Our family absolutely loves NDR. My 8 year old son, who is in the autism spectrum, has been attending NDR for almost about a year. The equine therapy provided by NDR has tremendously help my son in his autism journey. Not only they help him with the physical aspect of equine therapy, but his sessions also teaches him about compassion, patience, good work ethic, and responsibility. The team is passionate about what they do, and is really knowledgeable in dealing with kids with all sorts of physical and developmental disabilities. It's all about the money she makes the parent sign makes you drive their sign and say that your child is sick and going home so she could get paid like she says I need to pay my stuff and it's not coming out of my own pocket. NDR is absolutely incredible. They don't just put your child on a horse, they teach them to respect the horse and brush the horse, and built rapport with their horse. They focus on goals targeted specifically to your child's needs. My son loves every session and looks forward to attending. I cannot stress enough how much NDR has drastically improved my son's life in a positive way. My Daughter is a current student at NDR. It has been absolutely amazing. Her confidence and physical strength has increased tremendously. She looks forward to every session. She partakes in group lessons and the socialization has been great for her. The staff are all very patient and caring. The instructors are very knowledgeable and Ms. Donna has the biggest heart I've ever seen! Safety is key at NDR and they always have an abundance of staff and volunteers willing to help. (Of course they can always use more.) As a parent, knowing that my child has someone to help stabilize or catch her if she falls is VERY reassuring. They incorporate OT into their lessons. Donna over at NDR is extremely knowledgeable, the entire team is patient and kind. My daughter has been going here for about a month and this has given her something to be excited about again .They aren't just teaching horse back riding they are teaching how to take direction, social skills, patience and responsibility. Taking riding lessons at NDR Ranch has been a wonderful experience for my son, who has Down syndrome. The facilities are very nice and the horses are gentle and well trained. Donna and her staff are big on safety, which is important around horses. They teach with great patience and kindness, yet challenge my son to do his best. As his confidence has grown in controlling the horses, it has also grown in other activities. There are so many life lessons that go along with learning to ride a horse! The physical exercise and muscle coordination required to balance on a horse are great as well. I am grateful for NDR Ranch and all their hard work to help my son learn how to ride! I have been raising my special needs granddaughter since she was 3 years old. We enrolled her in regular horseback riding when she was 5, but her ADHD and RAD condition prevented any sort of riding ability. It was just a year ago that we found NDR Therapeutic Riding in Norco. With Ms. Donna's help, my granddaughter has progressed so much that her confidence level and maturity level is flourishing. Her focus has improved while riding, and she has a genuine love for her horse. Often times you will find her visiting different horses, and offering to help feed them. On more than one occasion, I have seen her go in and pick up their mess with the shovel. Ms. Donna has a horseshow and sometimes has her students participate in off site horseshows. My granddaughter has won ribbons for her ability, and we are very proud. Thank you, NDR, for your love, compassion, understanding, patience, and teaching of riding and caring for horses.
