I was there for a Yelp elite event what I learned they are 2nd generation owners since 1968 in nyc . Amazing people great place nestled in the Bronx with plenty of street parking of Uber if you are planning to drink. Northern Indian food dine with twist of what's popular in nyc . Just plain delicious. Enjoy their turmeric rice sauces tandoori wings everything is delicious.

Warm and inviting but, not traditional. This family owned and run business is filled with delicious surprises. Don't get me started on the melt in your mouth flavor bursting lamb . The naan bread needs a caution label like you'd find on a pack of cigarettes because, I'm ready to take the drive back to the bronx to get some more .

My best friend and I recently went to eat here. It was both our first time eating Indian food. It was amazing!! The owner Nandy was a lovely host and made everyone feel at home. Her and husband own the restaurant. We ordered veggie samosas, yummy. They were baked not deep fried. We shared mix grill tandoori, it came with rice and we also ordered nan bread. Everything was delicious and fresh. I also ordered a mango margarita. The drinks were super delicious Nandy was so sweet she gave me rice pudding complimentary to take home! Great hospitality! We will be going back.

I loved Neem the first go around, but after giving them 3 other try's, my taste buds just didn't agree anymore. After ordering 3 different chicken dishes and being disappointed by dryness, I am calling it quits. There are a few appetizers that I love and will return for, but butter chicken, tandoori chicken and items of that nature are off the list.

I was excited about visiting this place. It was in my neighborhood, and it's been on my radar for a while. After having some curry from this thai restaurant I recently visited, I wanted to try some other curries from different cultures. So I took the opportunity to visit this place among the many Indian restaurants in my area. The restaurant is small but beautiful. I really love the decor of the place and how the tables are set up with its own decor, even the bar area is cute, with such a beautiful chandelier hanging from above. The customer service was ok, and because I wasn't dining in, I'm sure it would have been better had I stayed, but I was ordering to go. The guy who was assisting me did help with all of the questions I had, and after many questions, this is what I ordered. Appetizer- Poori & Shrimp Entree- Chicken Curry (Vindaloo) spicy Drink - Indian iced tea I have to say, I love me some spicy food, but that chicken curry was FIRE! I like spicy food with flavor. This was just too spicy for no reason, all that spice with no flavor. It was a disappointment. I will say I enjoyed the Poori and Shrimp, more of the Poori, I think the shrimp was overcooked and to small, and also from the pictures I viewed of Yelp, my Poori looked nothing like the previous Poori others may of have had. My iced tea was just ok, as well. It tasted like something I could have made at home. I probably should have gone with the coffee, but I really wanted to try the tea. So my overall opinion of the place is that it's OK. I'm not running to make a return, and I didn't like that the menu has a price for one thing, but you pay another because everything you buy from here is taxed. EVERYTHING! I'm not even sure if I want to give a thumbs up, but I will say I approve of a visit. Happy Yelping!

I got the chicken and lamb over rice combo, and it was exactly what I needed: hot, flavorful, and super filling. The chicken was tender, the lamb had great seasoning, and the rice was fresh. Throw on that white sauce and hot sauce, and you've got yourself a comfort meal that hits the spot at any hour. Portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable -- especially for NYC. Whether it's 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., this spot is clutch for hospital workers, night owls, or anyone in need of a solid, satisfying bite near Montefiore.

The food also didn't match what was advertised. I ordered a salad expecting what was shown on the menu, but received slimy arugula, strong-smelling feta, and dry grape tomatoes. When I brought it up, I was told the system has been like this for "2 months," yet the online and in-person menus are still not updated and don't match Uber Eats or what is actually served. The chicken over rice was overly sauced and served cold, and the photos online are outdated and misleading. When I tried to address the issue, I was told to "just take the tomatoes off," which didn't solve the problem since that wasn't what I ordered. The staff was also dismissive and rushed the conversation, making it feel like the issue was being blamed on me. Overall, there's a lack of consistency, poor communication, and misleading menu information. I won't be ordering again. I'd recommend Space Grill instead--the food is much better, though they close around 11pm.

I first heard about it several years ago when…read morethey first opened in the Arthur Ave neighborhood - standing out as a traditional Albanian restaurant amongst the sea of Italian eateries. Fast forward to the present day, and they have gained considerable attention. The restaurant has made the NYT's Top 100 Restaurants in NYC list for the past 4 years, they have expanded to two (soon three) other locations, and is a favorite among the social media and celeb crowd (this is allegedly one of Dua Lipa's favorite restaurants in the city). That being said, we thought it would be a great spot to celebrate a family member's birthday - so I booked a table and off we went. Çka Ka Qëllu is located on Hughes adjacent to the back entrance of the Arthur Ave Retail Market. The restaurant is gorgeous - it's pretty spacious with three main dining rooms. The decor is a showstopper in itself - the exposed stone walls coupled with the abundance of artwork and old world accents placed throughout the dining area make this seem more like a museum than a restaurant. The ethnic music that is piped throughout the restaurant completes the feel. I honestly couldn't stop looking around. There menu is pretty expansive - most of the items I had not heard of before, but it's also approachable as they spell it out for you in the description what each dish is. We were a party of seven, so to make things easy we aligned to share everything. My brother and I decided to take lead and order items from each section. We decided to start with the ajvar, sausage dip, and tarator. These were all delicious; essentially dips, they all had great flavor and were paired with hot crusty bread mmmm. We then got a bunch of other dishes: leçenik, burek, fili, fasule with smoked meat, mantia, mazë e zier, and a shop salad. As with the dips, everything here was delicious. It's hard to pick the standouts because everything was so good - honest food, full of flavor and depth. Okay you twisted my arm - if I had to choose, my favorites were the burek and the mazë e zier. I love a good burek, and this one was top drawer. The pull on the mazë e zier was out of this world, yet it was easy to maneuver with great flavor. We ended the meal with one of their grilled dishes - namely the mixed meat combo. We chose five meats and they paired them with some vegetables and potato. At risk of sounding like a broken record - this was delicious as well. Service was awesome - everyone was welcoming and the food came out at a good pace. Overall, Çka Ka Qëllu is an absolute yes - the food, the decor, and the service were all aces. The hype is real and they deserve all the accolades they have received. Goes without saying, but I would definitely return for another meal - take me back now!

Well not only was the pepper shrimp spicy but it was the best I've ever had. The shrimp was so big plumped and juicy. I didn't expect it to be nicely coated with such delicious flavor. My mouth is still watering as I write this review. I paid a little over $17, but it didn't bother me because it was fresh shrimp and veggies and of the amount of food I received was a lot. I mean they could have threw in a free small beverage to go along with it, but I wasn't mad, because this is NYC. I've paid higher prices for food that had less amounts and not even worth the price, but anyway I digress. The restaurant is quite small but big enough for you to stay and dine if you wanted. Along with great customer service, and delicious food a girl couldn't ask for anything more. Not to mention they were playing music to bop your head along with. I don't know if I would return for anything else on the menu right away because I would be hooked to buying the pepper shrimp again. When I get past that I would try something else. Overall, my meal was five stars but since I've only had one amazing item, and I don't know yet If it would be consistent , Im giving them four stars. I think they are worth visiting. We ordered the Guyanese Chicken with Lo Mein, Jerk Chicken Sliders, and the Guyanese Fried Chicken. The Guyanese Fried Chicken was very flavorful but overfried. The chicken had a bone, and as I ate, it fell apart, which told me it was overfried. Next, I tried the Chicken with Lo Mein, and the noodles were overcooked and lacked flavor. The chicken was good and tasted like baked chicken. It had good flavor, but it wasn't out of this world. My daughter had the Jerk Chicken Sliders, and she said they were okay. The goat curry was pretty good and hit the spice profile with it not too spicy. The curry had a good portion of meat and not all bones which was great. We really enjoyed this dish. We also got a small okra for $4 and that too was really tasty and not runny. My son got the chicken briyani for $10 and while it looked so good behind the glass, the taste was just average as the texture is a bit off. The staff asked if we wanted heated up our foods as he said it was just room temperature. Surprised it wouldn't be kept hot in the first place but anyway we said yes and he microwaved for a few which I'm glad we made that choice.
