Due to pregnancy and my own fear of the dentist from 1 bad experience years ago.... this is the first dentist i've seen in about 7 years. I have seen them about once a week for 2 months for different procedures; cleanings, fillings, crowns, etc. The staff have been nothing but nice and accommodating. Dr. Ahmed is attentive (quick but sweet) and makes sure you're pain free, comfortable and get as many breaks as you need. I haven't felt this comfortable at the dentist in quite some time. I had a cleaning appointment at 7 am so that I could return to my college campus, 2 hours away, by 10:45 am. What should have been a 20-30 minute appointment caused me to be stuck in the dentist chair until after 9:00 am. This was majorly because the doctor here, Dr. Hijaz, was having a personal conversation on the clock with a patient or colleague right outside my door for over 45 minutes. The rest of the process previously was slow as well, but I regret not bringing this to everyone's attention and interrupting this unprofessionalism because I was then over and hour late in my return to campus. So I was about 36 weeks pregnant, had a filling fall out and needed a new one. Still had not found a dentist I liked yet from moving here so attempted to try these guys. They did the filling while watching a soccer game... cheering and crap while they had tools in my mouth. I mean whole body jumping up cheering. While doing dental work on a pregnant woman. Told me I need braces which I've learned is usually a money grab as I've been told by my long time dentists in the other places I've lived that it wasn't necessary. And honesty the practice wasn't very clean. Oh and the thing that pissed me off the most. They refused to do dental care on me without my midwives approval. Talk about behind in the times. Anyone who stays up on their research knows dental work like a filling is safe while pregnant. And the fact they made me leave the office and come back only after approval. Literally treated me like I was some sort of minor not a freakin 30 year old woman who has multiple kids. Like I was someone who had no idea what is best for my unborn child and myself. Just fired me up. They get two stars because they DID do the filling. And it's lasted the last 15 months just fine. But I won't go back. read more

Why would I want to talk to a business manager, who is well versed in debating and a two faced liar. The point is they should have told me the panoramic xray was not. covered. I said just the covered cleaning before the end of the year. All businesses are trying to get as much money as possible any way they can. It was not that way when I was young my mother would have had a fit, but now it would not matter. They are going by corporate mandates and greed. Rudest, most unprofessional office I have ever dealt with. Trying for over a week to get a care plan and quote with cost of care from our insurance provider. My husband's first appointment was in June and it's now the end of July. When I got upset that it was taking so long, I called and spoke with Heidi and Noelle and eventually got hung up on. Can I rate them a zero? Its been a year. My husband STILL doesn't have his dentures. We keep getting the runaround. He goes in, has them fitted. He leaves. They don't fit the moment he uses them. He has to make another appointment but it's weeks later. He calls. They promise to call back. They don't. Now we are getting the runaround for getting our money back and rather than issue a check, they are trying to convince us to give them another try. Check has been promised, but its being "processed" and will be 2-3 weeks. I'll believe it when I see it in my mailbox. Never ever again will I deal with an office of Neibauer. read more

Nice people, very good dental hygienist. Most expensive dentist I've ever been to. My dental insurance pays for two cleanings per year. With the same policy I have had for years, they charged $120 and told me that they could only clean the top in one session and the bottom in another because of my insurance. The before insurance price for cleaning the top was $930. The office staff were definitely not surprised when I told them I would not be back because of the prices they were charging. read more

I was new to the area and was due for a cleaning. I had never had my teeth polished and flossed before scraping the teeth. Also I've never been some place that has assistant dental hygienists. The 'assistant" is the one who did the flossing and polishing. I questioned it and was told it was the 'new' way of doing things. Then the hygienist came in for about 5 minutes to scrape the tartar from my teeth. The dentist came in and said I had a cavity and he could fix it right then. I let them do it. I've never in my life had a 'cavity' fixed like he did. Normally you can smell when they drill into the tooth. I smelled nothing. It took like 5 minutes for the whole thing. To this day I think the cavity was a sham. Just a way to bilk my insurance. Don't be going there if you want to keep your teeth. read more

Absolutely amazing office! I had been nervous about replacing an existing filling with a crown but felt totally at ease once I entered the office. The front office staff was welcoming and took care of all my insurance and financial needs effectively and accurately. The assistants in the back made sure I was comfortable the entire time and explained the process in detail as the appointment progressed. The dentist was genuinely interested in my well being as a person and not just another patient in the chair. I have recommended this office to all of my family and friends and have now made this office my dental home! read more

I concur with the negative reviews given this dental service. I stopped there only because my regular dentist wasn't available and I was in some pain. They said the tooth couldn't be repaired and had to come out. Said it would cost about $800 to pull it. I said no thank you and left. Stuck out the pain till I could see my own dentist, who fixed the tooth and fitted it for a crown. It wasn't cheap but at least he saved the tooth. And for less than Neibauer wanted for pulling the tooth. Adding insult to injury, I received a bill today from Neibauer for $177. Really? For what??? I'm writing them a strongly worded letter telling them they can kiss my petunia! Neibauer = Ripoff! read more

Six months ago I would have given Neibauer a five star rating but now after seeing how well their work holds up, I wish I could go back in time and warn myself about this place! I went to this office to begin the process of repairing my teeth. I needed quite a bit of work done. Two bridges, a partial, and lots of fillings. After probably 7 or 8 appointments, and thirteen thousand dollars later, I am left with patchwork teeth, and an ill fitting partial that they just can't seem to get correct (it feels like wearing those plastic fangs you get for Halloween) the material they use for fillings is equivalent to silly putty, and kept falling out time after time, although I will say they did glue it back in place the first 2 or 3 times it happened, but after that the dentist told me I needed a crown. When I asked them why didn't they do that in the first place, the dentist's response was, Umm, I believe it was an issue of cost? Or uhh I'm not sure. But here's the estimate for the work needed. And offers to do TWO crowns for $3,000 instead $5,000 which is what he would normally charge. I just left All Smiles dentistry who informed me that Neibauer left cavities in 6 of teeth they filled!! So now I have to come up with $3700 to correct what Neibauer Dental did to my teeth. The staff is very nice and friendly but I'd rather my dentist be honest with me than steal from me and smile in face like Neibauer did. read more

This the best dental experience I have ever had, and at 65 I have had a few! With years of neglect an extensive plan was necessary to bring my "smile" back to something reasonable. Throughout the treatment, my comfort and well being was of constant concern for all the staff. Every aspect of the visits, from the friendly greeting at the front desk, through the extensive surgical work, which was most expertly performed, to the willingness to work within my budget plan, has been marvellous. I had to at least put one star when I want to put negative! I heard horrible things about this dentist office but figured I would give them a chance. Horrible mistake. I went to get a filling replaced and they said I needed a crown. Half way through my crown the dentists stops drilling and said my tooth is fractured. How this happened, who knows!! I'd like to point fingers but can't prove it. She told me I had to pull my tooth and she can't save it. She gave me a referral to an oral surgeon that didn't take my insurance. I called anther dentist office and made an appointment. While there the dentist confirmed he can save my tooth with a root canal and that it didn't need to be removed!!!!!!!! I will NEVER go back to this place. read more

This was the most terrible dental experience that I have ever had. The dentist wanted me to get a root canal because my tooth was viable, just in bad shape. I have no insurance, I certainly could not afford the $1800 they wanted (for a FRONT tooth), and they don't take payments, so I opted for him to pull it. He was not happy and pretty much told me so. Then he proceeded to yank the tooth out of my mouth with absolutely no finesse or care. Then he shows it to me and says "shame, that's a good tooth". I left crying because I was so embarrassed. The office staff was supposed to run my payment through care credit so that I wouldn't have to pay the interest for six months and they did even do that right. Truth be told, I should have known better than to go to a chain dentist. Won't make that mistake again. read more

Since I cannot put negative stars, I guess I will use 1. I should have done this review last year when they messed up my son's tooth. Long story short: Emergency tooth ache, took him to this place the next morning. They said it needs to be pulled (baby tooth). Dentist pulled only 1/2 of the tooth, leaving the roots embedded. OMG - my kid is in tears from the pain when he tried to dig it out. Couldn't do it. Sent me and my crying son to Fredericksburg for a dental surgeon. Seriously?? Almost an hour later, we saw the new dentist, gave my son something for the pain & tells us to come back to his McLean office the next day (Saturday). $700 later he was able to fix the error that the Neibauer dentist did. I should have sued them. Being the better person, I didn't and was content enough to know that my kid was no longer in pain. If anyone asks me about a dentist in culpeper, I def do NOT recommend this one. They still send me emails on my birthdays! Sigh..... I wish they would go out of business because I would hate to have this happen to someone else's kid. If he was not certified for pediatric dentistry, then he should have told me that in the first place. read more

Told my son he needed a tooth pulled, when a second opinion allowed just a filling. Also refused to release the x-rays they took to the second dentist, necessitating unnecessary additional exposure to more radiation. read more

Everyone is extremely friendly and courteous. The doctor is knowledgable and spoke to my 12 year old like she truly matters. I can call and get an appointment when it works for me. They are wonderful! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of how expensive it is. I have had problems with double charges and issues with insurance processing with them but they always correct it. read more

I had been getting great dental care until this last appointment, although they never seemed to be able to get insurance right. This last visit, everything and everyone seems to have changed on the staff. Very poor work on the cleaning, and they charged me extra for work they didn't do. They even had the nerve to describe me as a "high profit patient" due to work I had done about a year ago. Money, money, money, I guess. I'll be moving onto a new dentist now. I give them 1 star to be able to post. They did not contact my insurance company for benefit coverage like they said, they billed my insurance for a crown they did not place, they put a temporary crown on the wrong tooth, they did not follow their treatment plan that they insisted I sign before beginning treatment and after 6 weeks of repeated phone calls I finally got my money refunded. I ended up going to an endodontist and a wonderful new dental practice to start all over again. Had the dentist at Niebauer followed his own plan of treatment, I would not be starting over for dental care that I began in October. read more

I have been going to this office for basic cleanings and while not super happy with the dentist, i never had any real work done. Then at my last appointment, the dentist told me I should get their invisalign braces (even though I already had braces as a child) and she said they invisalign would prevent cavities! I challenge her on this and said no thanks. Guess what ... she then informed me that I had 6 cavities, even though 6 moths earlier at my last check I had none. Not being a dentist, how could I know if I did or did not have them,so I had her fill them. 4 of the cavities turned out to be rated cosmetic by my insurance company, so I had to pay most of the bill. One was a real cavity and now, one month after having it filled, my tooth aches. I was debating going in to have her take care of the bad filling she put in, but thank goodness I searched for ratings first. I am changing dentists today! read more

This company is definitely more interested in being a profit center than in caring for the people of Culpeper. They have above average costs for care that will quickly deplete the total annual insurance part of most insurance plans, even the cleaning and xray portions that are 100% covered, but significantly reduce any other opportunities for dental care. Anyone that will charge $388 when insurance is involved and $59 when there is no insurance should be investigated! read more

I went to Neibauer in 2012. I just had a cleaning. I have been seeing them ever since. I just took my Husband and Daughter for the first time and they recommended thousands of dollars worth of work. We only wanted a cleaning. We cancelled future appts. obviously. After I cancelled, they called me stating I owed a balance from a cleaning in 2012. I advised them that I have been a patient for 3 years and they never mentioned it before and I didnt understand why I had a balance when my insurance covered cleanings 100%. They then advised that my insurance declined stating I wasnt a patient. I reviewed my insurance with them and it turns out, they had a company listed that I had never heard of. Of course they had no record. I have recently provided them with proof of insurance for the coverage with the correct company. They are still hassling me and telling me they are going to sent me to collections. I am so frustrated. Why would I not have provided insurance information for a cleaning especially if I had insurance and why did it take them 3 years to realize I had a balance. On top of that, they were very rude and unhelpful. I had to dig back three years for their error. read more
