If you're into museums and history, the Mob Museum is definitely a cool spot to check out while in Vegas. Located near Fremont Street, this museum dives deep into the history of organized crime and its impact on American society. My wife and I enjoy museums and learning about history, so this was right up our alley. One thing I'll say though, don't make the mistake we did and come during a busy holiday weekend like Memorial Day weekend. The place was packed. You honestly need at least 3 hours to fully enjoy and explore everything, but we felt rushed because of the heavy foot traffic and overcrowding. The exhibits were interesting and well done, but part of me wished it went a little darker or more graphic with some of the mob history. Still, overall a really solid experience and worth visiting at least once. Next time, we'll definitely avoid the busy weekends, sign up for the guided tour, and try the crime lab experience too.

A must-visit! I honestly believed that this place would romanticize the criminals who wore suits and demanded respect out of fear ... sort of like The Godfather or Goodfellas. But that was certainly not the case. Rather, this museum presents the facts and artifacts. I love museums that explain and display the history. When there are actual pieces of said history, it's even better. Be it Al Capone's pistol or Bugsy Siegal's sunglasses, it's here (along with a ton of additional artifacts). You could easily spend three hours here, and every minute would be worth it.

This place is a gem. We loved it. You need to allow a good 3 hours approx depending on how much you get invested. The lab experience was fascinating and for me it was the best part. Wished I had more time to spend in there. Interesting history. The building is lovely... just a few minutes walk from Freemont. Definate must see in Las Vegas.

Never met a museum we didn't like and The Mob museum delivers. Excellent docents wherever we found them roaming around. They even have a restaurant distillery in the basement. Al Capone would approve. Everything was immaculately clean! Easy parking in the area.

A late review from a valentines day celebration and education of the mob on the run. A free day for locals and an anniversary. Entering a speakeasy below behind closed pictures celebrating quietly. If you can find it. Enjoy the moments when no password is required and the door is unlocked in the midnight hour.

Had a great time exploring the museum. They have an excellent amount of historical pieces related to the mob, it was really impressive. It will take you some time to go through this, so make sure you have time. And don't miss out on the talk from a real life mobster.

A fun, different history lesson in Vegas not your typical Strip attraction I was looking for something abstract and off-the-beaten-path to do in Vegas instead of the usual stuff, and a friend suggested the Mob Museum. I hadn't been since it first opened years ago, so I got genuinely excited to check it out again. Man, I'm glad I did. This place is packed with history and it doesn't hold back. Be prepared: some exhibits get pretty gory, and there's a lot about law enforcement taking down gangsters. There's nothing glorious about the violence or the killing, but you can also see the other side of it. During the Great Depression, when people were struggling just to eat, some folks romanticized the mobsters like Robin Hood figures or even treated them like celebrities. The museum does a solid job showing all of that without sugarcoating. It's a real deep dive tons of detail across multiple floors, interactive stuff, and artifacts that make it feel immersive. If you're into history at all, you'll eat this up. And yes, if it wasn't for the mob, Vegas as we know it probably wouldn't exist. That alone makes it worth visiting. My buddy was most excited about the speakeasy bar at the bottom (The Underground), and it definitely delivered. Cool Prohibition-era vibe with craft cocktails perfect way to end the visit. Overall, this was my "oddball" activity of the trip (right after hitting Bugsy's bar, of course). The way they've put it all together is really well done. If you've got a few sober(ish) hours and want something different from the usual Vegas grind, definitely check it out. It's a nice change of pace and a solid history lesson wrapped in a unique experience. Would go again!

We came here with large group late in the evening about an hour before closing. They did not have all the things they offer open. So our tour was a bit limited. We had a great time taking pictures and checking out the history of Vegas and the mob scene. We headed downstairs to the underground speakeasy for a nightcap and that was the best part.

Really unique and interesting museum about the Mob in what was a former courthouse. They have an audio self guided tour but my family opted out. They recommend you start on the 3rd floor and work your way down. I learned a lot about how the mob came to be and the different networks across America. There are several videos, the wall from the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, an old electric chair you can sit in (with sound effects), displays of Tommy guns, and docents who will talk about some of the displays. There are also some gruesome pictures of murder victims in one of the exhibits as well but you can skip them by going out a different door. If you want a snack, the 2nd floor has a coffee shop that also sells pastries. The basement houses a speakeasy bar called "The Underground" that offers distillery tastings. There's a door in the back with the sliding viewer thing like you see on TV when they ask you for the password. Haha There's a lot to see here, we spent over 2 hours here. Parking is $8. Handicap lift available to go up to the museum entrance.

We booked a lot of things to do when in Vegas for Thanksgiving and this place ranks as one, if not the best, experiences we had. I do recommend getting there early because there is a lot to look at and the less crowded the easier it is to do. There is a big parking lot but it was full when we left a few hours later. They have a huge collection on multiple floors plus the speakeasy basement with detailed exhibits showing tons of memorabilia, photos, video, audio etc. You won't be bored! I paid additional for the audio tour, I don't think it's necessary really, I only used mine half the time. I also paid for some of the "experiences". I did the Crime Scene lab one which was a ton of fun if you are into learning about fingerprints, bullet identification and autopsies like Dexter Morgan used to do. My husband did the Firearm Training Simulator and enjoyed it. The person teaching his experience (former police) was convinced my guy was military or police, wish I was there to see that conversation! We also did the Distillery Tasting and Randy talked us through prohibition while we sipped on their made in house moonshine. I bought a bottle of their Huckleberry, so yum! Lastly, kudos to all the staff! Everyone was so kind and genuinely happy to be there. And everything was very clean. That's a huge deal for me! I would love to go back and spend another day...if there was no one else there. The history of the building and what went on in this old courthouse is just so cool. Definitely worth the time and price to visit!

Family came to town and wanted to go to the mob museum. Ive been here once before around 9 years ago and this place has changed a lot. The place is ok if its your first time but if you go a second time to me it was like a boring school field trip, lots lots of worker trying to guide you and talk to you about the stuff that's there. I like more of a museum to look and read stuff. I don't think I'll ever make a third trip back here.

s a Las Vegas local, I appreciate that the Mob Museum offers a resident discount -- it makes the visit more accessible and worth considering. I recommend booking online ahead of time, though if you're trying to book multiple experiences in addition to general admission, the process can feel a bit cumbersome and not very streamlined. That said, I highly recommend purchasing the interactive experiences. Those are what make the visit feel worth it, especially if you've already been inside the museum once. While the exhibits themselves are interesting and well done, I'm not sure how often I'd return without the added experiences. I enjoyed the interactive components overall. The crime lab was cool, but the standout for me was the firearm simulator training -- it was unique, eye-opening, and not something you encounter at most museums. That experience alone made the visit feel special. I also love learning about the history of criminal activity in Las Vegas and beyond, and the museum does a great job presenting that information in an engaging way. It's educational, immersive, and a fun way to spend a few hours. One downside is that there are moments where it feels like the museum is trying to nickel-and-dime you. Between paid photo opportunities and add-on experiences, the extra costs add up quickly and can feel excessive. Overall, it's a great experience -- especially with the interactive add-ons -- just be prepared for some extra spending along the way.

We randomly found this place when I came to visit my friend when she first moved to Las Vegas. She immediately got an annual pass for her family because we had so much fun and we were there for hours and didn't see nearly half as much as we could have. There were various activities and it turns out, my niece would make an awesome CSI detective. None of us had any idea of how integral and interconnected the mob was in almost every facet of life back in the 1920s - especially when it comes to the creation and foundation of Las Vegas.

Some rooms can be a bit darker while throughout the museum is well lit. The optical illusion to some of the exhibits can cause dizziness. Even the graphic geometric patterns you'll see throughout. My sister and I had a blast exploring the exhibits--and thanks to the super helpful staff, we snapped some seriously cool photos along the way. Some of the illusions still have me scratching my head, and I love that. Hands down, this was one of the most fun and fascinating museums I've ever visited. Highly recommend!

There are lots of interactive exhibits, old equipment, videos, and real historical artifacts. Learning about the atomic testing era and seeing how close the tests were to Vegas was fascinating. The museum is clean, well organized, and easy to explore at your own pace. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable too. The only downside is the ticket price felt expensive -- I honestly wish they charged a little less so that everyone could afford to experience and learn from this unique museum. Still, it's a very educational and worthwhile visit if you enjoy history, science, or museums.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how well the exhibits were set up and how much history is packed into one place. The museum does an excellent job explaining the science and history behind nuclear testing and the Manhattan Project in a way that was engaging for adults and older kids alike. We especially enjoyed seeing the historical artifacts, models, and detailed displays that brought such an important part of American history to life. The museum was clean, well organized, and easy to walk through at our own pace, and there were plenty of interesting things to see that sparked conversations among all of us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we even spent extra time exploring the exhibits because there was so much to take in. Overall it was a fun, educational outing, and we definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a little different to do in Las Vegas. A great mix of science, history, and fascinating facts that left us all talking about what we learned long after we left!
