I don't usually leave reviews, but my recent visit with my child to NCH Immediate Care on Vanderbilt Beach Rd was the kind of experience that stays with you--in the best possible way. From my very first interaction with the staff, by phone, I felt truly cared for. Zoey was incredibly proactive--not only helping get us scheduled, but also taking care of every detail, even those that needed to be handled at another facility. It genuinely felt like she cared about us. Once we arrived, everyone was absolutely kind and professional--from the front desk, to the nurse, to the physician. It was clear that the team works in harmony, which made the entire experience even more reassuring. Pam connected with my child in such a natural and comforting way, and Dr. MacVenn made everything smooth and pleasant. She created an environment where my little one felt comfortable enough to share their own medical history. Today, after the follow-up studies, Dr. MacVenn personally called us to let us know that everything came back normal. That level of care and follow-through means a lot. Registered online and got on their wait list to minimize wait. THAT FAILED MISERABLY. Waited 2 hours.

I have been to this urgent care at least 5 times over the years. They are so thoughtful, so good at what they do. I wish all of the NCH Physicians and assistants were half as good. Now that so many NCH physicians have gone concierge this will be my go to place. Most NCH care is relegated to ancillary personnel so it is a pleasure and privilege to be cared for by a physician in real time when you are serious about your health. I am a Registered Nurse with three graduate degrees and think I am in a position to objectively evaluate medical care. read more

Brought wife today. Was 3rd in line when opened. 1 hr 45 minutes waiting and my wife still not checked in. Service is absolutely awful.

I call ahead, they tell me how many are ahead of me then put me on a waitlist. Very helpful! Still wait but nothing like other places Being part of the larger Nch system is also a plus. That's Naples Community Hospital. They have all my records and it's easier to get connected with other specialists. Location is great, the corner away from the strip mall but close enough where you can wait and stroll, they offer to text you when ready. Lots of eateries nearby in the outdoor mall Parking is free and ample Kitty corner from street is our favorite park to Walk our dogs Staff is excellent and professional. Especially George the X-ray tech. He was so sweet to look for and offer me a wafer like cookie when he knew I was hungry and needed to eat something Doctors and nurses are all professional and I did not feel rushed but felt like they took time to listen The only thing I do not like, and this has been for years in this building, no matter who is housed here, is how echoey it is. High ceilings and no carpet, no curtains, nothing to absorb sounds of babies crying, people checking in and out, not exactly what I think HIPPA would like. They do have a tv which helps the awkward contrasting silence when no one is speaking I wish they would address this privacy issue. Pad the walls, something. Update: it turns out that my foot was broken and i had severe damage to my ligaments and they missed it. Showed the xray to another doctor and they could clearly see the broken bone in my foot, I don't know how this was missed. read more

I was showing symptoms of a head cold... people at the desk and physicians assistant had me in and prepped for Dr Cox... She entered the exam room, asked questions and did an overall check...the test results were not back yet so she said I could go and she would call me. Within 30 minutes a diagnosis of COVID came back ..ln order to treat it properly she called pharmacies to make sure they had the paxlovid in stock to treat my diagnosis ...she went above and beyond in my care ..she has my highest recommendation. read more

They are really slow here. It took two hours before anyone saw me. Then the put me in an examination room for another hour. That was unacceptable. Especially when other facilities do so much better. Even though I have 3 different doctors at NCH I still had to fill out the traditional medical family history. That's just dumb. There's a much better urgent care facility in Bonita. I should have driven up there to the Bonita Community Health Center Urgent Care at 3501 Health Center Blvd, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. The overall time would have been less. And, I would not have gotten all aggravated. Normally I like NCH. Not this facility. This was a really bad experience. I will never use this facility again. In the future I will return to Bonita Community Health Center Urgent Care. It's a much better facility and the people there are much nicer. Health care is a very competitive business today. Any number of companies are competing for our health care money. We as customers can shop around and find a company that meets out needs. While most of the people at NCH realize this fact. This is an outpost that has been forgotten. I almost feel sorry for the staff that has to work there. read more

Yesterday I took my son to the Vanderbilt Beach (Pavilion) NCH Urgent Care Center for treatment of injuries associated with a motorized skateboard accident. My 13 yr old son had multiple severe abrasions, which were infected, oozing, and painful. Martina Williams, Nurse Practitioner, treated him. This is the second time my son has received treatment from her at NCH Urgent Care. She was incredibly patient, gentle, sympathetic, and considerate while treating his wounds. We are so grateful for her superb care and bedside manner. I cannot say enough good things about Ms. Williams, along with the nurse (whose name I do not know). Both my son and I shed tears of relief when Justin left NCH in comfort last night, with his abrasions clean and covered. The world needs more people like Martina Williams. read more

Fractured my toe, excruciating pain, went to Vanderbilt center, could not get an exray because the new computer system wasn't working? They sent me over to Southeast Naples because there was supposed to be exray availability at that site, they did an intake, took quite a long time, again they were unable to do an exray because the new computer system wasn't working? Ended up at the hospital ER, my journey began at 1:00 pm and ended at 7:30 pm, got an exray, my toe was bandaged poorly, was given a shoe that is 2 sizes too small. The staff apologized because of the new computer system, gave me a prescription for ibuprofen and sent me on my way. read more

Waited two hours to see doctor. Lots of front office staff, only one doctor. Staff picked folks after i arrived to see first because they were slow to enter my info. Nothing is frustrating like seeing you wait two hours and they take others before you due to incompetence. I was once told by a long time Naples resident (joking) that NCH stands for Never Come Home. Very nice people, however extremely, extremely slow. This is classified as urgent care and there is nothing urgent about this place. I spent over 2.5 hours here and during that time over 20 people came, waited and left as they got fed up with the wait. Not the best service I've seen, however - again the people here are extremely nice. read more

If you have sniffles, go here. If you are having ANY POSSIBLE HEART! OR PULMONARY problem, DO NOT GO THERE. Their first and foremost concern is how they will get paid! The staff at the desk had me wait 45 minutes after I came in and said I was having chest pain! The ONLY concern was getting insurance information. The doctor is a joke! I told him I am asthmatic and had to ask him to listen to my lungs! REALLY??? After waiting 45 minutes to be seen, he wanted to put me in an ambulance to go to the hospital! The reason, you will maybe get there sooner! They certainly didn't care how long I had to wait to have a doctor or a nurse see me. Why care if it saves five minutes getting to NCH Downtown, where I waited 6 hours in the waiting room. The unprofessional, rude, incompetent care here is horrendous! On 11/28, I took my 2 year old daughter (I have twin girls and had both with me) here to have stitches just under her bottom lip on a Sunday night, right before closing. The staff were SO caring and considerate and took me in without a blink, but I did also call in about an hour ahead bc I live quite far. They checked us in in about 10min and had us in an exam room. After looking at her cut, the PA informed me of all of my options. Basically the only one that would leave her w/o a bad scar was to have the stitches. I was hesitant bc I know that it's hard to contain a 2 year old while doing so. But, he FULLY explained why, and that he would do the same for his daughter. So I whole-heartedly agreed. Without asking, he fully explained what he was going to do, when and why. He also took the time out to explain how my child would react, due to his previous experience. I REALLY appreciated that. It saved me a lot of questions and possible freak-outs while I was going through my first child procedure. I could tell that he saw my stress about her being in pain and scared, and he reassured me 120%, again without even having to ask those questions. My little girl was miserable for 5min while having her stitches in, just bc she was scared, just like he said would happen. She was grateful it was over fast, and that they talked and sang to her, I tried my best but her twin was crying due to seeing her sissy upset, and honestly I couldn't watch her go through that, but I knew she was in amazing hands. If I didn't know that, I never would have let them do it by themselves. They did such an amazing job. She was done fussing about 30 seconds after the procedure. She was even hugging, and saying 'thank you for ouchie!!!! Bye bye!' (Thank you for helping my ouchie) ....Right after. She actually wanted to be held by the nurses and talk to them, instead of being comforted by mommy. My husband took her back 7 days after to have the stitches removed, and I didn't have to pay another copay or any thing. I was able to make an appointment for it (which they were on time for, HUGE bonus!). They had her in, in mere minutes), and had her stitches out in about 45 seconds. Overall, we had great experiences, and we will definitely be headed back, but hopefully we'll never have to! read more

NCH Immediate care on Vanderbilt rd. CUATION! Rant coming! So my wife started getting a stuffy nose on Sunday night and we were out of town. No big deal because she has sinus problems and her symptoms were the same as she has had before. She was pretty much the same on Monday. Then Tuesday night she had some chills but that went away. So we decide to come on home after much convincing I got her to call her doctor on the way home yesterday, She was advised to go to the NCH Immediate care on Vanderbilt rd. She did today and tested positive for COVID. But here is the real kicker. The doctor then proceeded to chew her out and tell her that she had no business going out of town and that she now had exposed everybody at Disney Springs to the virus and that she made a poor choice by going! Wow UNPROFESSIONAL!!! But wait mask work right (SMH) and she wore one wherever she went so it should not be a problem right! Ummmm...hello who are you to do that to her and upset her after telling her she has covid.. That is not your call. What a lack of professionalism by a doctor. I signed in at approximately 1:00PM. I had fallen and was passing blood through my urine. I also had a pain on my left side. I was told to go home and check periodically to find out when a doctor would see me. After several phone calls, I decided to go in since they were closing at 6:00 and it was then 5:00 - four hours after having signed in at their desk. I was taken into a treatment room. A nurse came in to ask me what was wrong. I explained my situation. She went to see the doctor and came back to tell me to go the the emergency room at NCH. I wasted four hours waiting for an assessment that they could not help me. A simple initial triage of a few minutes - the same amount of time it took the nurse to tell me to go the the emergency room - would have eliminated that wait, got me quicker attention and have my situation treated. Then of course the emergency was a nightmare - twelve hours of waiting to see a doctor. read more

Very rude women at receptionist desk. People are not feeling good and she is acting like she don't have time to check them in. And ordering people around, only if the doctors could see her in action. People from Florida, do not normally act like that. She is definitely not from here. I ended up walking out. I found this facility on line when I cut my finger last Sat night. First, I was so relieved when I saw they were open on Sunday. I waited 30 minutes likely due to others with more acute issues, plus I had to fill out forms, first time there. It appeared that others had been before. The service and care were excellent and I made it in the available time after the cut to still get stitches. Got tetanus shot, antibiotic script, excellent care taking. No way would I want to go to ER for a non life threatening issue and I needed to get it taken care of on Sunday. I would have happily waited 5 times as long to get this medical care on a Sunday. I brought in my 4 y.o. and 11 y.o. boys for concerns regarding some open wounds that weren't healing. We had just arrived from Indiana for a fall break vacation (2nd full week of October), and I am familiar with the negative effects that ocean water can have on an open wound/scrape (i.e., cellulitis). Anyway, I called twice on a Sunday to try to "schedule" an appointment, which wasn't clear to me, even after having spoken with an extremely kind women (twice on the phone). I wanted to make an appointment, if possible, to try to circumvent the possibility of a dreadful couple-hours' wait with two rowdy boys. Needless to say, I arrive about two hours after the center opened at noon, and there was NOBODY there! The same kind receptionist (who recognized me by our conversations alone) was there to greet me, and didn't make me feel pressured or like we were an inconvenience (being there on a Sunday). Paperwork was quick, and we got called back within 15 minutes of our arrival. The nurse was kind to my boys and worked efficiently to get vitals and a briefing of our reason for our visit. Then, as soon as she left our room, no more than 5 minutes later, the PA, named Michael Tanner, came in to see us. He was very professional, kind, and thorough. He asked as many questions as he could prior to physically assessing the wounds. He swabbed one of my boy's scrapes, as he was most concerned about the appearance of the wound on his knee. He talked through proper care using a topical antibiotic ointment and bandaging, and then prescribed an oral antibiotic, in hopes to eradicate what he had ended up diagnosing as cellulitis. My other son, he easily diagnosed based on the wound's appearance, being impetigo. I couldn't believe it! So thankful I acted on my mommy intuition!!!! Michael was extremely knowledgable, caring and attentive to the needs of both of my boys. He interacted well with each of them. I felt very cared for, safe, and at ease with the care the entire staff provided us, but I particularly wanted to give a should out to Michael Tanner, the PA, for providing this mom some peace of mind. By the way, both of my boys' wounds cleared up after the 10-day dosage that was prescribed...EVEN with ongoing swimming in both the ocean and the pool!!!!!! read more
