Really wanted to like this place as we recently moved here from San Antonio and are looking for decent Mexican food and it just wasn't. We had a pretty simple order of a few breakfast tacos and the order was messed up 3 times - not just a wrong topping but completely wrong and was very slow. At first brought one taco then another with literally just cheese in it for something that was suppose to be bean and cheese then they brought a beans and rice taco then just the ingredients of one of the tacos but in separate dishes. Flour tortillas were sub par they just seemed not fully cooked but also greasy. At this point we just asked for the check and he rang us up for every single dish that was totally wrong. I didn't even want to complain because we just wanted to get out of there. The only thing this place had going for it was tejano music and half decent chips and salsa though was really mild especially tomatillo which was kinda bland. read more

We had this restaurant last night for the first time & I can only say great things about it!!!! This will definitely not be the last time. I have loved the Necas on Mason road and was very excited to have one near me. Walking in there was a real weird vibe. First being the modern look all beige and white, I really thought I walked in the wrong door. There was almost nothing that gave me an indication I was in a Mexican restaurant until I got the menu. One thing that caught my eye was an Elvis impersonator poster that would be playing live soon......what? Now the service was really good, our server was personable and chatty, I like the interaction. The food was good. I guess I am spoiled by the Necas on Mason road in Katy. The feel is homey and they have the best little house band that is so darn cute!! And the food....dang! My husband and I were introduced to Neca's today by friends who live in the area. We both loved it! Excellent service and food. Delicious chips and salsa, also creamy avocado dip. I ordered the El Cinco- a chicken fajita / taco and pork carnitas with Neca's sauce - a rich, cheesy poblano sauce (I think poblanos!). The dish came with refried beans and rice. My dining companions ordered the El Uno- all were very happy with their order. The portions are very large, so come hungry! They also have a wide selection of margaritas. Overall, a wonderful place for lunch or dinner, or just a margarita or two at happy hour. All in all, great Tex-Mex. read more

First, the place has no ambiance. The food was absolutely horrible. We got shrimp San Miguel and Tamales dinner. The shrimp were literally swimming in grease; they were so salty that they we're rendered inedible. The tamales dinner was equally inedible: the meat was nothing but chicken gristle. This is the last time that we will ever get anything from this restaurant. If you don't want to waste your money and want to get something that you can actually eat, go elsewhere. read more

I've been waiting for this spot to open for over a year, and my first meal was their carnitas. It was absolutely delicious. The flour tortillas are thin, light, and a perfect vessel for the sizzling pork loin style carnitas. I typically am not crazy for Mexican rice, but they serve theirs on the sizzle plate, and the flavors were excellent. The charro beans simply just made me smile. Same can be said for the salsa verde. Imagine trying a place you have never tried before, expecting some very traditional Tex-Mex food and getting exactly that......and more! The red salsa was served warm and was delicious! I ordered enchiladas verde...yum! The chicken was moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. The rice was fresh and flavorful with an addition of peas and corn mixed in. Definitely say "yes" to the charro beans. We loved the clean, quiet, open atmosphere. Lovely place to have long conversations with friends. There is road construction in the area but don't let that stop you from visiting this establishment.....easily navigable into the parking lot. We WILL be back! read more

Terrible customer service! I ordered a chicken burrito, paid $5 extra for fajitas chicken but received a burrito filled with refried beans and rice with literally 2 tiny pieces of chicken. When I called to complain, a female manager said to come back and she would remake the order free of charge since they screwed up. I went back 2 days later but same manager I spoke to o er the phone straight up refused to honor her word. Instead she demanded that I pay for again and she would apply a discount. Not what she told me over the phone. Clearly a liar and cheat! Total rip off place. Poor service. Will never return. Beware of this place. Bunch of con artists and stingy ppl running the joint. Food is not all that, lacks flavor and clearly filled with filler ingredients minus protein though you pay about $22 dollars for a burrito with 2 tiny pieces of chicken. Becka's in Fulshear is now serving breakfast on weekends, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! It was delicious!! The menu offered a broad range of traditional Mexican breakfast options. I had the veggie and cheese omelette and my husband had the Rodrigo breakfast. Both were fabulous and with very generous portions! Service was top notch! It's great to have another breakfast/brunch option near the hood. We'll definitely be back! read more

While the food is very good, the service is poor. I placed an online to go order. I arrived at the prescribed time. Somehow, they had no idea I was coming. No one checked the online ordering system. Then suddenly I get a new confirmation that my order will be ready in 20-30 more minutes. While I sit and wait at the bar, no one offers me even a glass of water. When the meal finally comes, the order is wrong. And the best part is that they tried to blame me for going to to wrong location, which I quickly proved was wrong with my original confirmation. This is your basic Mexican restaurant. Food was well done. Place was clean, service was fine. But it was ordinary. To some people, this will be their favorite place. I could go there again and enjoy my meal, but nothing has me Jones-ing to go back. The salsa was a bit spicier than most places which I liked, but the chips were a little less than average. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. We ordered beef fajitas. When it first came out it was very red. We sent it back to have it remade, it looked fine but was inedible. it was way too chewy and it tasted like grease. We then asked for chicken. When the chicken came out it was basically raw. We told the server and he said there was nothing he could do about it. Basically all the food was disgusting and I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. !!!!!! read more

Neca's food is ok but they really need to pay attention to the online ordering. I ordered via DoorDash at 1.16p but Neca's didn't confirm the order until 1.47 -- minutes before the order was estimated to be delivered. That obviously added to the wait time AND the order was incorrect -- dry beef quesadilla instead of beef fajitas, and the eggplant was covered in jalapenos which I specifically requested be left off (highly allergic) so that dish was a waste.
