I wanted to wait for my insurance co. to send roadside assistance, but was told my car was "blocking the roadway," though it was actually well situated in a parallel parking place. After the car was towed to Haskins, my insurance company arranged to have my car transported to a body shop closer to my residence. Mike, the manager at Roadside Rescue refused to release the vehicle to my insurance company unless I came in person to sign a release. I live 2 hours away, and this was just before the holidays, so I was embarking on family travel making it difficult to fulfill this request. I asked that that Mike send me the release form in the mail. He refused. I asked if he could email the release form to me. He refused. I asked for my spouse to sign the release form in person on my behalf. He refused. They essentially were holding my vehicle hostage while also insisting that Haskins Automotive, a body shop in Wellesley, could provide the body work. To agree to release the car to my insurance company, they insisted that they tow the car out of state, which out of desperation, my insurance adjuster agreed to do. Roadside charged almost as much for the towing as the new body shop quoted for the body work. Vitale, the mechanic at Haskins, is very nice; however, with Mike, the manager of Roadside Rescue, an affiliated business, the business practices include intimidation and force. If they had a great reputation, they would not have to impose their service on customers.

Joey, the garage owner, is knowledgeable, honest, and unfailingly kind. Mr. Ted Negoshian, Owner of this established and supposed family run enterprise has failed to notify his risk insurance company nor has he even acknowledged the incident, as multiple damages occurred nor has he called to apologize to the homeowner for his negligent driver who actually left the scene of the incident while extensive damage was done as well. He certainly has not come forward to call or offer the local Police Department the proper risk insurance information nor has he assumed any liability to the property owner for over a week now ! This situation must be remediated as it has caused much aggravation and is simply abhorrent and shameful ! The drivers license should be revoked as well as the TWO different employees who answer the phone for this towing company are not only RUDE and defensive but do not offer any assistance or information either to locate the owner of this towing company to assist the elder disabled homeowner. I believe a call to the Attorney General's Office will be in order along with the Better Business Bureau as this is a business that needs to be held accountable for their actions of property damage, as well as the driver himself who left the scene of the incident without so much as ringing the door bell of the homeowner to notify them of his misdeeds of where the property damage occurred.
