I have a soft spot for drive-in theaters. This was the first time in years and I enjoyed it. I used to go all the time when I was a kid in Texas. The cool thing is you can enjoy the movie without someone kicking your seat or some stranger ruining the movie. I was able to kick my feet up and recline in my seat. You turn your radio to a particular station to hear the movie. Feel free to crank that shit up as loud as you like. It was only $8 for an adult ticket. It's nice being able to pick up food and eat it during the movie. There's a pizza joint and a restaurant called Venus with a drive thru nearby. Just make sure you get some concession items to keep the drive-in in business. read more

My favorite place to go in summer! So grateful we have a drive-in close by. They do a nice job also. Concessions are good, staff is friendly, and prices reasonable. They have bug spray for sale as well as radios to rent if you need one to hear the movie. We have taken advantage of both. Would be an awesome place to do a group outing (church, youth, corporate). It is better than other drive-ins we've been to. I highly recommend. Nothing beats the drive-in on a perfect summer night! read more

Have been going to the drive in since I was little. Great price and you get to see not one but 2 movies! Tickets are about the same as the actual movie theater but you get 2 for the price of one! What a great deal! Movies start about 10 PM and plan on being there until at least 2 am maybe even longer depending on movie run times. You can bring your own food and drinks but if you prefer the concession stand they do have a lot to offer. I do recommend getting your snacks as soon as possible so they are guaranteed fresh as i have gotten some not so good popcorn before and some stale pretzels in the middle of the first showing. The bathrooms can be kind of gross, I try to use the single rest room they just built as it is usually the cleanest. read more

US 23 Drive In. First, I would like to day that it is a good thing to have a drive in in the Flint area! I remember the Miracle Twin and the WestSide Drive In on Corunna Road and Linden Road. Took The family to US 23 last night - they actually had TWO movies, NOT kids movies, we thought could potentially be worth seeing? Arrived early and parked - WISH others would be as considerate. Amazing how many morons drive around with lights on and then park and re-park, with ALL lights on, multiple times interrupting the movie for the rest of us??? We walked to the concession stand and bought several snacks for the night. Rather expensive but, we were willing to support the drive in! The video game area was horrible. No one wants to play virtual tennis??? Wish they had vintage games to play like Pac Man or Space Invaders or maybe a couple pinball machines! Walking back to our car, we noticed a LOT of pet poo EVERYWHERE on the grounds!? Customers are allowed to bring pets to the drive in. NONE are asked or required to pick-up after their pets so, be careful where you walk!!! The movie sound was an issue for us - we brought three different portable radios and none would receive a clear signal from the drive in? So, we rented a radio from the drive in concession - which required a $3.00 fee PLUS a $20.00 cash deposit PLUS leaving your drivers license. The concession radio was USELESS too and had a LOT of static!!! We had to run our car all night to use the car radio so, we could hear the movie! Not the best experience for a family night out but, not the worst either??? Attention people - you do NOT have to drive around the drive in with your lights on all the time - especially when parking - especially AFTER the movie has started!!! This took us on a trip to the past! Kids played football and catch in front of the big screen until it was dark enough outside for the movie to start. Great view from almost any parking spot. Huge concessions with some arcade games and bathrooms with plenty of stalls. We brought our truck and filed it with pillows and blankets for a comfy visit. We also used our mini speaker hooked up to our ipod for great outdoor sound. $8 for a double feature. Excellent value for a family night out. Many people brought lawn chairs and even their dogs. I am very surprised this has not been reviewed yet. I thought something ecelectic and old-school like this would be yelpified al over the place. After hearing much talk about it, I finally got a chance to come here with some friends to see Batman III and Dark Shadows. I had never been to a drive-in before, and so was very curious as to what it would be like. There are three screens, I believe, each of which show a different set of two movies (ours was Batman and Dark Shadows). The first thing that struck me about this place was the overwhelming cheapness - six bucks for two movies??? Crazy! If nothing else this is a good way to keep up on new movies without breaking the bank. After we paid at the little tollooth-esque ticket counter ($6 per person), we were directed to one of two rows. This theater is set up such that all oversized vehicles (trucks, vans, SUVs) must be in the first two and last two rows, which prevents them from blocking everyone else's view. We found a decent spot and parked; I think my biggest complaint about this place is that it is very easy to get stuck with a mediocre, WAY off-center spot, such that you are looking at a parallelogramish screen and everything is warped. Luckily ours was not bad. We broke out the snacks and food - you are not allowed to openly drink alcohol here, although that does not seem to discourage people from bringing it. Also, the concessions stand has a lot of stuff at not horrible prices, and 30 minutes-ish from closing they had a 2-for-1 sale on all hot food. Not sure if they do that every night - but it was nice. Burgers aren't exactly gourmet though. Whaddya expect. Batman started at 9; audio is done my FM broadcast, so you can use the radio in your car or bring a separate handheld radio. As an audiophile I was slightly frustrated at the audio experience of sitting outside the car listening, but depending on your system it could be amazing if sitting in the car. However, batteries do die... but they offer jump service after the movie. Not sure if it's free though. In hindsight, it would have been a good idea to bring a handheld radio and good headphones, as the signal was pretty good. Batman was great. Dark Shadows wasn't bad. There was a guy who was on his phone for like 20 min straight, cursing up a storm loud enough that people many rows over could hear. We went to talk to him and he calmed down. I imagine odd things like this happen from time to time when phone usage is not discouraged. Overall it was a very fun experience - I'd say the most important thing is to come early and come prepared. Come early to get a good spot. And if you don't fancy sitting in your car, bring lawnchairs or recliners or couches or whathaveyou, and if you like sound quality don't forget the radio and headphones. For the Drive In experience it's fantastic, there's hardly competition in Michigan so take what you get and learn to love it. However, I have travelled to almost all the Drive Inn's left in Michigan throughout the past 10 years, and this one is not up to par. It's disappointing to probably everyone that the speakers on the poles are gone, forcing you to either rent a boom box for under $5 or risk your car dying if you do not bring your own stereo. It always brings a smile on my face to see the dancing fries, popcorn, and hotdog at intermission but when I went and used the bathroom almost half of the stalls were completely clogged - really gross. There really needed to be someone else there, the girl at the desk seemed over whelmed. Telling customers when the cheese (push a button it comes out) was broken "I'll get to it when I can!" Thought the food was over priced - when isn't it anymore. But It was fun, they can (SHOULD) fix some things however. read more

Perfect place for a date or just to hang out with family and friends. Right next to Kroger so you can grab all your snacks for a good price too. Such a fun change of scenery! I hadn't been to a drive-in since I was a child, and it did not dissapoint! 3 different screens with 3 different movie combos on each. There is a little snack bar for popcorn, pizza, etc... Much cheaper than a night out at the movie theatre and so much more fun. My husband and I brought his pick up truck and backed it in then put a bunch of blankets and pillows in the back and snuggled up! Best date night in a LONG time! read more

It's been a long time since we've gone to a drive-in and it was pretty much the same. Very nice attendant at the gate but the movie began at least 20 minutes later than posted. Very aggravating, when you're seeing a kids' movie and the little ones are anxiously awaiting the start. Their website says the concessions are a great value, but we thought $17 for three small bottles of pop and a large bag of popcorn was NOT such a great value. read more
