He sent me pictures and was very helpful in the process of picking a stain and finish. While Michael and his team were working, they noticed some areas that still had carpet and staples (which were supposed to be removed by our General Contractor, but did not do a great job), and he volunteered to remove it, and was happy to do it! Once all the work was done, my husband and I checked to see how everything looked and we loved it!!! Everything looked so fresh and the stain we selected (weathered oak) looked stunning! I love how everything blended in so well and the stain looked so natural. The team did an AMAZING JOB!!! While you want the team to do an amazing job with the actual job of refinishing, you also want to work with someone that communicates well and cares about the job. This is another area that Michael goes above and beyond. I cannot believe how easy it was to relay information and get a response back!! Michael returned my calls and texts in record time. Michael is not someone that is going into the job just for a paycheck. He cares about his clients and truly wants to see them happy at the end of the project. After reading the reviews, I figured this would be a good place to comparison shop. Best decision I could have made!!! From the moment I walked in, I knew this was an amazing business. Everyone was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Another very important point for me was that there was absolutely no sales pressure. That's a HUGE plus! Long story short, I had received a quote for over $46,000.00 for the cabinets I wanted. This quote did not include any extras like pull out tray/drawers, lazy susans, utensil cabinets next to stove, etc. The price I ended up paying for all of the same cabinets from the original quote from the other guy plus additional cabinets, special pieces, drawer pulls, lazy susan/utensil drawer/pull out trays/drawers, etc. was just under $21,000.00!!! This price was for the exact same manufacturer (Fabuwood) and same exact color as quoted by the other guy...That's a $25,000.00 difference! (If my actual cost seems like a lot please note I got an insane amount of cabinets/pantries, etc.) Also, I don't know how I was so fortunate as to work extensively with Furkhan, but he was incredible throughout the entire renovation process! Despite the fact that I knew what I wanted for our renovations, I knew nothing about the actual process/details. Furkhan was pretty much available 24/7 and spent an endless amount of time with me going over every detail, making sure I didn't miss anything I might need, and answering my never ending questions. He took the time to learn exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond to ensure the desired results! He also came up with ideas that seemed minor but ultimately made the difference between me really liking my kitchen to absolutely loving it!!! (I still just look at the kitchen when I walk in and smile at the results). Another huge plus was that he worked seamlessly with my contractor and everyone else involved in the project (plumber, appliance place, etc.) to ensure the smooth flow of every aspect of the project. Even when I had a small problem with an outside vendor, he took care of it for me and made sure it was resolved immediately. He kept on top of everything going on and kept me updated accordingly. I cannot possibly thank Art of Kitchen Tile & Bath enough for all their hard work. Everyone who has walked into our house cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is and about the quality of the work! And I can never thank Furkhan enough for his insights and suggestions and handling the project with such professionalism as well as following up on every detail to ensure the incredible results we achieved! Our neighbor had hired this company to handle snow removal during the blizzard. The day before things escalated, my mother spoke with our neighbor outside and calmly let him know that the crew should avoid putting snow onto our side of the property. He said he would pass it along. The following morning the crew returned and deposited snow in the same areas anyway. My mother stepped outside around 9:41 AM and made a polite request for the crew to stop. The very first thing the owner said back to her was a sarcastic good morning. She told him she had no desire to argue and that this had already happened the previous day. He responded with a brief philosophical remark about what you put into the universe, told her no problem, and walked away without doing anything. My father had been asleep after working a night shift. He came out once he realized the snow was still there and made a straightforward request for the crew to remove it. The owner responded by turning to his crew and instructing them out loud to ignore my father while he was standing right there. My father explained his situation. The owner brushed it off as though the concern was about where future snow might go, not the snow already sitting on our property and blocking our gate. My father went back inside. Less than a minute after telling his crew to disregard my father, the owner walked over to our neighbor and stated that he had already apologized to us. No apology of any kind had taken place. That claim later became the foundation for every apology reference made in public responses about this incident. Around 9:58 AM the crew appeared to be heading toward their trucks as though they were about to leave. The snow was still on our property. My father came back out, and that alone is the reason it was eventually removed. He told them plainly he just needed that snow taken care of. The owner responded by questioning what snow he was referring to. When my father pointed to it, the owner responded with a rude comment directed at him. That was the first harsh language in the entire interaction, and it came from the owner. He followed it up by referring to my father sarcastically and saying the snow would melt around June. As my father and I walked toward the snow, the owner told us in crude terms to get away, despite the fact that it was sitting on our property. At the same time, without my knowledge, the owner's son pulled a shovel from the truck and threw it in my direction while my back was turned. I only found out after reviewing security camera footage. I tried to have a calm conversation. He cut me off. I pointed to the fence posts separating our two properties and asked how we were supposed to access our gate. He said so what, then made another crude remark about the number of properties he had worked on. My mother offered the simplest resolution: remove what the crew put there and we are done. The owner told her she lacked intelligence, repeated three times that the storm snow justified where his crew placed it, then claimed it came from the town plow. That was his third explanation, after saying the crew could not see the driveway and before that that they mistook it for grass. He then mocked her accent and taunted her. A neighbor watching from nearby said she had been planning to hire him and no longer would. He told her not to. When I mentioned we had footage of the crew moving snow onto our property, the owner's son told us to go ahead and watch it. We are keeping it private out of respect for everyone involved, but we have it. The snow was not removed until nearly 27 minutes after my mother's first request. As the crew left, the owner's son directed an obscene gesture at our family caught on our doorbell camera. The owner confirmed this in his public response. It was the only thing he acknowledged. A few points worth clarifying: The owner introduced harsh language into this situation, directed at my father. My mother's first strong language came 25 minutes later, in direct response to the owner's son directing it at me unprovoked. She was responding, not initiating. No apology was ever made. My mother told the owner directly that an apology and a commitment to clean up was all it would have taken. He never offered either. The fence posts are clearly visible. I pointed to them. The owner said so what. Our family had known our neighbors for nearly twenty years. That relationship is now damaged, not over snow landing in the wrong place, but over how every moment of this was handled. Two sentences and a shovel would have ended it. We asked for an acknowledgment and a cleanup. We never received either willingly.

Over the last few months, Floor Town has completed two flooring projects for us. The first was…read morereplacing our outdated vinyl tile in our kitchen with beautiful luxury grouted vinyl tile. After that project went so smoothly, we decided to again have Floor Town replace flooring in two rooms plus a hallway in our house, this time using sheet vinyl in one room and carpeting in the other room, hall and stairway. Again, everything was done beautifully, even though our house is over a hundred years old and, as such, has some quirks. From the beginning it was a pleasant experience when we went to the Floor Town showroom and Michele, our salesperson, greeted us. We looked at possibilities for flooring there and narrowed down our choices. I had an idea of what I wanted, and Michele presented various options. Her ideas were invaluable: For instance, I went in sure that I wanted ceramic tile, but she also suggested the luxury vinyl tile which we now have in our kitchen. It is not hard, cold and subject to cracking, but has the same look as ceramic, and I am grateful for her suggestion. Then Michele came to our house with the samples we had chosen in the store, and we made the final tile choice. She was patient and knowledgeable, and thus the final result was exactly right. She did the same thing again when we chose flooring for the second carpet and sheet vinyl project, which also resulted in complete satisfaction. In fact, she brought an additional carpet sample to our house besides the ones we had found in the showroom. The carpet from that sample is now the one we have on our floor, because it was perfect for the space. I also cannot say enough good things about the guys who did the installations. They were not only precise and professional in their work, they were also pleasant and unobtrusive while they were working. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience!

This is how every contractor and job SHOULD go…read more Our 25yr old floor had a worn-through home store Rustoleum finish as well as black tire marks from a driveway seal coat that had gotten rained on. Looked awful, impossible to clean, old finish chunks flaking up all over. Requested quote through Home Advisor, and Glenn called within the hour. Showed up on time as promised. Quote was competitive with the other. Emailed written estimate next day. World Class had 14 reviews from very happy customers, so we signed on. Work scheduled for a few days later, crew showed up on time with Glenn. Old finish ground down with almost no dust. They had plastic and bungee cords to cover the few pieces we had to leave outside (generator, cabinet). Moisture barrier applied after sweep up and vacuum. Dries overnight. Meanwhile we pick the finish from about a dozen choices on card-sized chips. This "color" is achieved through flake that is used to smother the next day's coating of epoxy. Crew shows up next day, applies epoxy and eight buckets of the flake finish. Dries overnight. Final day, on time, to clear away flake not embedded and apply the non-skid clear topcoat. Two days later, drive on to the amazing and easy to are for garage floor! Absolutely outstanding every step of the way.
