But the moment his cognitive needs grew and he required more support, they dropped him like a hot potato. After my wife requested a reasonable accommodation to our billing because our son couldn't attend on non-mounting days, they took our payment and immediately cut ties. When she pushed back, the owner lashed out with outrageous, false claims that our son had harmed staff and animals. We have years in this program with zero history of issues; the single incident they referenced involved an animal that was completely unharmed--if anything, the risk goes the other way around, as the staff stated on more than one occasion. Conveniently, this "safety concern" only materialized the exact moment we asked for a fair accommodation. It is heartbreaking to watch a little boy who has very few interests in life constantly ask to ride his favorite horses, only to be shut out by this organization's greed and lack of empathy. Families with children who have developmental or cognitive needs deserve far better than this.

We had the pleasure of working with YI for our son's therapy--once, around when our son was 6…read moremonths, and then a bit more than a year later (we had moved, and SARC assigned us to another agency, which we eventually went back to YI). The technician that was assigned to our son (the second time) noticed that he showed behavioral patterns that indicated SPD. Neither my wife nor I were familiar with this, and the tech suggested some resources for us to read and learn from (one of which was The Out Of Sync Child, which comes on an audiobook). I am always thankful for YI and that tech, as, until our son could officially be diagnosed (later diagnosed as autism), that tech integrated her therapy to be in line with children who have SPD. Unfortunately, SARC assigned another agency to our son (as he required many more hours, which YI couldn't meet; as well as other services that YI doesn't offer). That agency, among many other problems, didn't know (or bother to learn about) SPD. Fortunately, after pushing our Regional Contact for another agency (as well as asking to go back to YI, as, even though our son was getting fewer hours, those hours were FAR MORE SUBSTANTIVE than the new agency--in fact, he was REGRESSING with the new agency), the new agency (which could meet the new hour demands and other services) knew about SPD and their techs are trained about it.

Stacy is Amazing! I first seeked her help to confirm my suspension of baby girl having a lip tie…read more She's was able to do home visits, which is so convenient for me as I'm home alone most days and taking her outside can be troublesome. She was very accommodating with scheduling too! After evaluation, she diagnosed my baby girl with lip tie and possibly a tounge tie. She showed me some exercises I can do daily to help with her oral functions and body tension. Shes suggested some dentists that shes seen procedure success in. She advised that its up to me if I want to do the lip tie procedure, and that oral exercises will need to be done after procedure so getting her use to exercises is important. And sometimes the exercises can significantly improve without needing the procedure. Shes also suggested nipple types I can try to help her latch better. Overall, after 3 sessions, baby girl has minimal clicking, better latch and slightly stronger tounge. Im still on the fence with the procedure, i know sooner the better, but if she continues to improve, I may forgo the procedure. Let's hope her 4 month regression does not undo all our hard work. I will revisit Stacy when baby girl starts solids.

The next problem was with scheduling, a host of unconfirmed dates and periods of no contact at all, just left out to dry. Next up is billing. In one instance i reciewed 3 (three) emails the same day for a past due and I would attempt to pay it online and the site would not accept the payment. I call a billing phone number and am told we don't handle that office, you need to call that location instead and I call and am told the online billing site is experiencing some problems but, let me check with billing and she comes back and says you have a zero balance. Lastly and the final straw for me is I get a bill in the mail for a "follow up" visit the same day I get a text to schedule the follow up visit. I again attempt to pay the amount online and it again does not accept my payment. I just got off the phone with them about scheduling the "follow up" appointment and explain the bill in the mail and text to schedule and am told again online billing is having problems (the last time I was told this was 6 weeks ago) so again she checks my account and she tells me I have a zero balance. Don't waste your time with this company, save yourself the frustration!

We saw 3 or 4 speech therapist before her and suddenly he's 95% on board with participating while practicing new skill and he was 0% participating with the other ones. So grateful we got paired with her, she pushes him the perfect amount for him and that changes by the moment constantly reading him and seeing what he's up to in each moment while not letting him avoid practice all together. I also really appreciate the guidance on things we can practice and model at home to boost our progress.
