretty friendly, and I liked how the dining area was decorated. $22 for the two dishes and naan (plenty of leftovers that i took home although not sure how well the rice will be tomorrow)
