In 2024, Nearby Plumbing visited our home to answer questions, inspect, and provide a free estimate for several issues related to our new home's plumbing, gas line, and sewage ejector pump. Different plumbers were used during our home build, and unfortunately, those other plumbers took costly shortcuts on our home. We had something come up, which required postponing the work for about a year, but Nearby Plumbing happily returned and provided updated estimates, answered more of our questions and again didn't charge us a penny. We scheduled the work and Nearby Plumbing helped us fix a gas line that was leaking in a few locations inside of our mechanical room, added a missing service valve to our sewage ejector pump and also upgraded the pump to include a grinder (reducing chances of a clog and sewage backup), added a wifi monitoring alarm to the ejector pump (to alert us in case the pump ever fails), and added a hose spigot to our mechanical room to make filling up emergency water storage easier. Nearby Plumbing was great to work with. I appreciated their patience with scheduling the work on our timeline, the way they listened to our questions and concerns, and their solutions to correct the issues that our builder and original home-build contractors left us with. My wife and I have learned that finding contractors who are honest, good at what they do, and who treat your home as if it were their home is less common these days. Here's a breakdown Of what happened water heater stopped working it was under warranty I got on Rheem website nearby plumbing popped up as a certified installation provider. The guy came out checked her water heater determined it needed to be replaced he got there around 1:30 because it was past the installation warranty they told us it was going to be $1200 to install but we wouldn't have to pay for the water heater my husband was going out of town the next morning and so we agreed. The guy took the water heater out went and installed a new one. He came upstairs at 4:30 and said there was no power to the unit and he couldn't get it to work and he couldn't do anything till the next day because he needed to talk to a Rheem tech to find out why it wasn't working (thought he was a certified tech). My husband then went down after dinner and spent about 2 hours to figure out why it wasn't getting power, It was something internal that was not plugged in but he got it working and we had hot water at the end of the night yay. Thankfully no cold shower for us. The next day a different guy came back he was at our house for a total of less than 10 minutes he said it all seems to be working correctly but there was a leak from the install and the part he needed to fix it was broken and so he would have to come back again the next day. He came back the next day and fixed the leak and everything's been OK since. I have been trying to talk to them about getting a discount on the $1200 installation because my husband spent two hours of his own time, so we didn't have to take cold showers to get the unit functioning correctly. I am not asking for them to dismiss the invoice but for discount, maybe split it. They keep arguing back and forth and now I'm getting a collection call when I've asked more then once to speak to a supervisor. Next time I will not be calling them. read more

I made the mistake of assuming that my water heater repair was covered by the manufacturer warranty. Rheem says that all you are on the hook for is $75 callout fee. Plumber sends the parts to my house and comes to fix it - THEN tells me that labor is $600!!! He was at my house for 40 minutes. $600 in labor for 40 minutes work. Strongly suggest you get a quote first and then get a better price elsewhere. read more

I am not going to lie - I've had a nightmare few weeks. Between an electrical fire, gopher infestation, dog injury from the back yard, and my water heater blowing out, I was beyond upset. I figured this process was going to be as painful as dealing with all these big issues surrounding us. I put in a request in Thumbtack and had a few calls and emails. My call with Z (Zee?) was great. She had asked for a few photos, and took my call later in the evening, after a long workday, to discuss. She was sympathetic to what was going on, gave me a quote and a few options, explained what each option was, what they suggested from just a photo review, and set me up an appointment. Leroy was my technician today. They told me he'd be here between 11 and 1 - he was here at 10:55. Nicest guy I've met in years - walked me through the process that Z walked me through, pointed out a few minor issues that we couldn't see over photo, and started right away. I was working from home to make sure I was available, and Leroy was very respectful of my office space, and a surgically damaged and very angry dog. We discovered a second issue with the piping (too high pressure, likely caused damage to the old heater), and he was able to take the time to fix that as well. The quote was spot on - one minor thing extra that would have been included Leroy took care of. He really took care of the entire water heater situation, and helped me understand what was going on, what I needed and why, maintenance techniques, and recommendations for potential fixes for things that he doesn't do. Sadly, they don't do much beyond hot water heater repair, replacement, and related plumbing issues. I want to redo a bathroom, and I'd hire Leroy and the Low Price team for any project I had to do. Leroy and Z turned a horrible, frustrating, and depressing situation into a manageable one, and really took care of things throughout the process. 10 stars out of 5! read more

Our daughter's water heater went out one evening and after some frantic calls for estimates and install time frames, we ended up contacting Low Price Water Heaters. They had a competitive price and could install the next morning. They arrived at 0800 as promised, and I found them to be polite, professional, and very thorough in every aspect of the install. The gentleman kept me informed of what he was doing, any damage he found from the leaking water heater, and how best to care for the new heater. When I commented to him at the beginning of the install process to "install it like you own this house" his prompt reply was "always do".
