I am so glad to have found Nicholas as a recommended local electrician around the area. He is very nice and knowledgeable of how the circuit breakers work and how to trace wires. I live in an old home with floor outlets and had gotten one of them replaced with a new wire. Nick was very kind to even replace the outlet cover, though I was OK with the old cover. He explained how metal covers are risky, so felt much safer. Additionally, Nicholas was thoughtful, offering his best deal. He even came back on the same day free of charge, when I called to ask about an internal issue. If I need another service, then I would definitely call Nicholas again.

JUST THE FACTS MA'AM: I reached out to NC Electric via the Yelp app and got a reply from Nicolas within an hour. After sharing details of the project (replacment of an electrical box on the exterior of the house and installation of a Ring floodlight camera) with Nicolas, he provided me with an estimate. The price quoted was the second lowest of the 7 estimates I received. We agreed to move forward and coordinated the day/time via the app. Nicolas arrived on time on the appointed day. The job took about 2 hours. During the installation, a small piece of siding broke off. Nicolas fixed it. We also discovered that a bracket needed to install the Ring floodlight was missing. Nicolas went to Home Depot, found the part, and completed the installation. Upon completion, Nicolas confirmed that the device was working properly and cleaned up the work area. MY TWO CENTS: I'm very happy to have found NC Electric. Throughout the process, Nicolas was communicative and responsive. If I could, I'd give him another star for going out of his way to get the part needed to complete the job. His pricing for this job was also very competitive and reasonable. Nicolas installed a new porch light fixture and switched out an outlet. He's very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He's inconstant communication and was able to stop by a little earlier. He purchased the outlet that was needed and installed it with new wiring. My pet peeve is when workers leave a mess, but he was very diligent asked where he can throw the trash. I'm relieved to find NC Electrical here on Yelp. This company is gold! There was an excessive amount of electrical work needed in my old 1954 house. Remarkably it was all done in one day! Nicolas cane right away we discussed all the work, he analyzed the electric issues and made great recommendations on how to correct them. I was literally using extension cords for the past two years in two of my bedrooms due to a bad (cut) wire. I also desperately needed extra outlets in the garage & patio. NC Electric crew came added a security camera, prepared electrical extra lines for two patio fans . Nicolas added the proper new lines through the attic for three outlets in my old garage! And he also fixed the bad lines in the bedrooms!! I finally have working electrical sockets and can remove all the extension cords! His teammates are professional, polite,knowledgeable ,and very tidy. I was really happy how all the work was left clean tidy everything patched . Nicholas from NC Electric is my new forever electrician! Prompt service, communicates clearly about the problem. His quote was not padded and he charged me only for what I needed and saved me $1600 (compared to another quote). He showed me exactly what he did, showed me the damaged areas and fixed those. He showed me the codes on is monitoring devices so that I could see that everything was working. He also installed a central surge protector to protect the entire house from an electrical fire and added a waterproof cover to my outdoor electrical outlet. I will definitely use this company again. read more

I'm very happy with the job Nicholas did in adding a 20A circuit to my existing panel for some exterior GFCI outlets. He communicated great and arrived at the time he said he would. He also noticed a previous electrician used the wrong amperage breaker for my car charger so he replaced that as well. After he was finished, he cleaned up and it looked like he had never been here. I'll be using Nicolas for any future electrical needs. read more

Originally called as we lost electricity in half of our house. NC Electric came out the same day and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. We had a very old sub-panel that we had been thinking about replacing, so NC Electric provided a reasonable quote and we agreed to the work. Came on the scheduled day and completed the work at the agreed upon price. Overall, received excellent service. The storm we had in SoCal left the city of LA in a power outage and luckily enough, it only took out some parts of my house, so I was without electricity for a few days in those rooms and after calling various qualified technicians who had unnecessarily high prices, I found this company. Nicholas the owner responded very quickly and came out to do a troubleshooting, he didn't just troubleshoot he made sure to find each and every issue connected to the parts of the house that did not have electricity, he gave me a reasonable and honest offer within the price range what it should cost for a job like that. I'll tell you what, they don't make them like this in LA no-more, I mean, honesty and integrity (two words that are as ancient in LA as the word equality). What made this location stand out from other EV charging stations was the 24/7 security and access to restrooms and a lounge area. As a woman charging late at night, the security presence made a huge difference. It made the station feel safe and monitored, which is honestly something a lot of late-night charging locations lack. The restroom access and lounge were also a big plus since charging can take a while. Unfortunately, those features are gone now. The restrooms are only available during "business hours," and the 24/7 security appears to have been removed. That completely changes the experience for those of us who charge at night. To be blunt, those were the things that made this station worth coming to. Without security and without restroom access late at night, it's really just another charger, and not necessarily one I'll go out of my way to use anymore. It's disappointing to see a location that used to feel safe and accommodating move in the opposite direction. I hope BP Pulse reconsiders these changes, because they mattered more than management probably realizes.

Located in the Chase parking lot, it's a pretty convenient public charger for West Covina locals…read more There's not many high speed chargers to be honest in our local area, if this isn't the only one. Although there are 3 locations for Tesla vehicles, which owners should use and not the EVgo public chargers. They have chargers they can exclusively use and Tesla owners still seem to use these too. Not frequently, but gosh darn, just be a considerate EV owner. There are times where I've had to wait up to an hour to get a charge, which is pretty rare, as long as you go on the app to see if they're in use. So 5pm on a Monday evening, there's 1 charger available. I haven't seen a steady or consistent timeframe when these are usually available, as my lease offers a complimentary 30-minute charge at another public charger. The area is a bit sketchy. But feel pretty safe locked up in my car. During daylight it is pretty convenient and safe. If you bank at Chase, it's obviously convenient. But don't go too late in the dark. I wouldn't want to be pulling money out of the ATM in the dark. Haven't had any issues with any of these chargers. At times, users may pull up behind users plugged into the 100kW ones and simultaneously use the other plug. I just don't think it's safe to do so, or even rated to be charging 2 cars simultaneously. Plus you pull away energy from the initial user that was plugged it. I'm pretty sure it slows down their charge. So don't do it. No matter how convenient it may be to you to get some juice into your car, it's inconsiderate and disrespectful for the initial user. Plus when the initial user is done, they would have to unplug too to get out of their way to keave. There are 2 plugs for the 350kW chargers, which are advertised as simultaneous chargers. I'm currently on one, and I was pulling as high as 180kW as a solo user on the charger. I went from 20% to 70% in 15 minutes!

We were given only one plate. We were only charged for one, but because I was paying for four people and the total was already high, I didn't catch the mistake at checkout. Rather than make my 89-year-old father wait while everyone else ate, my mother split her plate with him. Then we realized they had prepared the eggs incorrectly. We ordered over-medium eggs specifically because my father loves the runny yolk. They served them over-well. He didn't realize the mistake until he had eaten much of the egg white and cut into the yolk. I told the server, and she initially said they would replace the eggs. Then she returned and told us they needed to TAKE THE HALF-EATEN EGGS BACK FROM HIS PLATE before they would give him the eggs we originally ordered. I was stunned. My father had already eaten much of the egg white. The remaining egg was sitting on top of the chilaquiles and beans he was eating. They wanted my 89-year-old father to remove the half-eaten remnants of their incorrectly prepared egg and hand them back before they would replace it with what we had ordered in the first place. I explained that the error was theirs, that we had not received what we ordered, and that my father had already eaten part of the egg before discovering the yolk was completely cooked through. The server still refused to replace the eggs unless we surrendered the half-eaten ones. What exactly were they planning to do with a partially eaten egg from a customer's plate other than throw it in the trash? That interaction was so petty, unsanitary-feeling, and inhospitable that it overshadowed the entire meal. The coffee didn't help. It was lukewarm and extremely bitter. Then there is the tipping system. You pay and are prompted for a tip before receiving your food or experiencing any service. We carried our own drinks to the table and got our own water. After the missing order, incorrectly prepared food, and argument over surrendering a half-eaten egg, I genuinely wondered what I had tipped for. Ringing up the order? Mistakes happen in restaurants. A missing plate or incorrectly cooked egg would not have prompted me to write this review. It was the way the mistake was handled. When your restaurant makes an error, replace the food. Don't argue with a customer over a half-eaten egg, especially while an 84-year-old woman is sharing her meal with her 89-year-old husband because his order was never placed (though requested). It was one fiasco after another. We will never return.
