I've been here twice for routine cleaning and a follow up to get some cracked sealant repaired. Each time, I've been impressed with how up-to-date they are. The first time I came in they took full mouth digital x-rays with a machine that rotates around your head while you just stand there. So much easier than sitting through a dozen individual x-rays! Unfortunately, my insurance only pays for one full set of x-rays per year, and at the time it had only been 11 months since my last x-rays. Uh oh. I told the hygienist and she made sure they took the full set out of my file and didn't charge me. The hygienist, I think her name is Carol (?), seems more knowledgeable and skilled than others I've had clean my teeth. She's very friendly and has a good sense of humor, which is nice when you're letting that person poke around your vulnerable gums with sharp metal hooks. I actually enjoyed meeting and conversing with my hygienist! I've only seen Dr. Brewster, and he is absolutely pleasant. Also has a good sense of humor, and seems to really want to help his patients. For example, I have a bad habit of clenching my jaw and should get a night guard to protect my teeth. Insurance won't cover any of it, and when Dr. Brewster found that out he was ready to talk financial options in a very non pressuring way. Just trying to make sure I could afford the necessary treatment. As I said, the office is up-to-date. TV right in front of you while they clean or fix your teeth. Nice waiting room. I witnessed the front desk get cursed out by a patient and eventually found out why. The front desk is horrible. They have 4 people at the front but nobody to answer a phone and at least put you on hold. I paid for a service I never received, I called for weeks and didn't get an answer nor call back. They are open only 3 days out the week and their hours change weekly... They said they lost my voicemails and all I got was excuses no accountability even from the people higher up. Office manager is rude and moody. Extremely unprofessional! Not sure about the other reviews but I will never go there again. I spent literally 8 months trying to get the cost of a few procedures and the office manager was clueless. I am going to a place where the practice has better trained staff! read more

This dentist office, the staff and Dr. Thomas are absolutely wonderful and provide great service. I have a fear of dentist after having a horrible experience but the team here has been understanding and gentle for every visit. My family also now comes here too. read more

If there was a rating below one, that is what I will give for this practice. Their office is gross, and their hygiene compliance is bad. They don't wash their hands , they wear gloves and go from touching one surface to another. The staff is rude and unprofessional, including the office manager. They don't know how to talk to patients/customers. They have no to time for patients, they rush you and they are very last minute. They over book their schedule and a day before your appointment they cancel because the doctor is not available. I went to the practice because it's closed to home, at the time it was under different management. Since Dr. Thomas and her team took over, everything is a mess. read more

This is absolutely the worst dentist office ever. first and foremost I arrived ten minutes after my appointment and they told me that they couldn't see me anymore I'm a new patient the girl at the desk act like she was annoyed at the fact that I even showed up. Be clear if I would have showed up at my at exactly 12 they would have had me sitting down waiting for 10 to 15 minutes before somebody even ever put me back or some me so let's not play yourself until you got a 15 minute grace. That's dumb, then they try to tell me that they are just going to do my x-rays, and reschdule me after I took time out of my day to come up here. I dont have time to play games. Don't waste your time making an appointment to this dentist they don't want your business obviously find a local dentist and stick with them these big business conglomerates have no people skills. read more

I had a really good experience here! Dr. Manikat and the other dental assistants were awesome. I went in as a new patient for a routine visit and after x-rays was told I had a cracked filling and also needed a crown. They offered to start the process for a new crown and repair the cracked filling on the spot. I also appreciated that they showed me the pictures of the problem spots from the x-rays. I generally am very reluctant to go to the dentist because of past experiences, but I left with a super positive experience and would not hesitate to return. read more

Staff was nice enough but the dentist was severely lacking. She added many things I did not need to inflate the bill and tried to even pressure me to put on a crown without knowing if I needed a root canal or not. I went to another doctor and was given proper treatment for 1/2 the price they quoted. I would not go to this dentist, and would not trust these reviews on Google. There are many better dentists in Bowie. The only plus is this is a chain and they want as many clients as possible so you will be able to get a quick appointment. Also, charged me about $100 for a x-ray where I did not even get any digital files and no antibiotics. read more

First of all I was so impressed when I chose that densit, but by the time I start not feel comfy with the front office and feel weird from even the dr, like they are on rush and doesn't have time for you. And in the past 6 month, I have a horrible experience with the appointment service, they just call me a day before that I cant have that appointment for 3 of my kids, because they don't open on that day anymore! Really! Last minute notice and they act like you are nothing, and happend with my husband the same after confirming the appointment then they call him a day before and says oh sorry we close on 1 PM, really? And one appointment month ago I have 2 of kids I went on time we waited for hour and half for each child and I felt so mad and upset and I left without on of my kids have seen by the dr I left after 7pm.while the appointment was 5:30, I did the survey and spoke to the lady at front office about the matter but one cares or call or apology or anything. I give 0 for this dentist. They have lost 5 of us. Very bad experience. read more

This is the worst dentist office I've ever been to. The dentist told me I need a filling and I said ok fill it. My next visit the dentist tells me that same tooth needs a filling! I'm like huh??? The dentist said that we only filled the top of the tooth but another part needs to be filled on that same tooth. I said y didn't u fill it the last time I was here? She said cuz u was concern bout the top of the tooth. If you put a needle in my damn mouth for a tooth common sense I want whatever work/filling that needs to be done to that tooth done then!!!!! I wish I would have read the reviews first smh. So I went in complaining of pain between my teeth. The tech was very nice and determined to find the root of the pain (She gets 5 stars) however, the dentist (tan skinned young woman) just comes in and goes oh ok pain we'll do a filling (paraphrased) without even really examining the area. Also she drilled into a tooth that I wasn't even previously complaining about and now I can't eat on that side of my mouth because of the immense pain and sensitivity. Also the tooth I initially complained about is still causing me pain. To make matters worse the teeth are on opposite sides of my mouth so I can't really eat. I have found a different doctor and I'm just going to tell them to root canals so I don't have to go back to a dentist for a while. read more

Every time I called to make an appointment, I would make it for 6pm and then I would get an appointment reminder....one time saying it was 3pm, one time 5pm, so I would call and the receptionist would say she doesn't have me down for 6pm so she would reschedule me. Then tell me I needed to fill out new patient forms when I've been going there already for 3 years! When I explain to her I'm a former patient she some how can't find me in the system. I went in for the $59 dollar special, all I needed was a cleaning. The staff was nice enough, when I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment. They got me in the chair, x-rays, oh boy, every angle. Hygienist comes into the exam room, says a periodontal charting and probing is needed. I am like; No, that's okay I am just here for a cleaning. Dentists comes into the exam room, insists on the perio charting. I say, nope I am just here for the cleaning. Perio charting is extra, right??? Yep! He says, then I can't do the cleaning without the charting. Okay, now I worked in a dental office and for a dental insurance company. The young doctor starts talking standards of care, that's crap, it's ALL UP SELL $$$. Got up, left without paying a dime and said see ya! Do yourself a favor and avoid this practice at all costs $$$ or it will cost you big. Bait and switch, scam artists with their mail offers. No wonder, no patients who would put up with them when they treat their patients this way. Shabby! read more

This place gave me the worst dentist experience ever. I came in for fillings and about a week later I was in pain. I finally got scheduled to see a different dentist (only availability) and I waited 20 mins past my appointment time to be seen for a 3 minute visit that resulted in "correcting my overbite" but yet I was still in pain. The third visit was the same. I waited over 30 minutes to see the doctor. The hygienist asked why I waited so long to report my pain.....Again the doctor said come back if I experience any other pain after she "corrected the overbite" . Soo I called (this is the fourth time for this initial visit) to see if I could come in right away and they said no, they have nothing available and I have to wait while I'm in pain. Anyways, time to find a new dentist.. read more

I was a patient here and have decided to go somewhere else more professional. My first visit here was good, the service was fast, they took a lot of X-rays and then I had my teeth cleaned. The male dental hygienist was very nice told me how I should be brushing and flossing ( I have crowded teeth) and did a great job. The Male doctor chatted with me for a few minutes and told me that I needed to get a filling and a crown. I have never needed a crown before but I figured I might. I made another appointment to get my temp crown, that appointment was also good, except my temp crown fell out after a few days so I had to go back again. I then had my final appointment at Neibauer Dental Care. I went to get my real crown put on and so far the appointment was fine. I was getting ready to leave and they asked me when I wanted to schedule an appointment for my filling and that I needed to get 3 more crowns.... I was like WHAT? That was never told to me at my initial appointment. I paid for my services and have never gone back here. I have moved different states a few times and have seen several dentists and I have never been told I needed that much work after my initial visit with the X-rays. From my first visit to when I received my real crown that was only a few weeks. I feel like the Doctor here is young and wants to make $$$. I would recommend to get a 2nd opinion if you feel like they are trying to give you treatment that you do not need. read more

When the air conditioning was not working on a very hot, humid day, they did not even have the courtesy to say that they were running 1/2 an hour behind schedule to allow a 94-year old patient to wait in an airconditioned car. Then the mix up with the scheduling -- she hadn't been seen in over 2 years and this appointment was only a brief check up not a full check up so we are supposed to make another appointment to come back to take care of the actual problem. Will never set foot in the place again. What happened to customer service -- courtesy -- ask the questions or explain the different types of appointments on the phone not in the office. read more

I think this place is a scam. The bait and switch. I go there and the people are nice. But they try to overcharge everything. I went to get work done and they said I would not have to pay anything that my insurance will cover it. Then I get a bill. I asked and they said Insurance didn't cover it all. So I paid it. I went back and they gave me a quote. I SPECIFICALLY asked what will the insurance pay and what will be out of my pocket. I asked them to contact insurance as I would not get this done if I had to come out of anything but what was quoted. They told me that this was all I was going to need to pay. I am a new patient to this practice & have had 3 visits so far, 2 of which were emergency visits. My 1st visit was with Dr Keem who was exceptionally kind & explained the root canal I needed in detail & what other work I would need done & the order of urgency to future dental work. He even called to check on me the next day. My next visit was with Dr Thomas who was also exceptionally nice,this was also an emergency visit on a Friday. Dr Thomas, Gina, & BP went out of their way to take care of me. I was a little late for my appt so I did have to wait & unfortunately their were a couple of people ahead of me that had complicated visits but I was assured that I would be taken care of because they understood that my issue was serious enough that if I was not treated I would suffer greatly over the weekend. The dental asst BP has the best skills numbing you for a procedure & he is very personable, kind, & caring. Needless to say my visit took hours to complete & Dr Thomas stayed late with me along with Gina who worked at the front desk. They took very good care of me & showed exceptional concern for my comfort & pain level & Dr Thomas even called me the next day to check on me. I think this practice is wonderful & plan to be a patient for a long time. read more

Absolutely the worst dental experience that I have ever encountered. After the military I sought outside dental care and stumbled upon Neibauer Dental (Bowie/Waldorf MD) with their high tech environment but under skilled young dentists. I went to Dr. Yu in Bowie. I found Neibauer staff was very friendly in order to better dupe their patients into undergoing unnecessary treatment at a very expensive cost. Dr. Yu only motive was to get as much money from each visit as possible. the office did unnecessary work on both me and my daughter teeth in order to incur over exaggerated cost, ruining our teeth at the expense of greed. Dr. Yu placed four crowns where inlays were requested. She even lied and stated that a cavity was underneath a gold crown in order to replace it with a costly new crown. During the ongoing procedures Dr. Yu was so over booked that she instructed her young female dental assistant (uncertified/unqualified dentist) to do work on my mouth (install a crown, cured the crown that she placed on my tooth, made adjustments to crown with a drill, and the black wax paper.) When your mouth is open and you are laying in their chair your at their mercy. I eventually asked "Is Dr. Yu here today? trying to let her know that I was not comfortable with her working in my mouth. from that visit came a year long of pain. I'm currently experiencing problems with the tooth pain, sensitivity as well as the opening between the gum line and the crown. When I brought the problem to Dr. Yu's attention she only prescribed sensodyne cream. In addition, I was met by her huge harassing black receptionist with dreads and an over bearing attitude. The receptionist claimed my account showed a balance due when in reality I had a credit for over $400.00 due for a mouth guard that I never received from their office. Dr. Yu also shares the wealth with her associates, I was unnecessarily referred to an endodontists located outside her facility costing me $150.00. although her credential state that she is trained in endodontists. sent my daughter to Neibaur Dental. (Dr. Yu) with insurance and a credit card handy she was told she had ten cavities, DR. Yu filled them all in one visit. Dr. Yu falsely drilled into my daughters tooth destroying the sealant that had been placed on them for protection by a prior dentist. Ruining the teeth and causing damage. the age of placing trust in this dentist does not exist. Neibauer dental and their dentist, Dr. Yu only, motive was to get as much money from each patient visits as possible. Even at the cost of wreaking havoc to their patient's teeth. read more
