I bring my son here and the cuts are always consistent. Never have an issue for the times we've been coming here. There isn't a particular person I go to, any gal there always got the job done. Everyone there is very friendly and courteous. They can get busy during the afternoons and weekends. Come early morning around the time they open and there won't be a long wait! I've received a recommendation from a family member. Since the pandemic, I have been looking for a new hairstylist. My hairstylist quit working since the shut down and she ended up moving to another state. I have called all hair salons in Elk Grove and they are either booked for over 6 months or require consultation. A couple of places had requested me to send photos of my hair. Its a mess! Although this place did not have good reviews, a family member stumbled across this hair salon and had her hair cut here. Van was the hair stylist and was really impressed with her. So I called for an appointment and had my hair cut by Van a couple of times before letting her color my hair. She has been amazing, she does a really good job with cutting woman hair and gives suggestions on how to maintain the color and how to style your hair at home. I've been coming here to have Van do my hair for over 8 months now. I highly recommend her and will be a returning customer as long as she's there. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the owner fluctuates the prices. read more

Usually, these types of hair cut places don't take card but this place does. The place is clean and there usually no wait. I was very disappointed that she (lady in the second chair) didn't give me the length I wanted, when I told her twice I wanted mid length but she ended up cutting it above my shoulders:( I wanted to CRY!!! Yesterday I was in dire need of a haircut and I was on a tight schedule. I've been to this place many times before but when I walked in 10 minutes before closing (even though I hate doing it but again desperate) I asked Heidi if I could still get a hair cut. Vickey V. is such a great stylist, I've followed her here from Hair Obsession (now Threading by Preet) just down the way. Actually, she cuts both my parent's hair too, highly recommend. Cut, color, highlights, style, updos, she can do it all! Today I went in for a trim, layers, bangs, and straightening and it was easy to make an appointment via text or phone call directly. I was immediately greeted by a gentlemen who I found later to be the barber. He was very courteous and made good conversation. I sat down and told him the number for the side and trim at the top and he began being a bit rough, almost knocking my head as he is shave the side, repeatedly. Once he was finished I pointed out that the top part of the side was jutting out and he quickly corrected it and said "It's normal to have that because of the shape of head". After he fixed it, I paid my $10 and drove home Before I was going to wash my hair, I noticed he missed a patch above my right ear. I didn't feel like driving 30 minutes to the shop and 30min back, so I had to bust out my barber kit and CUT MY OWN HAIR. This was probably the worst haircut I've ever had. While the woman was nice enough to cut my hair she did not listen to a thing I said about how I wanted it. I was helped by Joanna and she did a great job! Probably the fastest haircut I've had. Honestly, my usual haircuts are a simple 1 and 3 shave with the fade but you'd be surprised on how long it takes some barbers to make that cut happen and happen well. These barbers work by commission so either try and commit to your favorite Barber or tip well! She was very kind and also gave me a complimentary rinse! The place itself is very clean and pleasant. Multiple tv's set up around the salon with college sports, soccer, baseball, football, you name it. Anything that's a good game for the day. My hair looks healthy, styles great and Joanna is very sweet and did exactly as I asked (1.5" trim of the length, redid the layers and over-all color 5N), and only charged $55 for everything. Horrible!! I went in to get a haircut with my boyfriend. We both signed in and waited. They helped my boyfriend first and then just completely ignored me! Two of the ladies were just sitting in the back chatting. One of them came up to look at the sign in list and then just went to the back and started chatting again! I was OK when my sideburns were uneven because I could fix it at home. But,when I asked for a fade on the sides and she ended up cutting the sides with a 1 all around leaving me with a lump of hair left on top (my hair was long!), that's when I had enough. I could have done that on my own at home! They don't pay attention to how they are cutting your hair. I don't think they know what they are doing most of the time.
