This review is for the Arte Museum in Las Vegas. I have…read moremixed emotions about this review because it was an interesting concept and had some enjoyable features, but as I left I felt it fell flat overall. Here it goes: This is not easy to find - check prior to heading over to ensure you know where you are going. The price is not cheap for the small size of the Museum. If you add a taxi/UBER/LYFT to get there it may be too pricy for the end product. It is your money - you decide. Once inside after checking in, there are several rooms you enter in a self-guided manner. The flow of the walking is ONE direction. Therefore, if you felt like you wanted to see something again, you would be going against traffic. If you have issues with vertigo or balance, this is perhaps not the Museum for you. There is lots of glass and things moving against tiles and glass and we found ourselves stopping to catch our balance a couple of times. In some rooms, prior to entering, although there are signs up saying "do not block doorway" everyone did trying to get pictures or videos making it hard to enter. There were not any staff inside the Museum directing people accordingly. Also, some of the guests were actually sitting on the floor to take videos of themselves as if they were sitting in water - this only created a road block for those who were trying to move on. Each room is unique and some are more "active" and larger in size than others. There is one area where you can color a page, scan it in, and it will become part of the animation. We waited 10 minutes for a seat to participate and none became available, so we left that area disappointed. The cafe, as other reviewers have noted, was a disappointment. They showcase it on their website as something very much different than it is. The man working the cafe counter the day we were there evidentially did not enjoy his job. I don't know why he stays if he is that unhappy. The cafe indicates: A feast of live garnish expressed with media art on attractive drink and dessert menus. I guess we missed this part! LOL! The latte we were served was about 1/3 of a cup - if we would have poured it out into a measuring cup. For $7 that is not worth it - pass on that folks. There is a sign on the cafe table indicating you can use it (after you have purchased items there) for 10 minutes. And they mean it!! A very small bottle of what they call "rainwater" was $5.00. Who in the world would buy that - but we saw people with it. Maybe they got it for a souvenir? Speaking of the souvenir shop: It was unique - there were many items priced under $10 or $15. So, if you really wanted something, you could find something at a reasonable price. I would check out the videos people have posted on YouTube to decide if this is worth the investment for yourself. We were in and out in an hour to give you an idea of how much you are spending for an hour of your time.

Growing up in Las Vegas, it has been amazing watching Ghost Adventures shine a spotlight on this city and introduce people around the world to the incredible history, stories, and fascinating individuals connected to the paranormal. Vegas is so much more than the Strip, and places like this really showcase the mysterious and extraordinary side of the city. Walking into the Haunted Museum, the excitement immediately took over--but once I was inside, I was genuinely blown away. Seeing so many incredible and infamous artifacts up close was surreal, especially knowing the stories and history behind them. There is so much to take in, and you can truly feel the atmosphere as you walk through the different rooms. I also want to give a huge shoutout to the staff! Everyone I encountered was welcoming, friendly, and made the experience even better. After exploring the museum, I had to stop by the gift shop, where I picked up some of their awesome rosaries. They make such a cool keepsake from the experience. For a longtime fan, this was definitely a bucket-list experience. Whether you've been following the show for years or you're simply fascinated by the paranormal, history, and the unexplained, I absolutely recommend visiting Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum when you're in Las Vegas. Like thirty minutes of being held hostage is a real horror. Also, the selfies that you can take with the ring light cost $12 lol. They try to convince you to buy a Polaroid camera that can take up to 10 photos and that's also scammy. They take a dollar from you when they ask you if you would be willing to be tribute in one of the first rooms for a fortune reading. For the price that this is I think it is pretty insane at how much of a money grab they continued to be There is a ton of stuff to look at and sometimes I wish there was a little bit more time without the tour guide. But the tour is super long as it is and everyone that ended up buying the VIP said that it was not worth it. If you are sensitive to smell, I will have to warn you that the rooms are heavily perfumed. We didn't do the maze because apparently the clown was on lunch break. They should've given some of our money back because we didn't get the full experience. All in all, thé capitalize on spirits and glorify serial killers. Kinda weird. I am glad I did it once but will not be coming back. Candy man, the security guard was awesome though.

We chose to go on a Tuesday, the fewer people the better for us. Parking was $8. This is right down there by the Old Downtown, Fremont, the Nugget. Fact that this building was a Courtroom and Post Office. The layout was very well done starting on the top/3rd floor with beginning of the the crooks and then the town. Each floor has its own notoriety in the time frame/ era. The displays are informative, a lot of reading. Tour guide headsets are available too, we found the docents were very knowledgable. I asked them if they knew where the term "86ed" came from? There are quit a few "actual items", the St Valentines Day Wall...some Tommy sub-machine guns, and other bits and bob's of stuff. I didn't see any wax figurines of the bad guys for photo op's. They did take Pic's in a Line Up setting $15-$35 depending. No actual cars or vehicles, I like the tactile stuff. I guess Bonnie & Clyde don't qualify. Certainly the Mob Hall is a fun, once is enough venue to see. We made sure to stop at the speak easy in the basement. My friend and I were looking for something different to do, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The museum is packed with fascinating information, and if you want to read everything, plan to spend about three hours here. We were lucky enough to catch a talk by a former mob member, which made the experience even more memorable. A special shout out to the employees throughout the museum. Their passion for the history is contagious, and they add so much to the experience by sharing stories and answering questions. The museum also has a great gift shop and café. It's no more expensive than the museums in Pittsburgh. We went at 9:45 and it was so worth it. I loved reading about the history of the signs and chatting with staff about them. Make sure to ask questions, as the staff are so knowledgeable.

Our kids loved all the interactive exhibits, especially the fossil dig, the moving sand table, and the hands-on play areas. There was plenty to keep them engaged, and they also enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs, marine life, and live animals throughout the museum. Admission: Around $15 for adults and $7 for children (ages 3-11). Kids 2 and under are free, making it an affordable family outing. Parking: Free parking is available, which was a huge plus. Tips: * Plan for about 2-3 hours to see everything. * The hands-on exhibits are the highlight, so allow extra time for those. * Great indoor activity, especially during the hot Las Vegas summer. Before we even got there, we tried one of the new Zoox autonomous vehicles that are currently operating as part of a free pilot program in Las Vegas. It seats up to four people, the ride was smooth, the air conditioning was wonderful in the Vegas heat, and you can even choose the lighting ambiance inside the vehicle while listening to either the built-in music or your own phone. The only downside was figuring out the pickup location. If you've never used the service before, you may find yourself wandering around for a few minutes trying to find the correct pickup spot. As for the museum itself, the tickets were not inexpensive, but I felt they were a fair value considering the experience and the opportunity to see genuine Titanic artifacts that most people will never have the chance to see in person. Seeing "The Big Piece" alone made the visit worthwhile. One thing that surprised me was the atmosphere. I've walked through the Luxor many times and have never personally felt anything despite all the haunted stories people tell. The moment we stepped into the Titanic exhibit, though, my entire chest tightened. Whether it was the music, the lighting, or simply the weight of the history surrounding those artifacts, the feeling caught me completely off guard. The exhibit itself is immersive, with photographs, music, recreated spaces, and historical information that really helps you imagine what life aboard the ship was like. At the beginning, each visitor receives a boarding card with the name and story of a real passenger or crew member. At the end of the exhibit, you discover that person's fate and see their photograph. It was such a simple idea, but it made the experience feel much more personal and emotional. If you enjoy history, I would absolutely recommend visiting at least once. It was thoughtful, respectful, educational, and genuinely moving. I'm glad we went, and it's an experience my wife and I will remember for a long time.
