My first visit was ok but my 2md visit today was a total disaster. The young woman wasn't accommodating even after I told her I was uncomfortable and (invisible) handicapped. Im very tall and needed neck support as I had on my last visit and she didnt want to move me to a better chair. One eyebrow is skinny AF and the other looks fat and unfinished. I was very clear about what I wanted and clearly she chose to do her own thing. Now I'm stuck with BAD brows for the next month or so until these grow back. I have continued to come here ~1 month and this continues to be the best spot for eyebrow threading in the area. Everyone on staff is amazing, I have my favorite estheticians but am generally happy to sit in whoever's chair is available. I got my best friend to try this place out a couple years ago, and she has since moved to Boston and often complains how she hasn't found a threading place on par with Namita's yet. Today was my first time coming here and my very first time getting my brows threaded! I asked for Rene based on other reviews and was so glad I did because she was lovely and professional. It hurt like a B!! but it was so worth it! It was fast and came out great. They also took me right in as a walk in. I'm not someone who knows anything about brows or makeup and she explained some things to me after the threading was done which was super helpful and made me feel seen. She was empathetic and gentle when I was wincing and tearing from the pain. I definitely will be coming back and this will be my go to brows spot from now on! Also you can't beat the price!! I been coming to Namita's since they were located a few blocks further down Santa Monica Blvd before relocating to their current location. I never request a specific worker and just roll the dice with whoever is available and they always get it right. But I came in just now and the lady who attended me completely ruined my eyebrows. she trimmed them (which is fine and i usually say yes to this when asked) but i think she's just more heavy handed and me having thinner brows definitely didn't help and she completely chopped off parts of my eyebrows and now i have a weird gap in my right eyebrow. obviously eyebrows aren't supposed to be twins but they're supposed to at least be sisters lol but she left them really uneven.. i asked her to fix them because they looked uneven and she did but then said she couldn't take more off from the bottom because my hairs were sparse and i admit they are a bit sparse. but the actual reason she couldn't fix them further is because she knew if she took off anymore hairs from the bottom of my right eyebrow it would look more uneven thanks to the weird gap she created when she was trimming my eyebrows. i usually go in with tweezers after the service to remove a few more stray hairs cause i like my brows a bit thinner but i can't even do that this time since again she left a weird gap in my right eyebrow when she trimmed them. a bit devastated and the only reason i gave it 3 stars instead of 4 is despite coming here for years and never having this issue is because its ** $17 for eyebrows with cash. $1 extra if you pay with card for services under $20 **. obviously eyebrow threading is a luxury but seems insane to charge $1 for services less then $20 when eyebrow threading is their lowest price they have available and $17 is just a bit pricey for eyebrow threading .. anyways, maybe just avoid the lady if you have thinner brows since she seemed to be a bite more heavy handed and seemed to struggle with mapping my brows. i'm just going to give her the benefit of the doubt that it's because my brows are more sparse/thin because i almost always have a good experience at this shop lol and no other shop gets my eyebrows right. she was a shorter lady (no taller than 5'0) maybe in her 30s and had a mask on and sat me at the seat closest to the register. i didn't catch her name but i'll probably just avoid her going forward. read more

I think my second most complimented physical feature are my eyebrows. Keeping them not looking like Chewbacca Big Foot Cousin It is intricate to maintaining these things so I was on the hunt for a great eyebrow threading spot when I moved to LA. I searched high and low, but just had no luck. Then I tried Namita's and was sold! They have a good amount of metered parking on Santa Monica, I always am able to find a spot. When you walk in, go up to the front desk and write your name on the clipboard. I was confused my first time in and just sat down...so learn from me, lol! I haven't ever had to wait very long and the threading doesn't take more than ten minutes. I've been really happy with their work. Clean lines, a good job getting the stragglers, not thinning them out too much, and somehow this is the least painful threading spot I've been to. Eyebrow threading is $12...be kind and tip a few dollars. Also, bring cash. $15 for some clean looking brows is well worth it in my opinion! Over the last 3 weeks, 10 people have told me that my eyebrows look amazing... TEN!!! I've been going to Namitas for years and A month ago I went and signed in. I never request a specific lady because all of them are great. That day, I got paired with Annie and THANK GOD I did!!! Annie is the ONLY person I trust with my eyebrows now!!! When Annie and I met, she was so nice and professional. She asked what I wanted done and I explained I wanted my full face plus jaw. I pointed to a couple spots that sometimes get missed and she totally understood - the babyyy peach fuzz on my face is black and I hate it. Annie totally got what I was saying. As Annie was threading, she helped me understand my hairline, my eyebrow length, my sideburns, my cheek bones, and facial structure. I agreed with everything Annie said and I thought "Wow, I trust her. I'm going to let her do her thing." And guys, let me tell you... MY EYEBROWS HAVE NEVER LOOKED BETTER. I feel like I look better! I had another lady, not Namita, so maybe next time I will request her. The lady who did my eyebrows did a good job cleaning up but not the best job trimming. I tried to make an appointment with Namita but I wasn't able to receive any services from her. I arrived 15 minutes early (which I won't add to my wait time since this was at-will) and then 25. My appointment was at 12pm and she didn't arrive at 12:25 pm so I walked out. I understand mishaps may happen but at the same time, I feel that my time was not respected. The other technicians let me know she would be arriving late due to traffic but they asked me twice if I was sure about my appointment time. I'm disappointed by their question as our conversation was saved on Yelp and it felt like I was being held responsible for the long wait time when I was not at fault. (Next time, just apologize to the client). I've been here several times before. One technician did a wonderful job (which I can't recall her name, hence why I did not book with her again) but another other one messed up my eyebrows and did a bad job at tinting my eyebrows. It just looks like i didnt even get my eyebrows done at all - she threaded more of my forehead than eyebrows. Also left with a bunch of hairs under my eyes that she did not take the time to clean up.
